HTC Home and HTC Audio Manager setup - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom ROM Development

I am trying to get HTC audio manager to work thru the THC home music tab. If I have HTC audio manager running it works fine via HTC Home, But HTC home 2.1 will not start audio manager (it says it cant be found) any Ideas how to do this?
Thanks
Catalyst

maybe you need a new version from the audio manager...

I have got what I think is a new version but am struggeling to find version info on it, but it is the only one I found as a cab file.

The Answer
For any one else who needs the answer, all files go to the windows directory.
The lack of replies makes me wonder if these forums are dead.

Thanks
Actually i was trying to find out how to do this too, i was trying to find a reg key for the htc home that had the location of audiomanager, but i had no luck. thanks

Did you tried the HTC customizer located at http://www.pocketemu.com/download2.html Theres actually a function to change the audio manager without any fuss

Catalyst_oz, the suggestion by Rambo87 is the right one.
And no no one is dead here in the forums but u should have searched this thing as it has been answered umpteens times in different threads.

Sorry, I am burnt and might be an idiot and reading this wrong. Are you asking about the HTC Home Plug In with the audio tab or the separate HTC audio plug in?
If its not working with the HTC Home Plug In.....
HKLM > Software > HTC > Music Plug In > Music Player (DWORD 2)
Sorry if I read it wrong.

Wifi settings found in HTC Touch Dual

Guys,
Here's how you view the .exe file
Go File Explorer, make sure you check the "Show All Files", then go to Windows folder, the file name is "WLANSettings.exe
The attributes for this file is "Read-only", "Hidden", "System" & "ROM"
Any of you willing to test if it works, as i do not know how to enable this function on my device
sounds interesting. On a plain winmobile 6 this file doesn't exists, seems that HTC placed it for some reason...
Exctaly today I found (casually) the same settings on my device!!!
I think...these are the settings swith off of WI-FI!
Anybody knows how to turn ON?
If I click on TURN ON...it does not works... maybe it's necessary to change some valors in Windows..
later
on the touch with wifi there is also an WLANSettings.exe040X.mui file......you may need this also.

i found this file "WLANSettings.exe.0409.MUI" as well, but it prompted me to choose the program to open this file
So, any advice on this Wifi enabling settings ?
I found two icon files as well, one is "WiFi_datacall', the other is "WIFI_on" !!
...you are near!
...the setting to change are in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\WiFi...
let us know...!
Tell me what to change and I'll try it
Yes, please keep us updated bro!!
Very good work!
I found these!
Hi everyone, this is what i found in windows folder.
(see screenshot002)(hold your cursor over the pictures to see which screenshot number!)
when i click on WLANSettings, I see the option to turn on. (see screen003)
on "menu", there is "Comm manager"(see screen008) & "wifi"(see screen004)
also in wondows folder, there is a htm page for wifi.(see screen007)
I havent really tried to "fool" around with it yet...may try so very soon..!
Oh yes, & one more thing...there is also an exe.file "wrlsmgr"...which shows a different looking comm manager than the original one.I wonder why?(see screen009)
The WLAN doesn't come ON..I hv also tried puting PNGs to indicate..I think something very small we are missing
Keep up the good job

sorry i already check your proposal and... unfortunately nothing
Here my 2 ct:
I think, the phones with the qualcomm chipset in fact are able to do GPS and wifi; HTC just disables them to save licensing cost, because, if they enable wifi, the cost will rise for the phone.
Sounds like making sense, huh?
Anyway, i ordered mine yesterday and am dying for wifi...
So, i hope the best for all of us....
we
i don't have HTC touch or touch dual, yet.
suggestion:
have someone tried to extract the COMM Manager program from HTC touch and create a .CAB file for it, if need. then take it and install to HTC touch dual device.
once you have it install, do the normal WIFI configuration such as network card and etc... and test the wifi connection.
if it is not working, then most likely the touch dual does not has the wifi hardware addon it.
can someone perform this wifi experiment.
open it and post some hi-res picture. If you do it slowly and gently the warranty will be safe because they will not realize that you have opened
With pictures will be possible without any dubt understand if wifi is in or not
So, has anyone managed to set up the Wifi ?

i need help with my titan/ mogul with wm 6.1

im very much a noob when it comes to ppc as you can see this is my 1st post/ thread.. id like to say thanks for the many apps I got on here.
now my problem is that my old htc home cab crashed my phone after I installed wm6.1. so what I need is for someone to point me the right direction to a working htc home pluggin for wm6.1 and also is there away to make my phone louder? like and app. or a hack.
*if this is in the wrong section mods u can move it...my bad
for the htc home cab, you would probably need to check out one of dcd's rom threads for a fix like on the 3-5th pages or somewhere in there.
to make your phone louder, you can use audiopara. i personally use gc's audiopara since it works perfectly. just search for GC Audiopara on here and install it then reset. it works great.
Hope this helped and WELCOME TO XDA DEVELOPERS
Get HTC Home Customizer from http://www.pocketemu.com/hhc-info.html
It will auto download the correct home for your phone, with working weather, etc. Very useful tool.

thanks a lot guys your awesome. the htc home worrks fine on my phone, but the audio cab. doesn't show up any where and I tried to reinstall it and it said it was unsuccessful. do I have to dl it to my pc and sync it to my phone?

I've left the Dark Side, a couple of questions

I've just got my HTC Hero... I was going to hold out for the HD2, but 1) There's a recession on, and 2) I played with a dummy version and whilst it's fantastic, it's very very enormous, and I have issues with the size of my equipment. (Unsightly bulges in my suit. Um...)
Isn't Hero lovely? It's the thinking person's iPhone.
Anyway, can anyone help with:
1. I'd like to sync some files with my desktop, in the same way as I could with WM My Documents. What do I need to do?
2. How can I get my MP3 ringtones to register?
3. Is there a good time-based profile application? (WM Phone Weaver was excellent.)
4. I hear Hero will support Andriod Eclair? Does anyone know when it's coming out, and what's going to be new?
Thanks for your help!
Welcome
1) If you plug in your Hero into your computer, your Hero should have a USB notification at the taskbar. Bring down the curtain and "Mount" your Hero. This will allow the computer to see it like a USB stick. Just drag the files across as you would normally.
2) Sorry - I didnt quite search around to find the post that would answer this for you, but the process was detailed by Dayzee - search around one of the stickies in the general Hero section.
3) As i came from WM, i liked time-based profiling too, however, i have failed to find an awesome one just like Phone Weaver/Phone Alarm/SPB Phone Suite etc. Locale is a FREE program on the market which suggests it can do these things - i find it a bit confusing and not useful for me. Example, I cant choose the phone to enter vibrate mode if it sees ANY appointment in my calendar, but you can select individually the appointments to switch into vibrate. To me, it was too tiresome to continuously add every appointment so that it will turn to vibrate..someone might be able to help you out here (even me!)
4) HTC have stated that Android 2.0 IS coming to Hero and they are working on it. THere are numerous thoughts on when this will be and nothing is confirmed solid yet from HTC.
btw, most of your questions could be answered if you read around the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge around this forum and even at Modaco's about our Hero. Might be best to read around first before posting. Just had a skim through this section of the forums and i could see 2 Android 2.0 threads. That would of definitely answered question number 4.

Use tone picker, you can download it in the market place. There are other apps that do the same thing but this one works fine for me.
It's also possible to select a ring tone in the original music player. When the song/ringtone is playing in the full screen app (not in the widget), press menu and there is an option to add the song as a ring tone.

HTC EVO 4G LTE: How to get track and album art information on my car's display: Root?

So I've been having this problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702047 and after posting in give different forums I ve given up.
At this point, Im simply looking for a way to get my album art and track information on my car's display, whether it requires root, bluetooth, USB, no bluetooth, whatever. I just need a way to get it done.
Here is what I thought of:
Option 1:
The linux bluetooth stack for android (Bluez) now supports AVRCP 1.3 but my EVO LTE still does not..there is something wrong with that picture. How do I make this happen? I have a Prius with a head unit that supports AVRCP 1.3 and i need to see my track data on my head units screen. I know one solution is switching to Cyanogen Mod which has already updated to AVRCP 1.3, but is there a way to simply upgrade the bluetooth stack without rooting and going to Cyanogen?
Or if I must root, exactly what ROM should I use other than Cyanogen? Isnt there any sense based ROMs that have the added ability of AVRCP 1.3?
Option 2: My car, in a way, does work with Media Sync USB option. Like I explained in the thread linked above, it detects the songs but completely unorganized, and as of recently, it doesnt detect them at all. I keep getting this media file titled "join hangout" and "facebook pop" which are 3 second files each. It seems like they belong to some app or function in my phone. Why does my car keep finding that? Isnt there a way to trick it into finding the songs?
Im getting pretty desperate at this point. I ve researched extensively for weeks how to manipulate MTP metadata, upgrade bluetooth stacks, manipulate disk drive option on EVO LTE, but I ve found nothing. At all. Please help me. Id truly appreciate it.
Im usually not the type to bump, but I ve been posting in 4 to 5 different forums and out of all of them. this is the one forum where I am hoping for the most creative, knowledgeable answer..since you know, developer's forum and all. Hoopefully someone can chime in. I didnt realize how quickly threads got pushed to the second page, very active forum.
I think CM will be your only option. As I understand it, HTC locked down the bluetooth in sense which makes it impossible (or very difficult) for AVRCP 1.3 to be be ported to a sense rom.

So, I was told CM is not yet ready for EVO LTE. Is this true? Also, do you know if rooting voids best buy's black tie thing?

It doesnt have an official build, and there are still some issues, but it looks close to being a daily driver. If you check out the thread, you can find out specifically whats still not working. And you can always unroot and go back to stock with the ruu for bb.
if your going to use the media sync portion do you have your music in folders per artist or just all thrown in one folder, try separating them by artist and album, most apps read them that way

My music is automatically organized by itunes, which does it as such:
Music => Band Name => Album name(s) => Songs.

[Q] Sound/ringtone problems

Hallo everyone.
I know that there are little of us still using WM 6.5 but I am one of them (as a second OS) and I have one big problem.
Since few days my ringtones doesn't work, and I simply can't change selected ringtone, nevermind I tried it in settings/Sound&Display/Ring and Notifications or in Start/setings/Sound&Notifications. Whatever I choose everything still stay unchanged and phone doesn't ring. When I use the hardware volume keys, it beeps loudly. I also have problems with sounds or volume in other programs, and Windows Media does not open in the Start Menu - won't open any music file.
Does anyone know what might be a problem and how to solve it!? Thanks in advance.
Still using WM6.5.5 as main OS myself
Have a look at thread & suggested causes & fixes from link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628968
Thanks man, I've been looking all over the web and i couldn't find any similar solution but this helped me!
Thanks once more...
