i say there is still hope. seems the only thing you messed up is the boot animation. according to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520309
you have fastboot for your device, so in theory, you could use a fastboot flash recovery command to install CWM, and use it to install a ROM

Hi everyone! After happily rooting my Kindle and leaving it unattended for less then a few minutes, I came back to a boot-looped Kindle HD 6 because it had taken an OTA update.
I've looked at a few threads on this forum about how to get into Fastboot mode but I can't seem to get it working right. I have a Fastboot cable but that doesn't do anything either. Can someone help me?

This is from another thread about a boot loop thought it might help you.

I do not know if this would work or even the steps, but you can download the stock firmware from here: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_left_v4_sib?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201596860
Also the ????????????? Besides your device from "adb devices" just means you need to install the driver for it. That should not be too hard to find out how to do. But really I think you'd need the fastboot drivers more. But in the past I have fixed a bootloop by just looking at the logs to figure out where the crash is coming from via adb logcat, then fixing that issue. But since this is using xposed it'd probably be too complicated to fix manually. Don't ask me for drivers tho cause I use Linux.
Note: the firmware update downloads as a bin file but it is just a zip file. A fastboot update might actually work with it since it is signed by Amazon.
Something like:
Wipe your device. (only if necessary)
fastboot -w
Update your ROM.
fastboot update

I've gotten into fastboot on this device. I think it was either "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot fastboot" that works. Keep in mind when in fastboot mode the fire hd6 screen is completely blank.

Thanks for trying to help I tried just about everything, but nothing is working.
I decided to just get another used HD 6 and switch out the motherboards and see what happens. I'll come back to the rooting game as soon as there is a working custom recovery and rom up, haha. Thanks.

Yours was actually the first I looked at! I tried but I unfortunately couldn't get ADB to recognize the device properly. I've already switched out the motherboards so my problem is somewhat fixed for now.
Think that you need a fastboot cord to get into fastboot. Just what I've heard.

You need to power of and then press and hold volume up while plugging in the tablet i think.
Have you searched how to get into fastboot with fastboot cable on google?

I have haha, I honestly tried everything but I just couldn't get it into fastboot. When I'm feeling adventurous, I'll probably try it again, but I just ended up switching out the motherboards with another HD6 for convenience.
I learned there are some people get Nexus 9 entered APX/nvflash mode by accident. Do anyone know what are the exact steps to enter such mode? I need it to fix my Nexus 9, it cannot even boot into the bootloader. Any help will be highly appreciated!

Just wondering why you'd want to get in to apx mode? I have a nexus 9 in apx mode which I can't recover from, is there a way to flash anything in apx mode?

For tablets on the tegra (Shield MiPad, etc.) there is a utility nvflash. This utility is just designed to work with a chip in apx mode.
How did your tablet get into the apx mode?

I've read about nvflash but haven't had time to learn how to use it. Seems more complex than just adb and fastboot, above my skillset. I bought the tablet as parts/not working on eBay because I needed a replacement screen and I wanted to see what the issue with it was, see if I could fix it and sell it on. When I attached it to my laptop it read as APX Device..... so no idea how it came to be in this state. Is there a way to recover from it?
So, i installed Xposed, and like many people, i got stuck in the logo... No big deal there... Went to look for some help, and it said to go to fastboot, so I went, but it got stuck in the fastboot logo. Then I connected it to the computer and when I try to list the ADB devices I Ialways get an error saying the server is outdated...
I really need some help! I can't find anything online to help me!
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I submitted a bootloader unlock request to Xiaomi earlier today, but I can't see if its approved or not because phone doesn't work
well,
if you are in fastboot mode then the command is "Fastboot Devices", Not "adb Devices"

I tried, but i cant seem to go to edl mode through fastboot, any tips? and because of bootloader lock i cant flash fastboot rom with MI Flash
Edl mode needs a specific fastboot version.
For the Redmi Note 3 Pro / Special Edition
Download and extract this package on your PC.
Enter fastboot mode by holding Power and Vol- at the same time. Wait until the Mi Bunny appears, then connect the phone to the PC.
Run reboot.bat in the extracted package. A command prompt will appear. Press a key to reboot the phone to EDL mode.
Upon entering EDL mode, the screen should turn blank. The notification LED might be blinking red. Done.
To get out of EDL mode, hold the Power button for about 10 seconds.

Above quote taken from xiaomi reddit wiki.
If the above doesn't work, see the link for deep flash cable, shouldn't be need for kenzo/kate.
How you flashed/installed xposed on locked bootloader is another question?
You may need to update your adb/fastboot version + device drivers(adb)

EDL Mode: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDGViyDYPbU
If you can't get into EDL mode, you may need to use the deep flash cable method.

Installing Mi Flash should have put the correct drivers on your PC.
But can be got from here: - https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/download-pc-drivers-xiaomi-redmi-note-3/
And I already linked adb/fastboot tools.
IF your comfortable opening your device, there is also a test point method you could try.
http://en.miui.com/thread-244814-1-1.html
Could not find a English video, so maybe try googling more and you might find one.
If not, you could ask at local repair shop, if they would fix it for you. Using Cable/ TP method.
Note for other readers:- MIUI roms need a special version of xposed, for it to work. And installing from an app would more than likely would have use the wrong version. Should never be done on a locked bootloader, only asking for trouble. (Rovo89 is currently trying to bring MIUI support to the official version for nougat roms)
Hoping for help here. In trying to root this phone, having successfully unlocked bootloader, I am trying to flash back to stock firmware (as rooting went less than well!)
Couldn;t get the MSM download tool to work, so thought I would try the fastboot zip file extraction method!
The only Oxygen OS I can find that has the flash all .bat file is
10.5.5-GLOBAL-NordOxygen_14_OTA_007_all_2008180221_c45e1d5febd1f-FASTBOOT
Which results in looking like its working within cmd with all fastboot instruction seemingly writing to phone. But upon reboot, it just goes back to the qualcomm crashdump screen....!!
Grateful for any help inc getting the MSM download tool working.
Many thanks all

It this from Oneplus Nord ? That cannot work on N10 of course.
Qualcomm EDL mode should always work and is your best way to recover the phone.

yes it is a black screen! You know that is in EDL mode when you look into the "Device Manager" in Windows. Further explanation on how to use the tool is in the respective thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4204445/.

Nowhere does it say EDL mode is simply a blank (as if phone off!) screen btw.....
I always press start on msm tool first then either adb reboot edl or make sure phone is off then hold volume buttons
