Hello,
Currently if I listen music in the car, map notification interrupts the music and inserts it's own audio stream and then the music resumes.
On Samsung's phone the music fades a little and map instructions would overlay over faded music without interruptions.
Is it possible to have same thing on stock Xperia Android 12? I couldn't find anything related to it in the settings.
Thank you in advance.

Hi
Anyone know the specifics of the Hero's AVRCP support?
I've got a set of Sony stereo bluetooth headphones with play/pause/skip controls on them. They work fine on the HTC audio player, even when the phone is locked I can control the music.
However i've just signed up to Spotify and installed the app.... the controls don't work at all, however music is played through the headphones. If the HTC music application is running in the background but paused, pressing 'pause' actually starts the HTC music playing instead of pausing Spotify! This is the same as other audio apps like Google Listen, audio comes over Bluetooth but commands are not listened to.
It seems HTC Music is hard-coded to intercept all AVRCP commands, and not pass them on to a more suitable program if one is running. Can this be changed at all?
I'n on stock. Android 2.3.4 - Atrix (european model).
I've met the following (very strange) problem when using Endomondo.
[Endomondo is a sport tracker and has a coach assistant that tells you the time and distance. Furthermore, before starting the workout you can start the phone music player by pushing a button in Endo's main screen.]
The problem is this:
1) If I use the default music player (which is internally called Connected Music Player - CMP.apk), when the time comes for the annunciation (lap time) both music and the audio coach are muted.
I can see that, during the coach notification, the phone volume is automatically changed to zero. After the (inaudible) annunciation the volume comes back to normal.
But using alternative music players things change.
2) Poweramp (trial): I can hear the coach notification. The music is completely muted during the announcement. Music's volume resumes after that. The problem is that Poweramp is not recognized as an alternative music player and I can't set it as the music player started by the Endomondo app music button.
3) musiXmatch (free): It works as I think Endomondo devs intended a music player to work. The music is not completely muted during the announcement but its volume is reduced so that it stays in the background during the coach notification, that is so clearly audible. The music volume comes back to normal after the notification.
After installing it, launching Endomondo and pressing its music button I had a dialogue box asking which music player to use (the default one or the newly installed musiXmatch). I chose the latter one and checked the "always do that" option. So everything is fine with this music player.
It seems that the problem is on the way Endomondo access the phone volume and how it affects both the music player (in the cases 1 and 2) and the coach's voice.
My question: does anybody know if there is there some (hidden) android setting that can fix this issue?
I'll up! your post as I use the same pair of apps, i.e. endomondo (pro) + power amp (full) both latest versions, but came across one more issue in addition to yours, maybe someone could help
I'm on leedroid GB running on htc evo3d gsm and found out that audio trainer behaves in a strange way: the initial sequence "prepare to start, free your endorphins" is the same volume level as poweramp music, but during interval comments (every 1km) music from poweramp gets much louder, as if endomondo caused music app to play at that high level. Don't know which setting might cause this. Endomondo is rather obscure when it comes to audio options, while poweramp just overwhelmes me
I'd buy a beer if there was someone who might answer your problem as well as mine..
well, Id like to know whether endomondo recognizes songs played by poweramp?
I have a Alpine car deck and a Android phone.
I can confirm that which connected via bluetooth to my car stereo while using the default music player to play music, song tags/information/track is displayed on my car stereo (I am assuming using AVRCP 1.3). However, I have tried poweramp and player pro and they both do not display the music info/tags/etc on my car stereo which is a big minus. Does anyone know if any other music apps on the market (besides the default android music player) will display via bluetooth/avrcp, all the song tag/information/track/etc?
thanks in advance

I also use poweramp and player pro, neither of which at this time will display info on car head unit..Latest Rocket player update does however display info. I don't like the interface as well as poweramp or player pro, but you get the features we are looking for like fade, crossfade, and track/artist display on your car unit.
I upgraded my phone to the stock Android Lollipop build using Samsung Kies. I previously had my phone rooted. Everything works great with my phone under the new OS, except for something that I use very frequently - playing my music from my phone in my car over bluetooth. This is a feature I use daily, and now it has been crippled.
When I play music on my phone, connected to my aftermarket car stereo via bluetooth, the song information no longer shows up on my car stereo. Also, when trying to use my controls (face of the head unit, or the steering wheel controls), it does nothing (skipping tracks, etc.).
I am using the stock music player. Any help would be great, or even knowing that this problem exists outside of my phone would also make me feel better.
Having similar issues.
Audio controls work, but track data isn't working. Only samsung/google player are working properly with metadata.
Spotify, Pandora, and Soundcloud are not transfering audio track names at all.
Same here, I have a Kenwood DDX-418 and I can change tracks with the on screen buttons but do not get display. Maybe pull old kit Kat stock player and push to lollipop

Hi guys,
i just noticed this strange behaviour twice since having my Honor 10.
When i'm listening to spotify music via bluetooth in my car (no Android Auto connected), sometimes (not every time) after getting a notification (notification sound is also played on car audio) the music continues to play without any bass (low frequencies are missing).
After pausing and resuming the playback in Spotify everything sounds as expected again.
Someone had that, too?
And found a fix?
For me it would be ok to disable notification sounds when on bluetooth audio.
Call rings should play tho.
I naild it down to the facebook app.
It happend when listing to spotify with my soundbar, too.
After shutting down facebook in and notification setting the sound was normal again.
Is there a way to remove "sound permissions" for facebook app but keep the visual notifications?
