Hello, so I have installed the Pixel Launcher(ODR-3952143) on my rooted Nexus 6P as a system app. I want to downgrade to the 7.1.1(3624681) Pixel Launcher because I don't like some of the features in the Android O launcher. What I did was clear data and cache of the new Android O Pixel Launcher then I cleared it as a default home launcher. Next, I used ES File Explorer(with the correct permissions) to remove the Android O Launcher and replace it with the older launcher(again with the correct permissions). Lastly, I restarted my phone several times to see if it would work. No luck! The version doesn't change. Under Apps in settings, it lists the Pixel Launcher as version ODR-395143. Nothing updated either as if nothing has changed.
Does anyone know of a fix, or why this is occurring?
Thanks in advance,
Milo
Hi, everyone. I'm a noob in custom ROM installing or Android in general so obviously my first try ended badly.
Device is LG Nexus 5 (just 5, not 5x,5p or whatnot). I chose LineageOS 14.1 to install, and followed all the steps.
OS itself installed, I believe, correctly (atleast without any errors during install), but Google Apps don't install at all.
I tried, like, every single option on opengapps dot org (choosing "ARM" platform and "7.1" Android) and there's always this message in TWRP log during install: "NO changes were made to your device".
I tried to download GApps manually afterwards, from the phone, but it's not the solution: Google Play Services are constantly crashing and connection with Google Account is interrupting.
I hope you can help me :crying:
UPD. Problem solved. There was not enough system memory
Hi,
I have a problem with apps from google play store, because some of them crash moment after start. On my last android device I had Android 7.1 without GAPPS and every app I was using worked like a charm. But I bought a new phone, which has Android 9.0, and then it all started. It is Oneplus 6T and on stock Oxygen OS with disabled Google Play Services everything works. But when I install custom ROM and I don't flash GAPPS or install microG, then apps crash after startup. I would like to avoid even microG, because of signature spoofing thing, and OpenGAPPS are totally unacceptable. Some apps are region related, but for example Duolingo is crashing too.
Thanks in advance.
I recently installed lineage 17.1 on a Motorola harpia, I was installing thing on it and it was working fine, but after tried to install edxposed riru magisk module my recent apps just stopped working, so I uninstalled the module, reboots, but still nothing
How can I fix this? I didn't want to reinstall everything again
It was my fault, I installed lawchair 2, and uninstalled quick step, but the quick step is what contains the recent apps

For me it failed to install the older versions with the error "Package appears to be invalid". Happened both after only removing the updates in settings and after completely uninstalling the current version with ADB AppControl. Any ideas on how to fix that error would be very appreciated.

If you have completely removed the default and only launcher, Poco launcher, from your phone, you will have problems. Here's how I solved the similar launcher problem I had before ; Install any other free launcher and choose it by default. Then re-install the Poco launcher from google play store or the link or from any other source and select it as the default launcher. Now you can completely uninstall the other launcher if you want.

That's how I tried to do it, I forgot the mention that I used another launcher (Nova, in this case) as default while uninstalling POCO Launcher so as not to end up without a working launcher. However, even while using Nova as default I couldn't install any of the other version of POCO Launcher I tested, all I got was the error message above.

The last thing that comes to my mind is to install the x64 bit Poco launcher apk. Because sometimes i get this error too when i try to install any x32 bit apk.
I'm not completely a developer but i think horizontal recent apps menu is so bad. Vertical was way better than horizontal but just as an advice, put an option for this and optimize it.
