Pocophone stuck in endless boot. - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

I've got the newest MIUI update, reseting the phone and it ended up stuck on the "Pocophone by Xiaomi" screen.
I haven't had root installed.
My device is also unlocked.
Fixed : I had to format Data, and it fixed it.

How long did it take to boot after you wiped data from recovery? Was it stock recovery?

bootloop and white screen

hi all, my friend got mediapad and he wanted custom rom so I flashed twrp recovery and his tablet became bricked, it shows huawei logo, then white screen and then after few seconds it shuts down, I tried to restore my backup to his tablet (CM10.1) via twrp and then it booted without problems but when I do wipe data/actory reset, the white screen and bootloop appears again, where is the problem? in twrp recovery? should I choose cwm for his device? twrp shows error "E: unknown filesystem datamedia" (also on my device but mine works without problems)
thanks for any help

Did you say you did a restore then you wiped data/factory reset?
Try opening twrp wipe data, wipe the system perform factory reset, then installed fresh version of cm10.1
but this happen also with stock recovery and stock rom install (dload folder), it starts installation (green android with gearbox) and after 2 seconds it restarts (and keep looping) it looks like corrupted partitions and it started after twrp flash
maybe you need to enter to fastboot mode and then push stock's ROM one-by-one like ICS beta back to honeycomb
what partitions must I flash ? are their names same as img files in rom's zip?

[Q] Bootloop help

well I was flashing MIUI V5 UNIVERSAL - v. 3.7.12 for the 3vo and it got stuck in a bootloop. to try and fix it I tried to restore a backup and that rom played a little of the boot animation but then gets stuck in a bootloop. I also tried to wipe/format everything but, that didn't work. If a logcat would help i would appreciate a link on how to do that without being able to boot. I can boot to 4ext recovery. The cause could be that while flashing I selected the file to flash, I selected a file that didn't finish downloading. Thanks in advance for any help
Also if it matters my original rom was negalite blurom.

I ran into your same problem today.
At the time my phone was on latest sprint firmware, ICS coolrom (latest rom and kernel) with hboot 1.58 unlocked s-off.
The steps I did preparing to install MIUI was
1) wipe data/factory reset from 4EXT
2) format all (except sdcard)
3) Install MIUI > chose mirage kernal
4) rebooted
after reboot it was stuck at the logo, at least I thought it was, let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Pulled the battery and tried steps 1-4 again.
Kept getting bootloop at that point. Boot splash -> logo -> reboot.
Next I tried flashing the latest mirage kernel from 4ext.
No luck, same issue.
Tried repeating steps 1-4 again.
No luck stuck in bootloop.
At that point I tried to run recovery from a backup I knew was working.
Wiped all data and format all -> selected recovery from 4ext.
Result: still boot loop.
At that point I tried changing bootloader to 1.58.58 jbear. and wiping/formatting all and trying recovery again from known working cool ics backup.
Result: still bootloop.
Switched back to 1.58 bootloader and tried fresh install of CoolICS rom. (I always wipe all data and format all before any rom change.)
Result: still bootloop.
At this point I was getting frustrated but I had an idea that the MIUI install when selecting mirage kernel may have messed up the partition size for the kernel since the mirage kernel states it must be flashed from the flash gui app first to resize the boot partition.
Next I downloaded pacman rom and attempted that install.
result: could not install due to wrong bootloader.
Next I downgraded bootloader to 1.50.50 jbear.
Wiped everything and retried pacman rom.
Install success, before starting the reboot from recovery, I received a message that the boot image has changed and will make a backup/format/flash the new boot image.
upon reboot I was able to successfully boot into pacman rom.
At that point I tried to wipe all again and install CoolICS rom again.
result: bootloop, but probably because of bootloader version. Did not fully test it as at this point I just wanted a working phone again and wanted to try out MIUI.
Rebooted to recovery and wiped everything again.
Installed MIUI using stock kernel option. This time on reboot I let it sit at the rom logo without touching anything. I think it restarted once on its own.
Result: Success. Phone working normally now. such a headache I am just leaving it as is for now.

Odd brick situation

I've got CM13 with TWRP recovery on my Moto E LTE.
I messed something up - I think it was when I made a system app into a user app - and the phone rebooted and got stuck on the "bootloader unlocked" splash screen.
No problem - I have a TWRP backup. But when I restore the backup it freezes at 16% every time - at the step where it says "wiping data without wiping data/media"
If I try to wipe the cache, TWRP hangs.
If I try to reflash a fresh CM13 build, it seems to flash successfully, but when I boot it gets stuck on the "bootloader unlocked" splash screen.
Any ideas?
Try using a different custom kernel and try booting up

Device does not boot into recovery

My phone recently have gone into a boot loop, so I booted it into recovery and wiped it in order to reflash. But then, when I updated the TWRP recovery to the latest version, the phone stopped bootin into it. Now only the fastboot mode works, and when I try to boot into recovery, it just reboots. I am trying the twrp-3.1.1-0-kenzo on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. How do I make it work?
When u flashed new recovery did you try booting it using key combo before booting to system

Of course. That's when it just flashes the red light indicator and reboots. In fact, there is no "system" to boot into, as I wiped it clean before reflashing the recovery.

Why did you flash a newer version of TWRP, instead of a rom? Reflash the working twrp which was working before you wiped in order to reflash.
Sent from my Redmeme Note 3 with VoLTE disabled.

I don't remember which version it was. I think, it was something 2.x.x, and I can't find anything earlier than 3.0.2 anywhere. 3.0.2-0-kenzo also does not work for me.
bro,Install twrp by this method.

I just switched my phone on, and it booted into TWRP recovery that I installed eralier! But all the storage partitions were showing zero size, so I reformatted them and selected "reboot into recovery" option. But it did not boot into recovery, and now it is stuck on the "MI" logo and the "Volume Up + Power" key combo only makes it reboot, just like before. How do I boot into recovery?
I figured it out. The whole deal was about dead battery which caused the device to fail to boot even the recovery, even when charging. It charged up a bit, and I sucsessfully flashed the phone.
