I've been using the LG G Watch for a while now and I'm really loving it. However, I noticed that the music controls don't seem to work properly.
When I play a track on my Nexus 5 via Google Play, the artwork and title appear on the watch face, but pausing / playing don't work and I can't skip or go back a track, either.
As far as I can see I'm using the latest version of the Google Play Music APK and the watch is running the latest firmware. I've also tried resetting the watch and re-syncing the apps on it.
Another thing to note is that I'm running the Android L Developer Preview - not sure if that makes any difference.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Glad I'm not the only one getting this. Google Music updated today, but the issue is still there.
Same issue here on Google Music, Pocket Casts, and Player.FM - kinda annoying!
Same here, went back to 4.4.4 as many apps were having this problem (Google Music, Google Movies, Youtube)
Same issue for the Samsung Gear Live with Nexus 5 L preview.
Same issue here, works on HTC one m8, but not on nexus 5 and 7 running L. I assume its a problem with the way L handles music controls in notifications.
Happens to me with Spotify, the notification shows up but the play/pause control doesn't work. Using a Gear Live with a Nexus 4 running CM 10.2.1 (Android 4.3). However, Spotify works perfectly for a friend using a GS4 running KitKat connected to a LG G watch.
Got mine today, running Android L preview also and having the same issue. Anyone know of a fix/update on its way perhaps?
I do know that persistent/non-cancelable notifications are not mirrored to Wear for ANY app. That's usually the type of notification used to show playback controls, but it doesn't explain why the apps that have been updated don't seem to work correctly.
I also had this problem with L installed. I've since reflashed the stock 4.4.4 image, and they work fine.
Can anyone confirm whether this issue has been fixed in L yet?
It's one of the only things keeping me from using L on my everyday phone.

It will be fixed in the full release. But the dev preview won't be updated.
I thought I was the only one. So we have to wait for the Android L official release, hopefully it won't be to long
Same for me
I have the exact same issue with my Nexus 5 and Android L preview build LPV81C. Hoping it get fixed before full release. Fingers crossed ...
I have the same problem with my G Watch and Nexus 4 (running stock 4.4.4).
Anyone found a solution?
Edit:
Not a problem anymore, it was caused by an app for controlling my headset... -_-
I have the same problem with stock Nexus5 and Samsung Gear Live
I have the notification on gear of some song and when i try to "open on phone" none happens. If i try to play nothing happens again
BUT, if i open an music app (like Google music) and tap play on wear, then spotify (and this is strange) starts to play (a song different from that reported by wear notification).
This don't happens until i don't start an music app (seem that when i start a music app something will be initialized).
I also think that the notification on wear is something of old that has been stored by wear but not updated (probably after a spotify update).
Hey guys, try Wear Music Controller in the Play Store. It should control all your music players for you!
I have the same issue with you.
same here
Recently got my moto 360, doesnt work as well. Safe to say its the L preview bug.. But so disappointing

my device - galaxy s8
today the YouTube app on my device suddenly stop working like it was before,
the new "control panel" when the video is minimized (thats allow to stop/back, closing the video) is gone (back to the old way, showing the video on a little square) also the new app optimization to vertical video support is gone.
I'm on the last version of the app. i try clear cache/data of the app, uninstall app update....
On my old iPhone 5S the app work like it should, anyone know if there is a way to fix it?

Remove secure startup..!!
Or Factory reset..!!
Factory reset or downgrade.
MIUI 9.5.4.0 is removed from the MIUI Download page.
Worst update.
It's Unfortunate that Phone is Plagued with CPU Clock speed bug. Stuck at 1689mhz.
I Know This Is A Stupid Question That I Am Going To Ask.
In My Huawei Mate 10 Lite When I am Playing Video In Background Mode, It Stops After Few Seconds When I Switched Off The Screen.
Furthermore I Have Tried Different Apps For Video Playback In Background, But Issue Is Still Exits.
Currently I Am Using “Mx Player Pro (Activated) Version 1.9.19 (Armv7 Neon)”
Android Version 8.0 Oreo
Is There Any Solution ?
Thanks.

Same situation. Try third party?
I tried third party App. No joy. All have the same problem. Unable to record internal or system sounds. Wondering if China ROM will work?
If what the internet is right and Google denies recording of internal system sounds. Note 10 is indeed missing Internal Audio Plugin. We will have to reflash with another ROM. Or... cos note 10 is new... Maybe an earlier ROM from Note 7. But again doing research on the internet. It's does says Android 11 beta have returned native screen recorder the ability to record again. So... I am perplexed. Comments and suggestions please ?
Currently, I am using my old Redmi Note 7 with MIUI 12.0.3 (QFGCNXM) Stable, Android 10 to do all my video audio recorder on Line and Zoom Apps.

Android 11 has a lot of restrictions and limitations. Using Android 10 would be a smarter move untill its figured out.

Yes. I think that is a spendid idea. Thank you Orian.
Try to change the settings in Screen Recorder apps. If the sound problem is still, try to use headset/ headphone (plug 3,5mm audio jack) when you use the apps.
Rather than creating new thread, I would ask again here the similar question, although my question is a bit more specific, it's about video-call.
Hopefully someone with valid solution can help explain how.
If my question doesn't get answer here, perhaps I will create a new thread for my question, because my question is more specific and may be different than this thread's original topic.
-------
So;
My question is;
How can we,
–using this Redmi Note 10 & stock MIUI (for me it's version 12.5.4 and Magisk rooted now.. and also I installed ViperAudio, if that maybe influencing the result)–
ScreenRecording a video call
–and record both, the video and also the audio of the video-call session/conversation,
using any video-call app like WhatsApp, Duo, Viber, or etc?
Because everytime I try, it only can record the video, but cannot record the audio, especially the voice of person who talks to me.
Hoping for explanation.
Thank you in advance.
