Hi everyone, a few days ago I bought a used Mate 10 ALP-L29 device is on stock rom non rooted the problem that I have with this phone is that I cant set up none of the screen lock methods cameras are ok fingerprint sensor is ok since i've already check sensors with an app and seems to be working normally also fingerprint works normal for gesture system navigation, i've already factory reset the phone and rolled back android via Hisuite app, any suggestions on what could be the problem and how can be solve?

I'm having issue with my z5 compact fingerprint sensor. If I lock the phone and turn screen on within 2-3 minutes, fingerprint sensor works perfectly & unlocks on first try. But after some time like 10 minutes of screen off time, fingerprint sensor don't recognize me 90% times. I have added 3 finger print for same finger from different angels, still no improvements. Did factory reset, cleared "Fingerprint manager" app data but no luck. The problem is present in Safe Mode too.
I got the phone with Marshmallow, I can go back to lollipop if it solves the issue. What can I do? Please help. A help would be thankful.

You can't roll back your android version with locked bootkoader. If you want to roll it back then unlock the bootloader and flash the stock firmware using Flashtool.
Hello everyone yesterday i installed lineage OS version 20/09/17 in my note 3 and the function of turning screen to left or right watching youtube gallery etc. Doesnt work. I have auto turning enabled and nothing , i have restarted my mobile and still the same and another bug is when restarting my fingerprint goes away , the device is deleting my fingerprint when rebooting.
Kenzo is knows to have sensors issues. The gyroscope, accelerator, and such sensors seems to have a problem after dirty flash of any rom(Including MIUI ones). So try to look for the solutions about those sensors here, there are plenty of it

I've read this thread and disabled battery optimisation for "com.samsung.android.biometrics.app.setting"* on my Note 10+ and Tab S6 (Wifi).
On both devices the fingerprint scanner is faster :good:
... and it seems to fix recurrent unlock problems with my Tab S6 too
* on some devices it's named "com.samsung.android.biometric"
Important:
it's not known yet if this might have any negative side effects (as battery drain or burning out the fingerprint sensor).
I also did it. But it doesn't make the fingerprint scanner faultless...
Hi, am I the only one having a problem with the fingerprint reader after upgrading to Android 10? ?
I have probably tried everything. Factory reset and clear cache partiotion do not help. The problem returns randomly. The reader stops working, and when I try to get to the settings I have the message: "Finger print sensor calibration needed " or "finger print sensor doesn't respond, try to reboot your device . If the problem persists, contact support "
I checked everywhere and there is no such thing as calibrating the fingerprint reader. Technical support also couldn't help me with the problem, they only recommended to send the tablet for service. ?
The problem has never appeared before the update so I bet that the problem is new software.
Any advice what else I could try?
The reader, when it starts to work, works much better than before the update, unfortunately more and more often it does not work at all.
The strangest thing is that sometimes it starts working after a regular restart. I have no idea what to think about it.
Something similar... It sometimes works like a charm. It sometimes stops working, but no message and no way to use it in order to activate the tab. In that case I have to use an alternative method to. I suppose a fix could be released after this update to Android 10...

I've solved this issue. I have tab s6 4-5 month and I couldn't even register the fingerprint. today I tried again and I found out that you have to touch the scanner very gently, do not press firmly. so I could register 3 fingerprints and it is working. even with unlocking if you press harder it won't work you have to touch slightly and it is working. still it is not reliable as other scanners but it works. i'm providing the video, you can see when I touch gently it is working, but If I press harder it won't register.

A few days back my device just stopped functioning correctly. At first I thought a restart would fix it, I wished i didnt restart as now i cant even use face unlock to unlock the phone. The screen works, but does not register any touch. The resolution seems wrong also. I can't factory reset as it requires me to type yes but i cannot use the screen. Any advice?

Since Android 11 update came out everything was fine. Today I've noticed strange problem with unlocking phone... When i lock phone and leave it for a while fingerprint not responding. I need to press unlock button (sometimes twice) to use it.
Build-in test are fine, glass above screen is clean and i did restart.
I've had the same problem, but it actually started happening to me with Android 10 within the week before AT&T released their Android 11 update. I have found no solution to the problem yet, and basically got used to a slow double-press of the power button to pop out of sleep (or AOD) and into my lock screen for unlocking.
I was actually wondering if it had something to do with my preferred dynamic live wallpaper.

Or perhaps Nova Launcher. I think both got updates around the same time this started happening to me, just before Android 11 landed.
I haven't really tried troubleshooting by removing on or both of these apps, however.
