[MORPH] AOSP Gingerbread Status Bar (Updated for Nero Beta 3) 12/15 - Vibrant Themes and Apps

This Metamorph changes the status bar and status icons to the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread UI. Make sure you are using the latest version of Metamorph (1.9.13 or higher). I'm not responsible for anything you do to your phone.
For some reason JK6 doesn't like morphs. To install you must morph each app separately. If MM hangs, reboot and move to the next app.
WARNING:
Make sure USB Debugging is enabled in Settings -> Applications -> Development.
If you're using the standard TouchWiz launcher, this morph will remove the Messaging icon from the bottom dock. To get it back, open your applications, press menu, view type, customizable. Menu again, then edit. Find the Messaging icon, drag it back into the dock, then menu, save, menu, view type, alphabetical grid (or whatever you had it on before.)

How'd you get the 3G/Edge icons, wifi, signal bars. I searched for them in the sdk earlier and didn't find anything.
Didn't look deep enough. /system/app/SystemUI.apk

I noticed that after a second flash, the new battery icon was there, but within a minute, reverted back to the accurate battery mod that comes with Onyx...

Because Onyx has an accurate battery mod.

Yeah I figured that was causing the issue. Id rather have this battery icon, to unify the theme, but Im enjoying Onyx right now...
Steps to take?

Nice work. Glad someone put this out... Will it work for cm beta2 ?

Yup. I had a hard time finding them at first too, though Goog may have moved them, and then found SystemUI.apk

It should, as long as it doesn't have an accurate battery mod. Another user said it was working on his Evo 4g on CM6.1

Am I able to just flash the signal bars and not anything else???

Unzip the file, remove everything but the signal icons, rezip, make sure it's named "Gingerbread_Morph.zip" and apply.

Is there any chance that a ASPOish pull down could be included in the future version?
Or is there a way I could possibly do this myself?

That would be WAY over my head. Sorry man. I don't think anyones really got an AOSP pull down working yet.

Looks cool. I did 1.2 and it I guess does not have the cool background over the 4 shortcuts in the drop down.
Looks good, about to run it on my international Galaxy S, will let you guys know how it goes.
Same issue of framework-res.apk hanging, but everything else seems to be running fine.
I saw you m mentioned black apps metamorph... Is that a theme from the market or something?
Pooped from my Samsung Vibrant using XDA app...
Dont mind the skidmarks...
S15, did you flash this on top of my morph? I did and mines the same way... Still no words under the 4 quick shortcuts..
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
how long does the install take for everyone... mine hangs for quite a long time, and i usually pull the battery...
^^ correct, that is what I did... It's a shame, this theme looks sexy.
Will have to flash back to stock if coming from my morphs I guess.... And delete all the battery Icons if you have a segmented battery animation...
Not sure why this isn't working for any of you guys. Both versions flashed for me on the first time without a problem. I am using Vibrant7 now.
Though I have noticed a few things that might cause problems with installing any metamorphs and here are a few of them...
1. Lag fixes...For some reason with some of the lag fixes I have noticed that metamoprhs no matter how many times you try don't apply like they should. So if this is the case for your lag fix the solution is simply to apply the metamorph before you apply the lag fix, and then it will carry over with your lag fix. Just make sure you get it right before you apply the lag fix or else you'll have to redo everything again.
2. Turn on USB debugging...sometimes this causes metamorph to freeze up if it is not on.
For those of you just looking for the icons and all black bar I have made a mash up of this Minimal theme and Black bar Gloss theme because it has more of the framework mapped at this point. It seems the update zip will flash correctly regardless of any lag fixes that may cause interruption in Metamorphs. So I use
the zip each time I wanna make any modifications and just add the edits into it.
I made 2 flasheable versions with Fightspit's Super Circle Battery version E and an accurate battery mode i made for the Captivate if someone wants to try and make versions for the Vibrant would be nice since i'm not sure if i will have the time to do it because of a hurricane and storm alert was announced for the up coming days.

doubt it's cause the lagfix because I have the same issue, and I haven't applied the lagfix ever.

[MORPH] Blue Gloss V2 for NeroV3 [12/27/10]

I'm getting back into the theming game, and here's my first theme for the Vibrant. This is still in it's early stages, but will try to update it frequently. This theme is based off of the Touchwiz blue color scheme with some added "gloss" effects and other edits.
Instructions:
1) Open zip in Metamorph
2) Choose "Apply All" option.
3) Screen should go blank for a minute or two, then it'll reboot. If it does not, just hold the power button for 8 seconds to reboot it.
4) Open zip in Metamorph again.
5) This time apply just the subtheme "Phone.apk".
6) Metamorph will probably Force Close, just hold down the power button for 8 seconds to reboot.

-I'm not responsible for anything you do to your phone-
As of now, this has only been tested on AxuraJL5. If you test this on Nero, and it works, please report.
Screenshots:
This theme is based off of, and includes, the original framework from AxuraJL5 ROM.
Main Features:
-Voltage wallpaper
-Data icon mod
-Blue accurate battery mod
-Blue subtext in notification menu
-Phone.apk framework changed to blue
-Notification pull-down menu edits
Installation:
1. NANDROID BACKUP FIRST
2. Download FroyoVoltageJL5.zip via link below.
3. Unzip, and place unzipped folder in the AndroidThemes folder on your sdcard.
4. Open Metamorph and click "pick existing themes", located FroyoVoltageJL5 and select it
5. DO NOT CLICK APPLY ALL! Apply all subthemes individually, and in the order they are displayed.
6. Apply TWframework-res.
7. Apply framework-res, reboot.
8. Apply Phone. After this applies you will get bombarded with force closes. DO NOT WORRY, this is normal. Pull your battery, reboot again, and your morph is complete.
**Froyo doesnt seem to like morphs, so you actually may need to reboot a couple times for changes to be complete. It has nothing to do with the theme.
**If you are applying this to your AxuraJL5 ROM, you will not be able to see your time clock in the status bar, because the clock that comes with the ROM is black, and so is the status bar background of this theme. If you want to fix this, I recoded the services.jar file which needs to be installed seperately. It doesnt take long at all. The file, and instructions, can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912223 ---- THIS FILE CAN ONLY BE USED WITH AXURA JL5!!!!

This is a services.jar edit so the only thing it would screw up is notification clock color if it was changed. There might be some other color changes but for the most part it should not screw up your theme.

Clock gets cut off when using non stock font (Ubuntu) in this case. I didn't try any others but verified that changing back to stock font fixes.
This is on superclean 2.3 with your No Battery Popup/No AM/PM on Notification Clock mod.
Once we get the source, who is going to take it upon themselves to make all these service and framework edits we have lying around and make them look to an external file for the setting?
We really need a way to be able to mix and match all these mods without having to disassemble or create every iteration of mixtures to suit everyone's preferences. If you haven't seen Ultimate Droid's settings app.... Oh man, I miss it.
Thanks a bunch for this, but one question - is it possible to remove the the status bar notification as well? If so, how? Your excellent mod gets rid of the popup, but - on the stock ROM, at least - the phone still chirps awake at the status notification.

I want something that is position in the same place as the battery icon on the top right hand corner. I just cant believe android dont have this feature by default! It is better with percentage rather than just battery icon.
Unfortunately it will be possible only on rooted devices.
The Arc has been rooted so we just need some mods that help us with that.
I really hope CyanogenMod will be ported to the arc. It has this and many other cool functions like a Notification toggle.
Cheers
We just need the scripts, perhaps the stock gingerbread scripts from Modaco,CM7 or OTA N1 can help
or...
CM7 on Xperia Arc. That would be awesome!
That's why you shoul show to CM team that we are many users and not only 2 here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20708-sony-ericsson-xperia-arc/
Try Battery Minder, free from the market. You can put the percentage on the left corner of the top.
Done! I hope they start working on this ASAP.
Mod roms is the only reason I rotted my phone.
Once recovery is sorted, we'll be able to use the UOT Kitchen to try tweaking the battery images:

Yes, I agree with that too. I will prefer to have the battery percentage indicator on the original battery icon on the top right corner.
It will be the same battery percentage icon modification as the X10.

Im using 3.0.A.2.181 too..you should make a backup of the original as good practice, the phone should still boot if anything goes wrong but remember to enable USB debugging first
Sent from my LT15i using XDA Premium App
Please note I have not unlocked bootloader so I can only use ADB, can not use fastboot to recovery. My phone is only rooted. So I need enable USB debuging to use ADB to replace original framwork.apk if phone will not boot, is it correct?
