thats for the herald not the wing... as silly as it soundsi use the lil mirror thingy time to time..

I have this one:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/armorcase/armor-case-t-mobile-wing_2710.htm
It is awesome, very sturdy and you can still use the phone's buttons. It has the proper cutout for the mirror and also opens in the correct direction to make the keyboard usable with the case still on (unlike some of the cheaper ones).
Build quality is tight and the neoprene liner holds the phone firmly in the case so it won't drop out. The case is light but adds a little bulk to the phone, it's still the slimmest option for pocket carry and could take a hard shot from a turnstyle or counter with no problem.
Definitely cheaper than a replacement lcd!
Hope that helps =)

is it me or is that the same case...?
looks ALOT like it
and its a bit cheeper plus free shipping also

They do look similar but I can't tell if the cheaper one has a protective plexiglass window or just an opening...

invisibleSHIELD
I bought one of those invisibleSHIELD thingies yesterday for my Wing.
I have one for my iPod Tocuh and it hasn't gotten a single scratch on it!!!
http://www.invisibleshield.com/smartphone/t-mobile/wing.php

Here's a link to get half price invisible shields
http://www.zagg.com/showspecial
$12 for the wing full-body is a decent deal, I'm just not sure how it will stick to the rubberized case of the wing and it does not give any crush/crack protection.
Either way I'm probably gonna get a screen protector

the one on daydeal does have a screen cover i emailed and asked. lol

hahaha, you gotta ask these days
Give it a shot, it's probably made by the same factory

wouldn't the protective cover over the screen keep you from using the touchscreen?

yes thats why its a flip open case
for eazy access to the screen
in your logic a armor case would also prevent some one from opening the phone to the keyboard
same thing it flips open

So did it come yet? I'm curious to hear how the build quality/tightness of lockup etc. to see if I paid an extra $14 for a boxwave sticker =)

im having issues with my creditcard and inturn paypal also..
havnt resolved it yet so i am with out a case
with that said my friend got the plastic body case for the phone and it was pretty much feeling lol

i have this case, nice fit, the matte metal is pretty slippery and it has slipped out of my hands a couple of times. one time the case popped open when it hit the pavement. also, when you drop it, the case will get silver nicks all over it. it is pretty strong, but will deform a little when you drop it, you can kinda bend and reshape the case to good as new. case also dents if it lands squarely on a corner.

Best Cases

Can you guys give me any recommendations on any good strong cases and screen protectors, that will stay on even if they are dropped. A link to the website would be good also. I was thinking of getting a screen protector that is like a mirror, where you can see yourself when the phone is not on.
Thanks a lot!
In my opinion, the otterbox is the best. theres a whole thread in this section about them. I've had mine for a while and its held up pretty well. I dropped it twice already and nothing happened to the phone or case. The case didn't even come apart at all.
here is a link to the case

just got my otterbox today. FREAKING LOVE IT.
You don't get that sound from the case moving around while you're holding your phone.
It's really snug, thinner than other cases. And it's tough.

Yup. Otterbox +1. My wife bought the Body Glove type one from T-mo 2 days after she got her slide and lost the front cover 2 days after that. The Otterbox uses thinner but slightly bigger tabs with better plastic. The tabs don't inhibit the slide action as much, grip better because of the larger surface area, and are stronger because the plastic isn't as brittle.
The only downside is that it was a little bit harder to put on than the Body Glove one, but it only took a few minutes of being patient and attentive to detail.
Body Glove Kickstand Case - deceased
I had the Body Glove case w/kickstand on my phone... it worked well for me until I needed to open up my back cover. One removal was all it took and one of the tabs was gone. I took my time and was gentle with it as well.. the tab just seemed a little too brittle for any removal/reinstall once it was initially installed. I don't have a case on it now, but am interested in the Otterbox one that seems pretty highly praised.

With the otterbox I only had to take it off a couple times, the battery door came with it instead lol. I have no idea how to take it off without feeling like I'm breaking the phone.
I just got my Otterbox case yesterday. I like it, sturdy and durable. I bought it from Amazon for a nice price. I just don't understand why phone cases don't have clips or something to put them on your waist. I don't put phones in my pockets much since I usually have stuff in them.
I might have to get a OtterBox now... The only thing keeping me is a case makes it feel quite bulky. If I can get passed that then I'm sold after hearing so much praise about the OtterBox.

But Otterbox is the only hard case that doesn't come off when I drop the phone. So I loveeeee it.

I'm not a big fan of mirrored screen protectors. From what I've seen, they really alter the way the screen looks when it's actually on, and I don't think it's worth the mirror effect. There may be some which do not do this, but I'm yet to see one.
are there any mirror/reflective/chrome style cases, skins, covers, anything like that for the slide?
I use a black fish bone case that I got off of amazon it legit

I have a mirrored screen protector and it really does alter the refraction of colors. It is not unbarable, but I have ordered a clear one. An added note: the mirrored screen protector requires you to brighten your display more and thus use more battery. If you still want a mirrored protector go to wirelessemporium.com. like 6 bucks and free shipping.

Beware - Cheap eBay cases

Beware of the cheap eBay cases. I've tried several styles and one has basically ruined the painted trim on one of our NTs. Ironically the cheaper one with the elastic straps causes the least amount (no) damage while the ones with the "leather" frame-type holder has rubbed off or damaged the trim on another of our NTs. The elastic straps also do a better job of holding the NT since the "leather" trim ones has begun to stretch and allow the tablet to slide around.
Could you post a pictures?
I got a Moko Folio case off amazon that did something similar. It put dyed black dots all over where the felt-ish backing touched the nook. My fix was to put a skinomi on so the dots would not get worse but I am still disappointed.
yea i bought one of those cheap cases on ebay for like 18 bucks. i am starting to see some leather stains on my NT... any ideas on how to get rid of them? i already tried rubbing alcohol which didn't work, my next idea is to use vinegar...

I'm hoping it's just the color from the cover but I tried to clean it off and it didn't work.
Sorry it took so long, but here are the pics - excuse the dirty screen - seems like the screen savers smear up more that the unprotected screen:

You can try oxalic acid containing products ("Barkeeper's Friend") and if that doesn't work it's pretty permanent. It's stronger than vinegar but it's the same idea; it should be safe on plastics. This is assuming it IS a stain and not rubbed off (the above looks rubbed off).

I bought the same case in those pics and took the same cornholing . I tried all kinds of stuff to clean it and stopped just short of acetone. Right now my nt has a Skinomi skin on it, but when that eventually gets scuffed up and removed, I'll try that barkeeper's friend suggestion.

The same thing happened to me.
I bought cheap "leather" case from ebay. After I noticed this thread I checked my Nook and it has these marks
It is a first time a have such issues with cheap ebay cases.
It looks like it is a stain not a rubbing off of nook plastic.
Probably it is a black dye from fake suede used as liner migrated to the nook plastic.
Plastic used in Nook definitely is a factor.
I wish I noticed this thread before I used the case. I ordered new one from BN.
I would greatly appreciate if somebody shares a way to remove these marks.
try the speck fitfolio, picked mine up from amazon. works pretty good, doesn't cover the front and it has a soft suede backing so no problems with scuffs
Has anyone tried those types of cases that have fabric (rather leather/"suede") inner backing?
Let us know if they do come off. I have noticed some slight staining on mine and am probably going to buy a more fabric based case.
TBH it doesn't bother me too much since I mine is almost always in a case. I get nervous when it's not.
I got my case (actually, one of those things that make your tablet look like a book) from B&N for $19 on sale. It works perfectly and gets a lot of compliments. I wouldn't get those cheap eBay ones...
I was really close to buying one of the Moko until I saw that Snugg made a case for the Nook. I'm glad I did after seeing this thread. The Snugg case is great and hasn't stained my tablet.

News flash: Cheap chinese knock offs causing damage. News at 11.
Judging from the pics it looks more like rub off then residue. But knowing they used the lowest grade materials I wouldn't it put the idea of cheap ink soaking into the rubber plastic of the NT case either. Good call on the bartenders friend. That stuff has saved me in the past. As has the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
I would not use goo gone though. I've had that crap destroy plastics in the past.
I do hope you guys are able to get your nooks looking good again. I know I love keeping mine in pristine condition and would be pretty upset if something bad happened to mar it's surfaces.
You're better off buying the covers from BN.
I didnt buy the cheap leather chinese case from ebay becuase it was cheap, I liked it cuz it had the ability to fold into a stand. The barnes cases dont have that, but I severely regret not having bought one now.

I like it, but its bulky looking, I like cases that don't add bulk.
Ill probably get the black silicone case from B&N, since its the only one I like that covers up the scuffs left by the ****ty ebay case. Im willing to try drops of acetone with cotton swabs, worst case scenario, ill pull the thing apart, and paint the bezel.

It's not actually that bulky. The covers are really thin and are made of an almost rubber material. The flaps fold back and are held together by magnets inside.
It was a really good idea from Barnes and Noble if you ask me. Perfect for working out of my e-book textbooks during class.

New Rezound now I need protection!

NO not THAT type of protection  Ordered my new Rezound today and am looking for a good screen protector, case, etc. I have done a little searching on topic and I see alot of "I wish they made this for the Rezound" and not many consistent reviews. I am a mechanic and with my old DINC I had the issue with metal shavings even if I put in a small ziplock bag. Anyone have a good cheap fix to this problem so I don't immediately screw my new phone? I have found: CASE and PROTECTOR that I like so far. The realook seemed to be on par or similar to the steinheils people seem to worship. thanks in advance
screen protector
I work in a machine shop, so i get shavings as well
On my BB the chips would get into the speaker and cause problems
I use best skins ever protector without any case and have not had problems.
easy install, smooth feel works great
http://www.bestskinsever.com/htc-rezound-skin
that's interesting, is it just a plastic shield for front and back?
If bulk is not an issue, I'd suggest getting the Otterbox Defender case. I has a built-in screen protector and will make it pretty hard to damage your new phone. Check them out here....

By the way, you can find them cheaper on Amazon or Ebay. I have no affiliation with any of the companies mentioned in this post.
I agree with mefloump, I just purchased the Otterbox Defender and it works great. I highly recommend it.
I've been looking at it too. I have someone else with one on an iphone. Nice cases.
Check out the ZaggShield. Definitely my favorite.
will def give those a look at. I was a little concerned about "bulk" how bulky is it? Like I keep my phone in my pocket (non saggy/baggy) am I going to have problems fishing it out? lol

your best bet is zagg! order online for 16 or 17 buck + shipping, but it is a lifetime replacement if anything happens to it
Not sure if it was suggested but get the Zagg screen protector and pop out the screen protector that comes with the Defender case. You'll be pretty protected.

I would look into ghost armor if I was you. They are the best screen protection I have ever found but I wouldnt order one and put it on yourself, they put it in a littlte hot box to cook it to the screen. Amazing feel, almost cant tell its there, and they do a little demo by intentionally scratching it with car keys and what not with no damage.
I've been pretty happy with tpu cases, very thin yet durable. I've actually dropped it a few times with no problems. And to top it all off I just got one off eBay for about $2.. I also use the cheap screen protectors because they feel smooth and if I scratch them it's not the end of the world.

"Crystal Clear" TPU case

Has anybody tried one yet on the DT2? I want to protect the leather, but still show it off, as well as give some cushioning for light drops due to having wood and tile everywhere in my house.
If anybody has used one, how clear are they? How well is the fitment? Specifically, I'm looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...id=1447601659&ref_=sr_1_19&s=wireless&sr=1-19
Reviews look like it doesn't fit right. Although people are talking about tablets. One says the slots and holes aren't right. Doesn't look promising. I'm waiting for Diztronic because they've never let me down with TPU cases for my phones.

I received that very one 2 days ago. I really like it. Was looking for a bumper case as I don't tnink the phone needs a back cover. Couldn't find one so I ordered this one. The back is indeed crystal clear (so far) and shows off my soft grip well. The sides are tpu & offer way more grip than the original metal. All the cutouts line up & the buttons are easy to push. The clear back plastic is apporximately 1/16" thick. I'd buy it again.

+1 on Diztronic, good cases, used them on other phones before, and I have the blue TPU one on my D2 now. Not the slimmest of cases, but very well made and the button feel is perfect, better than naked.
I got the Pleson clear TPU case cause I love the look of this phone, but FWIW, clear cases just seem like lint traps to me. I found myself removing the phone from the case too often to clean out all the pocket lint that was getting sandwiched in there...kept bugging my OCD tendencies. And when it was out one day, you guessed it, dropped on my concrete floor in the basement and dented the corner a bit....GAHHH.
I have this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01868SM9S
It fits well and all the ports are uncovered. Don't try using the screen protector that comes with it, the one they sent with mine is too tall for the phone.

That is where I ordered mine. You can probably find it cheaper somewhere because that is expensive. I just wanted my pen, case and phone to come in one order. And not many places are selling cases yet, especially since I ordered it October 27th. I can't tell you anything personally yet because I had some issues with DHL and originally using a PO Box. They called me once, I gave them a physical address. The guy that was supposed to first deliver it didn't read the updated note and marked it not deliverable. I called, and the lady said she saw the note and said he must have read the original address and not checked the update. So after about two hours, I got a notification it was on hold. I called again and another guy told me she put the information in wrong, blah blah. So he told me it would be delivered Wednesday. I told them why does it have to be Wednesday now, why not Tuesday when I should have had it Monday. So he looked in his system and tried, and it is supposed to be delivered Tuesday with an URGENT tag. It's been a hassle, but should be worth it. Pictures of the case from online attached...

So I received my order. The case is very finger print resistant. It's made better than it looks in my opinion. The kickstand spring is snappier than you would think being so small. The kickstand snaps back into place with a magnet. The only part that worries me is the thin rubber piece between the charging port and screen. Hopefully that doesn't break too easily. The inside is like a velvet coating. The phone does come with a clear rubber case that feels tacky so it has good grip. It also comes with a plastic screen protector to start you off.
Edit... The phone also came with a screen protector already put on for me. Nice. They did a good job centering it too.

I haven't used the pen a lot yet. I'm still setting my phone up. I customize a lot and use widgets more than the average person. But from what I've used it seems okay. It has a different feel on the glass than Samsung's S-Pen. It's like smooth metal over glass is the best way to describe it. And it feels much better holding an actual pen over the toothpick sized S-Pen. The M-Pen has a charging port the same as the phone. It took me a day to notice it as I was messing with the phone more.

Mate 20x kickstand
Hi for you guys who has bought the back case with kickstand. How was it? Worth it? It is true there is magnetic plate inside the cover so that it can stick to car magnetic mount?

I think the kickstand is solid, more than it looks. The stand part is snappy, and yes it has a little magnet in it. I noticed it when I set it on my wash machine. I literally just went right now and tested it to give you a good idea, and it's strong enough to hold the phone against the side of the wash machine.
This looks good with both functions of kickstand and magnet. Though it will be shipped from China.

I have this same case it feels pretty good plus to me the kickstand gives the phone screen a good view when it's kicked out.
Finally received one of my cases I ordered from Ali. The redwood look one . Fits great and you can find the fps a lot easier than the OEM case. Still waiting for the kickstand cases to show upon Ali to order. I haven't seen anything yet
