Device : Poco F1 (6/128)
Current OS - Havoc OS 4.4 with NG kernel 2.2 (9.1.24)
Error occured when on- Corvus 4.5 with Lawrun Kernel
Purchased Sept.-18-2018
Hello, I have a Poco f1 as my primary device that I've been using for 3 years now. I used that device for excessive gaming (with charger plugged) & phone sometimes heated up quite a lot, however those days phone ran like a beast & never gave up...
But a few days ago I noticed a problem when I was playing with my device plugged in charge- It suddenly Switched off. (luckily i had twrp) I tried factory resetting the device but it didn't help. I came to the boot logo but the phone then restarted, i.e. it was in a bootloop. I tried formatting the device again but it didn't work... so I tried plugging in the charger & the device booted up this time.
Also to mention that I tried different custom roms (OxygenOs11, Havoc 3.6, Havoc 3.4) to make it go all-well again but no use.
[UNRELATED] [what I thought before changing battery]
I know many people are coming up with an answer like "get the battery changed..." but I have another reason why that may not work-
as I already mentioned that I have TWRP installed in my phone, I booted into TWRP with charger unplugged for approximately 5-7 minutes (full brightness no timeout) & battery dropped from 100 to 97 % but it didn't switch off or bootloop.
All this time my battery % was mostly above 90% except for the first Switch-off
One more thing- Recently plugging phone into normal charging (wall charger) wouldn't boot it (bootloop) but plugging it via USB cable to my pc boots it up successfully & if USB doesn't switch it on I plug it into wall charger & it switches on after 1-2 restarts...
Thus, after 5 days I am posting this thread from my pc to find if someone can reply & help me to get my phone in good condition as I do not have enough cash to get a full motherboard replaced or so... I Just want to know if anyone has faced this problem except me, & what did they do to fix it, thanks.

Is your issue resolved? I have the same problem with my Poco f1 too however, the error occured on Pixel experience ROM. I flashed stock and many other ROMs unfortunately it seems that it stuck on never ending bootloop. If you have fixed your device could you please share the method you used. Thank you and Keep safe

if you're facing same issues like mine, (fixed), & your device is 2.5 - 3 years old, it must be a battery problem. I changed my battery & it was fixed.

After flashing a ROM you need to format data. Check the clean installation guide in my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides.

Hi Guys, got a Problem.
I've got my S2 now for about 4 Months. Normally the battery holds about one day possibly 2 days with about 4-8 hours of phoning. Now the last week when i began to flash infusion rom with different modems, my phone first day holds the battery about 10 hours, next day 8 hours. I flashed the Criskello Rom tested again, again 8 hours. Then this weekend it holds the battery about 4 hours and while calling, the phone doesn't respond to anything, or sometimes the display keeps on, only holding the power button let's it restart. While charging i'm not able to start the phone, the charging symbol displays but when pushing the power button it restarts only to the battery charging symbol. first after unplugging the charger i'm able to boot. Android OS is 52 Minutes in 3 hours now. But i'm not able to locate where's the problem. every time i flash a new rom i format everything, data, cache, dalvik , system etc..... sometimes when i'll have to restart the phone very often and put the charger into it, it displays my battery with a temperature warning 80-100° C
Today i ordered a new battery while hoping the battery is dead, but really no other idea.....
and another effect i was wondering is suddenly the display lights up, goes off and then keeps lightening.....
and what i was wondering is that since this moment the phone doesn't connect to usb. when i put in the usb plug it starts loading but when i remove the plug it keeps loading with having power.....
No one an answer???
Personally I'd revert to full stock, wiping all and see if it's still acting questionably.. If so, choose your kernel/rom combinations more carefully..
Also I had some battery warning issues when my usb pin got slightly bent, weirdly. Check that out.
today i wiped nearly everything including emmc sdcard and flashed oxygen and the handy works. but android os is at 5 hours of 2 hours runtime.... so it uses the complete cpu time of both cpus fulltime. now i bought a new akku now the handy works better but android os is at the same....
Sorry i fail to understand the problem as posted .
When you flash multiple roms etc you need to recalibrate the battery .
But this looks like a service centre job .
jje
i'm facing issue with phone charging ( MI 8 LITE )
when i charging phone and it reach to 85% ,then stop charging, i tried to plug out the charger and cable and reconnect them again to phone but nothing happens ... and to solve the issue i restart the phone, then it complete charging .
this issue happens randomly , maybe happen once every two months. and at different percentage.
i use the charger and cable that came in box so it's original.
any one having this issue . and the problem in charger or in phone ... the problem its happen random and every two months and if i go to warranty maybe it's don't happen to them and then the phone is working well without any issue.
Do you use any custom rom or some custom kernel?

no i using stable miui rom v10.3.2 and i never unlocked my bootloader

I was using pixel experience (android 9) and everything was fine. Yesterday i flashed latest pixel experience plus edition rom and after flashing , my phone was not charging will it was booted. it showed charging sign but battery percentage was not increasing. I then turned my phone off and connected the charger. It worked and was charging again. But after booted up, it won't charge again. I thought it was a bug of the plus edition so i downloaded and flashed the regular pixel experience (latest one) today. But it is still not charging my phone. Is there something i am missing on?

I am experiencing the same issue as well. In my case, whenever i plug it to my computer or any slow-charging charger, it just wont charge even though it says it is charging. For fast-charging though, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it definitely charges when it is turned off. Maybe it is one of the yet-to-be-discovered glitches of this very nice rom. We have to let the developers of that rom know about this.
I already had pixel experience plus and yesterday I flashed the latest update manually. My phone also didn't charge, I had to flash magisk, seshstation(custom kernel) and bens thermal again and everything was fixed. The phone charged when turned off
Turn the fone off and charge it.

I realise this thread is quite old but there was no solution. I wanted to upgrade my old Mi Note 2 while I'm waiting for my S21 Cover. I also flashed Pixel Experience Plus and had the same problem the phone would only charge when turned off. Nothing seemed to fix it.
Eventually I flashed it Via ADB Sideload in twrp (same zip) and it fixed it.
On the lock screen it also shows how long till fully charged.
Awesome rom I like it.
Just thought id share
Greetings,
I have been using my poco f1 for 4 years now and it has stood by me strongly. I only replaced the battery once due to excessive usage from covid (hotspot on almost 12+ hrs of the day).
It had pixel plus 11 rom in it and I was very happy with it too. Over the past 1 week, i noticed it was behaving strangely.
1. The charge time took almost 3hrs even though it showed charing rapidly
2. When I switch off the phone and keep it for the charge, it charges comparatively faster.
3. At certain times, it would freeze and restart.
4. Would heat up during charging, so I would keep it near a window or anywhere there is a breeze so that it doesn't overheat.
As of yesterday, the phone went into a complete loop after charging (It was off while being charged, once it reached 95% I unplugged and switched it on) with poco symbol followed by the 'G' icon appearing.
I thought i'd wait it out, but no luck. The weirdest thing was, when i reconnected my charger (Charge ON), it would switch on. And when i'd unplug it, the phone would switch off and go back into the loop.
The phone was near full charged, but i figured this is probably a rom issue and needs a good flash. So, I plugged the phone in for charging again so that I could switch it on and then took the necessary backups.
In parallel, I downloaded the latest rom (Pixel 12 stable build) thinking that if i flashed it would solve everything.
I connected the phone via USB to the laptop to copy the rom file, but it didn't swith on. It would only do so by charger. (Weird!). I tried it a couple of times, and managed to switch the phone via USB cable connected from laptop. But it didnt last for long as the phone would switch off shortly. Fortunately, it was on for just enough time and i mean, a couple of times till I could copy the file into storage for flashing.
I reconnected it back to the wall charger, switched on and took backups. At this point the phone has reached 100% for about 2hrs or so, but there's nothing i can do in order to get it to be on.
I proceeded to flash pixel rom 12 via twrp after clearing the cache, davlik and all of that. It was successful (no error messages appeared) and when i rebooted it I could see that the rom went through fine as the charging '100%' icon has changed (Its more graphic) but the phone still wont switch on and continues to be on this loop.
Can anyone please advise me on how I can tackle this? I dont want to buy a new phone as I feel there is nothing out there that would match this phone for its value. (I can use pixel rom, good battery, durability)
Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated.
I'd be more than happy to make a contribution to anyone who can provide me with a solution that works. I'd rather be happy with my old phone and you can treat yourself to a nice meal rather than having to buy a brand new phone. (So far, im looking at mi 11x, s20 fe, mi 11 lite, oneplus 9R, but to be honest they just don't appeal to me. You know what they say, once you go poco, you go loco!!!!)
Thankyou
Be safe

Thankyou
Be safe

Firstly make sure you followed this installation guide.
Then if you are sure that flashing is correct, I think it's your battery issue. You should replace it.

Hi there!
Thanks for replying!
I tried the same out all day yesterday and had no luck.
I have given it to a mobile repair shop nearby (we have a separate market for mobiles here).
Hopefully they can sort it out or else I'll go for a used S20 FE 5G, saw a couple of them ranging from $300 - $400

You could just buy and replace the battery by urself with 5min YouTube video
In repair shop they may ask extra money or try to show u that needs more than battery.
I am sure it's battery tho.

Hi there!
Thanks for replying. So, my phone did get fixed, apparently, the issue was due to the charger port and battery connection. Somewhere there was a short circuit causing that issue.
They mentioned this happens due to overcharging or using the phone when on charge or running heavy applications.
Yes, a battery replacement would add a few more hours of battery life I'm sure as I currently average 6 hours on heavy usage.
I plan to use this phone till it no longer runs as the alternatives out there arent really all that great with respect to value for money and reliability. I hope to get my hands on the mi 12x, it looks really appealing!

I am glad you found the problem and you got it fixed
For sure hardware of POCO F1 is still good and worth the money. Enjoy the paradise of custom ROMs
Hi Community,
Everything was working fine and couple of days back, my poco F1 on PE 11 started acting wierd. I had to boot it while plugged in or it got stuck in bootloop. But once I boot it, it will work without any problem (unplugged). But since this morning, it won't start or work without plugging it in. And when I stop charging it will work for a while(mostly well until i press power button to lock or unlock) but suddenly goes off and goes in bootloop.
charge percentage also acts weird. While switching on without plugging in, it sometimes shows 0% charge but when I plug it in and use for 10 minutes, battery goes Normally from 1 to 20% and then suddenly it shows 100%.
I opened twrp recovery (which works without plugging in) and kept the phone in recovery for 2 hours, i know it doesn't drain much battery but it just went from 100% to 97 %
Did anyone face similar problem? I am not technically sound in these things. I need help from you guys to get this monster working. Thanks in advance
The reason why I kept it in twrp recovery for couple of hours(unplugged) was to check if it goes off in recovery mode but it didn't.
Here's one similar thread i found but not sure mine is a battery issue since it suddenly started misbehaving.
