Hand strap - lanyard - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Accessories

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

There's no loop on the XDAII that I know of, so there's nothing to attach it too. However, I've have installed one on my new Magician and I used it around my neck for about 10 minutes before deciding that I didn't like it.
Cheers

Selling advice

Hiya,
As it looks like I will have my XDA2 soon, I will need to sell my original 32meg XDA. Its in good condition and works brilliantly, the only problem is that it as a couple of tiny scuff marks on the screen. The cannot be seen when the unit is switched on and barely noticable when off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how much I would get for this device in the UK?
Regards,
Chris

Anyone using the Krusell case for TC with an Orbit 2?

The title says it all really, just want to know what the fit is like etc. As far as I can make out we're a bit stuck for cases for the Orbit2.
Many thanks. Apologies if I've missed this if it's covered here somewhere.
OK, just to round this thread off, in case anyone else out there is thinking of buying a Krusell case for the Touch Cruise to use with their Orbit 2, I now have one and basically I am fairly happy with it.
On the negative side, the case adds a fair amount of bulk and it's not possible to have anything plugged in to the bottom connector (a real pain for headphone use) whilst the case is poppered up. The fit is not exactly right, many of the holes don't line up exactly as they would if the case was designed for the Orbit2. The popper you need to pop to open the case to take a call etc is a bit of a fiddle, would have been great if Krusell had designed in a tag to make that easier.
On the plus side; the case is a big improvement for me over the case that came with the phone. The quality is great, ah the smell of new leather! The holes at the back for the camera and mirror and the speaker seem to line up fine. The fact that the holes at the front don't line up perfectly doesn't seem to make any difference to the quality of phone calls.
My plan is to get hold of a leather punch/sharp knife and do some customising, so that I can plug my headphones in whilst the case is closed and to enlarge some of the holes at the front so that it should all fit properly. Then if Krusell/someone else releases a custom made case for the Orbit 2, I wouldn't think I'd even want to change it.
If anyone else is interested and wants me to post any pics let me know and I will be more than happy to do so.
It would help if you had a link to the product.
I am interested in seeing your pictures too...because often times I have found the pictures on the manufacturers \ store websites are VERY misleading and small.
Thanks in advance.
Would it really help you? I see you are in the US, I am talking about the O2 (European) Orbit 2 which has differing dimensions from the rest of the Polaris', due to the O2 branding, which gives the whole phone a different shape and means various bits are in slightly different positions from the Polaris/Touch Cruise. If this still might help you I can fire up the camera and post some pics, no problem.

Problem with stylus on Tilt 2??

Hello, I bought a used but mint conditioned HTC Tilt 2 on ebay recently. The phone came with absolutely nothing but the battery and phone. I ordered a back, but it didn't fit so i'm ordering one from HTC now. I also ordered 2 stylus but they don't fit.... They go in as far as they can about 3-4 cm sticking out where normally the magnet would kick in. I at first thought it was the wrong stylus but now i'm thinking something coul possibly be shoved in their?? I hope it's not the case but I did put the stylus in all the way and it took forever to take out because it was stuck. Here is what I bought. http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Stylus-Ti..._1_2?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1272945089&sr=8-2
Is it actually OEM or fake so it wont fit? Or is something else wrong.....
Nobody can help me?
there's not a magnet on the tilt 2, just snaps in, there's a microswitch to detect removal of the stylus. You might be right about something being jammed in there.
OOOOH, their isn't a magnet? No wonder, I did feel something switch like whenplacing the stylus in. It's just so hard to get it out compared to when I had a fuze long ago.
should be easier than the fuze.
It's harder actually. Never know if I have to claw it out or gently pull.
I would agree with that. I went from a FUZE to this and this is slightly harder. Mostly due to the smaller size for me though.

Anyone else tried this case?

Friend got this case, played with it a little bit, not too bad. Allows you to undock and carry it like a folio or dock without removing the entire case. Think I might try it, but I wanted to know if anyone else already had.

Can someone confirm this is a LCD/digitizer issue?

Hey there, here is an image of my gf's phone (my old one!) which i recently dropped quite hard onto concrete from about 4ft high. As you can see it's slowly dying, the pink-ish band has been coming down gradually over the past 24 hours.
My plan is to find a replacement LCD/digitiser screen and fit it to the phone. Will I need a new glass cover also? Has anyone else ever seen this and successfully repaired it?
Thanks!

If I'm correct is a screen problem
Definitely the digitizer.....
that is broken. Bought a replacement on ebay, about 100 dollars. Came as one unit, front w/glass, digitizer and connector tool and screwdriver. Fairly easy to replace. Look at youtube videos. That helps.
Be sure you get the right one. My softkeys are erratic at times. Might be the versoin that is wrong.
Any confirmation om that will be appriciated w or wo any hints to correct that.
thanks guys, gonna look for a kit now. Does anyone know if I can buy a second phone with for example, bad motherboard, and lift the whole screen and stuff from that one?
my pack arrived today, but there's a big plastic thing same shape as the screen, but like a big sticker with different cut outs. Is this the digitizer? Do I have to break open the fresh front panel? All the guides I've seen suggest otherwise, but I can't figure out for the life of me where it goes :/
just in case anyone was wondering... i never used the sticker thing. I followed iFixit directions and the phone is good as new. a snazzy white/blue hybrid!
