please advise me..I tried different version of WM6 as last 1.04b. any of this is doing right,only 1.03 is a little bit better because has FLASHLIGHT and I miss it in 04...but camera does not work...I tried WM5 from HP but it do not do on my PC...it has been write „fall in comunication“ when I connect with PC and when I try from SD card so FLASH did but it stopped on HARD reset...When I reser it by hand...start blink white screen with title HP...Do you known how could I give it in same status as producer?... while trying upgrade original HP ROM it showes this window... please Help!

try to flash by miniSD card, download ver 1.04b miniSD by NHOCBANME put in root of card and go to bl mode by pressing sofkeys and stylus reset after 15-20`it´s done

I've done all search BUT still can not solve out my problem.
I tried to upgrade my current ROM (1.03) to 1.60 BUT when upgrade in process; suddenly it said cannot find the device(XDAII).
At that time I took out the machine from cradle and did soft reset. And put it back to cradle to continue upgrade. And the error message still said it still can not find the device.
When I tried to enter into Bootloader mode and USE ROM on SD to restore my original ROM, BUT I tried the method mentioned in some post;
still cannot go to BOOTLOADER mode. On the screen it always said " Serial on the top.
Could anyone help me please?
I have the same problem..
i even tried with Qtek Rom, MDA rom... still not working.
When I turn on the xda II, it only displaying serial on top and v.1 06 at bottom.
tried to run the xdaII upgrade rom with the error :
ERROR 100 : MODEL ID ERROR 1-N-PH-PH-PH
If I try with QTEK and MDA Rom it just does nothing, or it hangs for a long time..
I have tried many times and still not working..

if you have something written on the screen; such as SERIAL V1.06 then in my opinion you're still okay. do a couple of hard resets, put the unit back on the cradle and double click the upgrade file again. a lot of chaps ran into this same problem but eventually got it going again.

I have the same problem b4, its frustating to see my XDA become an "expensive brick". After trying everything finally worked. What i did, after u turn on your computer plug in the cradle and also put the XDA into the cradle. Usually the computer didn't recognize it as Pocket PC, so u need to insert the companion CD to ur CDROM. After the computer install the driver, go to folder where ur upgrade file at. Click on HimaUpgradeUt.exe and follow the instruction until finish. DON'T FORGET not to disconnect the power or even take out the XDA headset from the cradle until finish. Good luck guys

I'm trying to upgrade my friends O2 ATOM to any new software .
the problem is that when it reaches RADIO UPDATE
it stays on 0%
PDA Screen says ( UPDATE RADIO STACK ,,,, PLEASE WAIT ... )
IF I REMOVE THE USB CONNECTION , THE ATOM STICKS ON WINDOWS SCREEN , AND SOMETIMES ON SCREEN ALIGNMENT .
i tried three different roms ad got the same result , even thru BOOTLOADER screen, it is very imbarresing , as i promised him a better performance device , now it is not booting .

just keep flashing the device, it fails sometimes on the first flash at the radio section, simply disconnect it and then reflash it for the 2nd time.
How long you've wait the process?
I've upgrade my atom more then 10 times and when in Radio Updates it's also not showing the progress as what you've seen.
But it doesn't mean the process is stopping. Just wait and the process will finished. (Usually in it shows the progress in your PDA screen)
Don't unplug your usb cable before it finished.
unfortunatly i had to unplug the ATOM
now it gives only one massege

for me, I'd take out battery a while and then connect USB and try to flash with wm5 rom like "Xda-Atom-ENG-20060105" (you can found on this forum under "Collection of All O2 XDA ATOM ROM AKU *** (WM5(2*->3*) & WM6 (0.3*->0.7*))" post).
And then upgrade to wm6 rom by ... jiggs, homer285 & udayrulz .....

Just keep flashing the device.. take a bit longer time and then will complete the updating ....

Allow the projected 30 mins for the update, if you plan to update via SD Card be sure to read, ALOT! good luck, oh you could have a little read in the Atom Wiki too.
could be your cable or connection?
ATOM ROM update problem
I had the same problem & tried different ways explained in this thread.
No success.
I tried with old original ROM and all new ROMs as well, it stucked on updating RADIO BURN message on computer and ATOM displays Updating RADIO STACK.
I tried removing battery and kept for some times and tried back but same result. Please anyone can help me
i had this problem also. i was unable to reflash my atom. It stuck at the same screen as what the previous user described. At first, the touch screen failed and there isnt any GSM, as in under wireless manager, "phone" isnt there.. E.g There should be Wifi, Phone and Bluetooth in wireless manager.. But sometimes after some soft reset with the taking out of battery, the gsm comes back together with the touchscreen. But this occurred quite frequently until i decided to re-flash it.
Im using the official rom of Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.. Is there any way to solve this problem?

try to update to any WM6 or if you still want the WM5, there are a lot of ROM
's available. I had this tradgic experience aswell with o2 default ROM. Im contented with the WM6 although no a2dp support yet =)

i'll agree with the others, better change USB cable as well =) It could be faulty you can use cable from canon digicam/motorola phones et. al.
I would suggest reflashing the ROM with cooked ROM's available here like WM6 or WM5 if you still want to stick with it. o2 default ROM gives me a headache before. No1 rule before upgrading ROM...... Read the WIKI hehehehe

Hope u can also flash 'OS+EBoot' part of it and then after ur Atom Exec restarts u can go in bootloader and flash the original WM5 from O2 ‘Xda-AtomExec-ENG-20060614_R060428N_EX0028.exe’.

Charge your batty, with the orig. charger - After 1 hour, give it a try, and go to the bootloader modus, than take your USB to the PC and flash a WM5 Rom. Read here some treads, this is not a new prob.

Hey mate,
Whats the version of your radio rom?
I like 02.19.21, i think its the best radio-rom for prophet i ever used.
but that can be because i have Vodafone, dont know if its also the same with your provider...
but i should say, give it an try!
here you can download all Radio-Roms.
First of all, when u start flashing (doesn't matter what rom) always use HARD-SPL!
And i can advice you an good rom(although for me in case)

There is no WM7 for the prophet and u used a next upgrade tool not recommended really did you not know that WM7 have not came out as yet? am sorry I cant not help you u will have ether buy a next device or go back on the forum you got the files from tell them what happened and ask them for a solution but you should of stayed on windows mobile 6.5

I reinstalled French WM6.1 rom 2 days ago. Worked well. Add some apps : VGA HTC Home, etc... Yesterday, tried to start the machine : doesn't start... get off/in battery doesn't solve pb. The screen never lights on.
So, decided to flash ROM using camera+reset. The screen is OK, since I can see ATHE100, IPL-V1.00, ATHE100, SPL-v1.20.Olipro, And Serial then USB when i connect to PC
Started to flash with latest French ROM WM6.1 : the screen light off at 12%, with error 276. I try to recover, nothing happens. The update tool showed no name for a previous ROM.
Continued to flash with MichyPrima WM6.1SPL1.2. It goes until 100%, says 'done', but again I can't start the machine...
Any idea ? Is it possible to downgrade SPL 1.2 to the original one, then flash official ROM... Do you think using SD card flashing method may help ?
Is it possibly a battery problem ? I think mine are full, but I can't verify... Why the ROM id isn't shown even after a succesful flash of Michy's ?

Hi my pocket is dead after update with one wrong ROM, I don't remember how and what was the error but now when I try to power on the phone show me only boot loader v 1.0.1 and nothing more, can't do hard reset!
When I try to flash the device show me problem in step 3: update extended rom,and freeze t 6% and I must to close the program...
What is the problem? is it possible to be hardware damaged? (but before all it was working).

put a good rom in a memory card, remove the batery
1-press softreset keys
2-put the batery again
3-push reset
the bootloader start again

But I try with test working ROM and no result...
First I use Kingstone 512mb,then try with 2gb nokia and again nothing.
Maybe I wrong or I dont understnd what must do to.....
