Huawei Student Developer. Ready for contest? - Huawei Developers

Hi folks,
I have found a contest from Huawei called HSD Contest (developer.huawei.com/consumer/en/activity/digixActivity/digixdetail/201603786075567814). It is a call for contest participation for Android Students Developers, last year students and recently graduates in Spain. What do you think about it? Does anyone want to participate? It is possible to enroll in teams... Looking for somebody to enroll and win a P40 pro

I am currently looking for a freelance developer who, if can deliver, stands to gain a lucrative repeat-customer. Solar is booming, and I have been developing an App for one of the largest solar sales and installation companies in the state of New York. Our company has attempted to deploy technology to our outside sales lead generation team, but without much effect. The key missing ingredient in their puzzle is an easy-to-use, efficient, and stream-lined interface in which to seamlessly record data into our Salesforce database. I have conceptualized this project in great detail, and have even begun developing it myself using an Android Studio environment. I have successfully used the Salesforce Mobile SDK to log-in to our test.salesforce server, and have also successfully received data from our test server onto my tablet. I also have a working satellite-google maps, but am in dire need of an experienced developer to help bring this project to completion.
Ultimately, the plan is to provide an offline-capable version, utilizing the Salesforce SmartSync and SmartStore features provided by the SDK, but in order to prove the utility of this application to people at the company with the ‘ink-felt pen’, I plan on three phases of development. First, a internet-reliant version of the application, which can upload data into Salesforce in real-time, from the field. We will then deploy the app during phase two, in order to generate user-feedback and trouble-shooting support, while we gear up for phase three, the offline-capable version. The offline-version gives the ability for us to grow our lead generation team without having to provide everyone a monthly data-plan. It is the icing on the cake to the big-wigs of this project.
I am available 24/7 via Skype.

I clicked on it. It seems to be a legitimate survey but the URL is a .cn but the prices in the survey are in euros. Typically ZTE conducts surveys though Z Community. Overall its kinda strange but the survey does look legitimate (didn't ask for too much personal information). The strange wording is in line with a chinese company writing a survey for Europeans and Americans.
Before answering the survey I'd like to know where you found it from OP?
Survey is legit.

Hi, everybody:
This is a good chance to put up with suggestions, so join it now!
There is no need to worry about the safety, I have tried it already.
Thanks!
I completed it, hope they hear me
Submit successfully.
Submitted ?
Submitted as well.
Submitted. I think they are asking good questions.
Submitted the survey. I would do it again if I could.
Submitted, it's nice to see that they allow answering anonymously, without having to log into an account of some kind. But many of the questions are just generic, slightly reworded repeats of the others, with the answer selections being similar and boring. I think they didn't put much effort into writing the survey. Which is what they should be doing since they're about to be marketing a new Axon phone soon.

It's for Honor devices only. And it will take weeks before you get the code.
Thx for the fast reply
I have read conflicting articles in the news
Some say it will be Huawei and Honor devices and other's say honor only which would be a disappointment.....
I'm unable to post urls but theandroidsoul says:
"[PSA] You can unlock bootloader of your Huawei and Honor devices again for a limited time
Ever since Huawei started entertaining unlock requests for their devices, which includes both the Huawei and Honor brands of Android devices, users haven’t been very impressed.
While Huawei never suggested about reversing the decision to disallow unlock request, it seems they listened to the growing discontent of users — may be because of the availability of Android Pie GSI ROMs — and have taken a step back — for a little period of time.
Yes, they are allowing the users of Huawei and Honor phones to get their device unlocked, but it’s not that straightforward.
This is in Huawei’s collaboration with XDA, wherein you need to request the unlock of your Huawei/Honor device via an online form, where you must also give them your XDA user ID. Yes, no kidding. So if you are not registered on XDA — and maybe not an active member — you cannot request the bootloader unlock code even today.
Interested users who want to unlock the bootloader of tier Huawei/Honor device may click the link below to request the unlock code."
I hope Huawei will include mate users, if not I will have to return the mate 10 pro and order something else

Now ARM the chip designer have withdrawn from working with Huawei

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-48363772
The media love to fuel the fire. Calm down and wait this out, all will be back to normal soon enough.
Calm your tits guys. Your p30 pro wont be effected with any of these issues. Stay calm and zoom on.
Yea exactly, calm down everyone. I think everything will be back to normal soon, Huawei is too big to die IMO
And China waiting it out until they feel the need to reply back by crippling Apple and Snapdragon via TSMC.
seems like samsung will be good during all this?
This has nothing to do with the P30 Pro anyway... You already have the chip in your phone. They're not going to retrospectively come and hoof the chip out of your phone lol
Boah really, every news about Huawei is a value to write a new topic here?
Its a developer forum, not a news feed. To much people joining xda without knowledge what xda is.
If anybody wants to read news about huawei he can read his own newsfeed.
Its anoying to see every day a new thread which supplier has stopped working with huawei.

All information allows people to make fully informed decisions, including people who may be thinking of developing for a specific platform.
Arguing that some news shouldn't be reported because it doesn't suit your agenda has a name, it's called censorship.
This news is relevant and important as it shows what impact the tangerine buffoon can have on devices that people spend large amounts of money on.
He's come out and stated today that Huawei could be included in a Trade Deal, as if it wasn't obvious weeks ago that he was just trying to use them as leverage to put pressure on the Chinese.
Don't shoot the messenger for delivering the message, be grateful that someone can be bothered to make sure you know anything that may be relevant to your purchasing decisions, that can save YOUR money.

No I suspect what he means is the ban has nothing to do with the P30 which is what this section of XDA is for.

To answer your question, GMS stands for Google mobile services and HMS is Huawei mobile services. This is what connects your info, cloud storage ect. The best way to look at it is like swapping from an Android phone to an iPhone.
Not a sad jump from Android to Apple... It is not at all the same...
US government tries to save their weird and bullsh.t companies as they are now frighten about Chinese capacities.
For that they forced Google to stop providing GMS to Huawei new device.
This forcing and speeding Huawei to find alternatives which will lead to a sooner death to the US companies ?.
What a good bet ?.
The main thing is that you will not have Gplay, Gdrive, etc... But HMS is growing their catalog for their users.
Everything is not there yet but by searching a bit you will find all apps needed (even those which are using GMS certificate such as Netflix).
Apk Pure is storing lots of Apk apps with different version and some of them are working well and as it should on newer Huawei devices.
The game is lost by the US (just by comparing how many innovations and brevets submitted)
US is far below... And this game will toll the bells earlier and very pleased with it.

Hi, this question is not silly actually. I also have the same doubt. But I think question like this can be asked in the forum of Huawei official website. Believe you can have a quick and precise answer.

most of the work arounds ive been using is just using the built in apps (Huawei mail, huawei cloud etc) to get what i need from it. majority of everything else i use came from phone clone and petal search with no issues so cant complain, and thank you for the comparison. i get it now haha

i agree mate, think its just the news and everything and opinions of others puts doubts to people, especially current huawei users. But ones you get to use one you see the truth to it and the simplicity of having everything you already had before work perfect.
