Hi all,
I tried several times to repair my phone with Sony Companion after flashing a different region. Unfortunately, it doesn't work, as it stops with the message to prepare the phone and need more than 50% energy. If I try to repari it with the flash mode, I get following error:
UEUpdateFailed UE_200

As it seems that I am not the only one with this error, I started this topic.
Does anyone have a solution for it?
At risk of breaking things further, have you tried Newflasher?
Newflasher works, I did also an update with it.
But making a clean install with Sony Companion doesn't work.
months ago i've tried the Software Repair with Xperia Companion (on 5 II), but it doesn't work. The phone shut down during the process, and of course everything fails. The same with 10 III.
I think SONY seriously needs to upgrade Xperia Companion or, why not, give the community another software for updates/repair on Windows.

No offence meant, but I cannot for the life of me make out what you are trying to say here. Can you possibly try and rephrase it, perhaps taking a little more time on what you want to say?
he is saying that when the phone is turned on, there is picture of the xperia phone with the exclamation mark.
i think you would need to repair the phone with pc companion.

dont think pc companion willl work in this case. tht is b'cos the card has to be mounted fr pc companion to recognize the fone which is not possible in this case.
download the update service from the sony site. follow the instructions. this might help u recover ur fone..
best luck
i try to make update it by Update Service
but show me your phone already lasts firmware
plz any body have idea about
this problem
Even if update service states you already have the latest firmware just click the option to re-install.
To the best of my knowledge, this error (i.e. exclamation mark when boot up) occurs only when you try to debrand your X10 with a different firmware that does not match your baseband version.
I've had the same problem when I tried to debrand my X10 from X1a (R1A) to X1a (R1B). Although there shouldn't be any problem, seemingly either the firmware was corrupted or it was giving false info to either PC Companion or SEUS, so neither of those programs are able to detect the right firmware for your phone, and that's why it shows up with no option to repair your phone.
After spending much time searching and reading all the possible forums, I was unfortunate to figure out a way to force SEUS or PC Companion to rebrand or flash my backup firmware (as I already saved the original ones). The only way I found to fix that problem was a paid app which would act as SEUS by forces to flash the chosen firmware.
just google "davinciteam" and pick the first link and follow their instructions.
I'd rather to fix it myself since I had my original files, but I couldn't find a way "yet" and I needed my phone ASAP.
Disable development mode in x10

I got the dreaded exclaimation mark of death after trying to do what dad6534 did. Will be interested to know the fix.
@TechGuru_x10 - how do you disable the development mode. Does this fix the exclaimation mark problem?
@dad6534 - did you have to flash back to the original firmware thru Davinciteam? Did you manage to unbrand your phone in the end?
Delete the 13740270 folder in
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270
and try to update your phone again, only this time use the one with the restore factory settings (Or something like that)
I remembered trying out every possible way to get my phone unbricked(the exclaimation mark sign) and after wasting all my time, the last resort was to go to their service center and ask them to fix it - It's free and why go Davinci team unless you have some spare cash.
I've tried changing the files in the blob_fs to the orignal ones but to no avail. No re-install button, no repair button in both PC companion and SE update service (SEUS). SEUS just told me that my phone has the Latest firmware and the only option was to Exit. PC Companion allows me to repair, but as it is at the 3rd stage where you have held on to the back button and plugged the USB cable in, it just shows me an error in downloading files.

Darn, why didn't anybody teach me that. I even uninstalled the whole PC companion and SEUS. Anyway, it's good that you found the solution

@J3YPS - i've deleted the folder as per your method, ran SEUpdate and i get the same message - "No new software is available for your phone" with no option to repair or restore or reinstall. I'm interested to hear if this worked for anyone else.
@Aztriltus - I have tried using the davinci client to reflash the firmware but it hasnt work. It is looking increasingly likely that I will need to see the service center. BTW what did you tell them when they asked you how you bricked the phone?
Try this method:

Be careful, don't try to flash your device if you don't really know what you're doing.
This Program can only flash signed Images. NOT custom ones.
I'm NOT responlible for any damage to your device!!

You're an awesome help - it was a great suggestion cause it worked! Tried for 3 days to fix this (including paying dollars to davinci) and jerpelea's flash tool did the trick! One note tho - it only works on 32bit win systems.

Hello,
I do not wish to annoy anyone. I seek some help. Before posting and mostly before doing anything with my phone I read all information I could find.
Unlocking bootloader (hardware and official way), rooting, the autoinstaller for CWM. The flashtool, the wotan server, SEUS.
Yesterday I've upgraded my firmware via PC Companion to .62. However this unrooted my phone and I wanted to go back to the old firmware so
I flashed it with WotanServer
After this my phone didnt start and after the SE logo a sign with excalmation mark and phone appeared.
Please, help me. Tell me what should be my next step. Can i fix it myself? Should i pay to someone in the local shop with neon advertisment to fix it?
Please.
Anton.
Download SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Software), and repair your phone with it.
I got same problem with WotanServer, SEUS solved it.
@tomassz82,
can you point me to a working link. All links that I have for SEUS redirect me to a sony support page?
I also forgot to mention that I have done a backup via CWM but I don't know how to restore it as I can't go into CWM anymore.
Ok. Fixed. Thank you tomassz82 for the hope
For future reference: SEUS is an outdated piece of software.
Sony Ericcson PC Companion is its successor.
Intially PC companion fails to recognize the device because it's not turned on completely (by completely i mean booted to the Android).
I restarted my computer. When I connect the phone and start PC Companion somehow, seemingly at random it still doesn't allow to update but it will recognize it once or twice and offer repair. Do it!
Wipe personal settings bla bla..
I could not manage to repair the phone with PCC, but SEUS worked like a charm.
@tomassz82
Which verions of SEUS are you running and where did you downloaded from?
For those who pc companion/repair does not work, and I was one ever since I unlocked my bootloader, it maybe the pc that you're using that is the problem.
I installed pc companion on another pc, and in the process of checking that it was ok, one thing led to another, I clicked on repair knowing it won't work on my phone....well it did!
Surprise and joy turned to surprise and 'what have I done???' as I watched everything get wiped, when it didn't need to be.
But it's all up and running again with a super clean install
To be honest, I've read about doing this here, but I couldn't see why it would work, but it did.
It's certainly worth trying if your phone is bricked, good luck
Sorry to hijack but this thread seems to be the most recent on PC Companion issues.
I have a Xperia S, flashed with flashtool to the latest generic firmware. I want to do a repair with PC Companion to ensure updates will work once ICS is released. PC Companion recognizes the device and presents the option to repair. I choose this option, everything works fine until it begins to flash. Then PC Companion states "There is no firmware available for you rphone. Please try again later"
Here is a piece of the log where fail occurs.
09:34:41,86 [PhoneUpdate 12/03/20] CWizFlash failure detected
09:34:50,59 [PhoneUpdate 12/03/20] CWizFlash no firmware available reported.
09:34:50,63 [PhoneUpdate 12/03/20] Add statistic: Function: Phone Repair, Completion status: Fail, Error: No firmware available
Any suggestions??
Did you do what the OP said worked for him? I have read in other threads that using a different pc allows repair. Just uninstalling pc comp does not work. Try new pc.

Hi, I can't help you much without leading you astray, but maybe you have the wrong firmware, I've had that problem before. But more importantly, if you have a Xperia S then maybe you could check the Xperia S section.

Got it sorted.
By the way I have multiple posts in the Xperia S section but did not have many users experiencing my issue since the device is fairly new. Had an X10 prior to the Arc and Arc S so I figured I'd visit my old stomping grounds.
What are the steps you followed ?
Launch PCC, repairmode, then connect in flashmode (As in my guide "How to use PCC") ?
Hi all,
Today Sony Bridge for Mac noticed me about the availability of the update to .75 firmware. Good, I think.
The update procedure starts as usual.... but, when it was downloading the firmware, a popup saying "A problem in the update engine occurred. Please contact assistance." appeared . Actually I'm Italian and I don't know if the message sounds exactly like this in English, but, well, it makes sense.
From that moment on, my Xperia S is boot looping.... It displays the yellow icon with a phone and nothing else.
I'm very angry, the phone is not rooted and I'm also waiting for the replacement of it with a non-yellowish-display one.
Do you guys have some suggestion on how can I unblock the phone?
Thanks in advance!
Flashtool.

At Sony PC Companion, go to support center, click start at phone software update, then click repair my phone ... It is impossible to brick a Sony or Sony Ericsson phone , just use the PC Companion, it will repair for you ...
But for MAC, i think you may face a bit problem ... and I suggest to use Windows to do the update ...
HI,
I have Sony Ericsson xperia Neo (MT11i 11W41). Couple of days before I received online update. I accepted, and downloading and installation started.
After that my mobile gone sleep mode. NO LCD Display not charging indication. Green led flashes on mobile charging, and orange 3 flashes on Power up.
I spent lot of time on net but could not find solution to power up my mobile. I did many firmware through flash tool, Zero point and S1 Tool But no solution.
Even I tried Emma, it displayed all information and shows “Phone is locked”.
Any help to solve this issue?

Emma is referring to "Unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com". i follow there instruction but stuck on fastboot, because fastboot is not detecting any fast boot device.
I did unofficial way (short test points) but nothing happened.

Yesterday i updated my mobile through Sony PC Companion 2.1. Update finished with success (4.1.B.0.587), but mobile did not switched ON. Then I used S1tool to verify the OS, It was very surprising because OS did not change, I have still 4.0.2.A.0.42.
Is it the problem of boot-loader?
Any one can help?????????
