General Autofill SMS OTP verification code not working - Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

I am using Gboard and Google messages and every time I have to manually enter the OTP code on my phone. It doesn't enter automatically.
I have already enabled autofill in Google settings and it still doesn't work.
Any solution to this?

[Q] Can't login to Google Apps

Hi all-
I'm familiar with Android and I've been playing with rooted phones for the last two years. Now I've moved up to the G tab. I'm not a developer, but I'm good at following directions. My tab is running Vegan GE at the moment and I'm unable to use my existing Google login to access any of the apps: market, gmail, gmaps, etc...
Things I've tried without success:
-Market Enabler
-NVFlash, reload stock files, clean install of Vegan GE
-Wipe and load V 5.1.1
-Wipe and load Vegan GE
-Repartition
-Clear google framework and market data
-Reset WiFi and verify connection
-Create new Google account: success! But doesn't help with accessing my default account
Every time I try to sign in via the "Add a Google account" or Market method, I get either the "Your username and password are incorrect" message or "Your phone needs to communicate with Google servers....." It holds on this screen for roughly 30 seconds and then pops up the "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server".
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, and THANK YOU to all the developers who turned this tablet into something amazing! Even without direct access to Gmail this thing rocks!
Solved!
I'm using Google 2-step authentication and needed to generate a device specific password. I can't believe it took me until now to figure it out.
The data connection message was throwing me off.

changing gmail faults...or not?

Hi! I tried to change the gmail account without making factory reset:
* Go into / data / system / root accounts.db through explorer
* Remove existing accounts.db
* After being removed please reboot your phones
* After that, when going into or open market then re-insert the account you want.
* Have a nice try, good luck
http://getfreeapplication.blogspot.com/2011/07/android-tips-how-to-change-gmail.html?showComment=1312975176182#c2616215550924612905
Everything worked fine since I entered my new account details:
1. tried to connect to google servers - didn't work - but I was signed in the market.
2. I reset the phone: com.google.process.gapps error appears (maybe google talk)
3. I am not able to enter the market and phone with new account.
My question is: Can I backup everything from my phone - but not the account informations of google?
I'd just wipe and reset the phone, but I'd like to backup the apps before...
or is there an easy working way to change the gmail account?
thank you!
AD
to backup your apps you can use "titanium backup" there is a free version on the market, if you want to backup the data from the apps you need to have root acces
ok! Thanks - I have root access. I will give it a try.
Can it be, that it takes some time - when changing gmail account - for the new account beeing able to connect with the phone?
edit: I have downloaded and installed Titanium Backup - when I want to backup everything (apps, Contacts, etc.) except google Account infos, which option should I take?
I'd like to easily change my current Gmail Account with a different one and have to wipe everything for it....

i don't use gmail, but maybe the gmail account is listed under settings > Accounts and sync?
If it is you can normaly delete it from that list
hope this helps
Hi Hitmax -
I'd like too not use gmail neither - how do you handle it? For emails I just use my private emailaddress - but I thought for using the market, etc. I have to use a gmailaccount?
thx!
AD
Yes you need a gmail to use the market.
According to hitmax117 you can ad or delete a count in account and sync menu. You can also delete gmail or market data thru application menu.
Bonsoir -
you can delete the files - but than you have to hard reset...
After a few hours of testing:
It works! Very strange behavior, I tried a lot but finally it works. I wrote down, what I did, so maybe it can help people with this problem:
After changing gmail account on device (without hard/factory reset), you get error messages after rebooting - and you can't see your device listed on the android market account (you can't download apps).
I made the following for changing the gmail account - without factory reset! ;-) and the phone is listed on the market :
(before I did anything I made a backup with clockwork Mod!)
* Go into phone: / data / system / root accounts.db through explorer
* Remove existing accounts.db (backup before!)
* now reset the phone - you'll be prompted to enter your new gmail account detais
*you'll get some error messages - you can ignore it
*even there are errors: you'll enter the market after a while
*you'll get the error message -"com.google.process.gapps", etc.
*you can fix it by putting all files from apps.rar - thanks to "The Andropirate"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=873884
*use droidexplorer or anything else with you ROOTED phone to put files to
system/apps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=464956&d=1292420131
*reboot the phone
*no error message should appear any longer
*now you should be able to just enter the market and download apps on your phone
BUT: market.android.com will make some strange stuff: maybe it will not show your device. What now?
I tried a lot. Finally it worked this way:
'*enter google account - after:
follow this link: https://www.google.com/accounts/SmsAuthConfig
*enter any number - save - everything, that it's set up completely
after:
*set up "Apps and website authorization (translated from german) "
https://www.google.com/accounts/IssuedAuthSubTokens
*Enter some APP: e.g. Android
get the code! copy it.
reboot your phone!
After you should be prompted to sign in to your gmail account.
*enter the code you got from your account.
*Now you'll enter the market on you phone
on log off your google account (desktop) and log in again.
now go to https://www.google.com/accounts/IssuedAuthSubTokens again.
*you should now see a list, where your app is listed.
"delete" it.
On you phone you should now be prompted (maybe after reboot), to reenter your password (now with your normal account password).
NOW: you should see your device listed on the market!
I'm not sure if it works everytime, but you can give it a try, maybe it helps someone.
No guarantee.
Good Luck!

Google Talk Authentication Error - HELP!!!!

Hi Everyone,
After Verizon pushed the ICS update, I'm now getting the Google Talk Authentication error and I can't find a way to turn it off. I don't use Google Talk and I don't want to enable it on my domain. Any suggestions?
Authentication Error
Google Talk failed to login. If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that Chat service is enabled for this account.
In advance, appreciate the help and suggestions.
Dan
Go to settings, accounts, (your primary google account), and uncheck the box for google talk. I don't have it, but it should be there.

Note sure why you would be getting that, but have you tried simply disabling Talk? Go to Settings->Apps->All and scroll down to Talk, then Uninstall Updates (if you loaded any), and then click Disable, should take care of the issue.
I just figured it out - for anyone else, it is go to Settings, Apps, click on the All tab, click on Talk, Disable
Thanks GrayTheWolf and AceJavelin,
After I posted, my screen refreshed and it showed your prior responses. Sorry for the duplicate entries.
Your not going to believe this, even with the app disabled, I did the force stop, cleared data, I still get the error.
Help!

Your next option is to root and delete the apk.
There has to be another option.
Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me.
I'm debating on doing a factory restore and reinstalling all the apps again.
Anyone?
Real solution

After cloning a samsung gio s5660 through a CWM backup I started experiencing the same issue. Heres What REALLY happens.
Google authenticates you in their services trought unique "keys" which are automatically generated upon system installation / factory reset, so if you clone your device or install a rom which has these "keys" pre-installed, obviously, your rom will only autheticate you in google servers if your phone is the only one using the service at that given time... Upon failure, your phone assumes to be the one who's wrong, and google servers won't autheticate you until you either tell your phone he is not wrong (by deleting the data from play store, which resets its status and errors) or you change the "keys". SO, what can we learn from this? deleting the play store data IS a temporary solution, and won't solve a thing. Let's delete the duplicated keys shall we?
Navigate with your favourite folder explorer on your android (I use X-plore, you can tell me anything, there's nothing better) to the following directory:
- "(root)/data/data/com.google.android.gsf"
Now you have two real options, either you may delete the all folder, which was the perfect solution for me, since my rom is prepared to re-create it upon phone restart and new keys will be generated, OR, you might want to just delete the contents of app_sslcache inside com.google.android.gsf whish are THE KEYS I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ALL TIME, YEEEIHHHH and reboot your phone...
Needless to say, take a nandroid backup before you do any of this...
Thank me later
For those who remember me from symbian s60v3 phones, yes, it is me, I'm back, and I've moved to the droid world, it's much better indeed
Solution for "Google Talk Authentication Failed"
Hi Everyone,
I fixed my phone!
I have tried all solutions posted here and in other forums but none have worked in my Xperia X10 with custom X10S V9 firmware.
I have tried to:
Clear Google Play Cache several times (DIDN´T WORK)
Return to the original firmware and them go back to the custom firmware again. (DIDN´T WORK)
Create a second account and switch them in Google Play. (DIDN´T WORK)
Execute "Fix Permitions" on xRecovery. (DIDN´T WORK)
Disable GTalk Sync mode. (DIDN´T WORK)
Change password and disable 2-times authentication on Google Account. (DIDN´T WORK)
The problem occurs because Google Play(Market) needs a Google Talk Authentication.
A have fixed my problem using a tip posted in another site that a can´t post the link here.
You can find in Google searching by "Delete google email account “Google Talk Authentication Failed” notification in android"
You have to delete your Google Account(using a non-usual solution) and create it again:
The process is the following:
Your Android must be rooted
Download and install a "explorer software" as RootExplorer and RootToolbox.
Launch the Explorer
Go to data > system
Find and delete accounts.db.
Reboot the device.
Now go to market and login using new account
Sorry my bad english!

Thanks so much reicesar. I've been looking for a solution to the Google Talk Authentication Error for a few weeks and your simple fix seems to have fixed it, where all the others that I tried have not. Your English is great! It saved my Kindle.

Not even that works for me. Used Root Browser to delete accounts.db. Then rebooted and I was still signed into my accounts?!
Which explorer did you use?

How to fix: Can't establish a reliable connection to the server

Yesterday i flashed new kernel and the google play did the "No connection" error.
I tried many options excluding factory reset, it was the last option to try.
I tried clear data and catch of the play store and the google play services and it didn't fix it.
I tried to fix permission in the recovery, to remove the google account and when I tried to enter the account again, the phone shows me the error: "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server".
I tested many fixes that I saw on the internet but again WITHOUT FACTORY RESET.
I tried many things myself, and wow!! I tried to find an option how to fix it!!!
I decided to show you the option!
Let's start!
1. When the message appears ( ^^up to this^^ ) click on the next button.
2. Now if you will click on the log in button, it will show you the error again. So click on the register button. Enter any details you want, it will not help you in the future. Now when you finish to enter the details, go to the google play, it's will works now!!
3. Now go to the settings app, and remove the account you added last minute.
4. Press on the add account bottom and click on the google icon. Now you can add your google account without any error!!!
Enjoy !!

I think I found another option to fix it, just to go to the host file and delete it.
After it to do a reboot and that's it.

Lost my password

My phone is setup with finger print password. I went to try to change that to something else but it's asking me for a password. I forgot it and can't change my unlock type. I tried to factory reset but again is asking me for an alternative password. Since I can't recall what that is what is my option?

Try doing a master reset from recovery rather then from the menus.
If you are setup with a google account, you can just use the google device manager google.com/android/devicemanager to change your password.
westirvine:
Here is how to reset the alternative password without actually knowing your alternative password...
1) Go to Apps -> Settings -> Device Administrators -> Enable Android Device Manager
2) Log in to your gmail account on the Android Device Manager website: google.com/android/devicemanager
3) Click Lock and reset device password
4) Enter your new password
