Motorola Atrix 4G Boot Animation, Wallpapers, Ringtones - Defy Themes and Apps

Hey everybody, got some wallpapers, ringtones, and a boot animation from the Motorola Atrix 4G. Enjoy!
I think the boot animation should work on most devices. I tested it out on my Samsung Captivate. I promise it's more impressive on the phone than in my video below. My camera doesn't capture dark colors well.

I like the animation, but it would be better with only the motorola logo. Works fine on my defy

I've modified the desc.txt file from the bootanimation.zip file so that it loads the red logo only.
If you place it in the system/media folder, it should work properly.

If you want to just install the red logo boot animation, you need to root your device and buy Root explorer to install the bootanimation.zip file in the System/Media folder.
There are other methods explained somewhere, I don't remember where.

Looks cool will give it a shot thanks.

Thank u very much.
I'm downloading....

I have to say, the time of showing white screen with "Rethinking xxxx" is toooooooo long.
Red Moto logo is very beautiful.

My phone is rooted and i have root explorer, but its not working...

Same problem, I have used Super Manager to move the bootanimation.zip file into my system/media folder and then attempted to reboot.
My phone boots normally, without the new boot animation.
Any ideas?

very nice Bootanimation.
It looks nice on my Defy but the Phone is a little bit to fast for it.

just the red Moto logo would be perfect for me ...
but, thanks anyway ...

Link is dead Please re-upload ringtones.

Has anybody a golden colored Status bar or tell me how to make one?

Yesss.
So hard to find good wallpapers (deviantart is full of cr**, pardon me) and Motorola usually offers real goodies! Thx

New XOOM Boot Animation!!! Help needed to get it running

Hey guys,
I am posting this link to this sweet boot animation that usmc7356 created. The problem is that he is not able to get it running on the XOOM. Any help is appreciated. Here is the link the XOOM forums:
"My First XOOM Boot Animation"
name it bootanimation.zip and place it in the system/media folder. should run fine
edit: no luck. after extracting the zip, i noticed another the first file is named bootanimation as well. extracted those contents and rezipped them/named it bootanimation.zip. therefore once you open the bootanimation, it goes straight into the desc and the part0 folder. still no luck. ill dig around and see whats going on. no promises as i am no good at coding but we'll figure it out. stock boot ani sucks lol.
brain fart and i deleted the old boot ani. can someone post this please? thanks!

No dice pimp. I even tried just replacing pngs. Your desc file is right on far as I can tell. Idk man, may be the file size. I compressed the images as much as I could w/o shrinking the img size, including the zip itself. No dice there either.

Brain fart number two. We do not have a custom kernel that allows for custom boot animations yet lol.

This won't even work w/ the OC kernel. The person who made this has the OC kernel and it is not working on his either. It is weird as the bootanimation file is exactly the same as his. The file google put on there is nothing special.

@bigrushdog. The person who made this also found a file in system/bin that is a bootanimation shell file. I opened it and it is all a garbelled mess. I wonder if this might be what is controlling the boot animation file. Since I don't have root access I couldn't open it in text editor but that probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway.
guys, custom boot animation works just fine. all you had to do was change the root of zip from /bootanimation to /part0 and desc. the content should be in root, not in another folder. Posting link in a sec.
Here ya go, courtesy of bishop72
btw, this bootanimation is wicked!
Awesome!!! Now how do we install this
I just dragged and dropped it into the system/media folder . It does work (renamed old one).
i popped the bad boy into Data/local with root explorer and it works just fine
Any chance someone could upload a video of this in action?

That looks awesome! But does it always take over 30 s to boot??? I haven't played with my Xoom a lot yet so I can't remember
Looks great, but I have a suggestion.
Make the data to the right load slower, and once it gets to the Invidia logo, let it sit (maybe with a "Starting Android" notification flashing somewhere) until the XOOM fully boots. It looks odd as a loop.
Otherwise, it's really well done.
It's only 512 x 256 pixels, very fuzzy. Am I missing something?
very nice man. hmmmm. can the xoom play sound during but up??

Boot animation /boot logo changing.

How to make a boot animation/boot image? Like replace the LG logo, and the Rom animation. A point to a guide or tut would be appreciated. Thank you
Sent from my VM670 using XDA App
To change the lg stuff is going to be pretty tough i link. Thats not part of the rom and might have to be done with like cdma tools or something.
But changing the goot animation is easy, just download the animation you want (make sure the resolution on its not to big) and paste it in the system/media folder on your phone with root explorer or something.
here is a link to the guide cyanogenmod wiki points to.
good luck with your project!

p.s. a forum search here will lead you to a lot more info on boot animations and some samples.

Even easier to place it to /data/local without any root required.
I wonder about this too. The bootanimation.zip is just that, the boot animation and doesn't even require root access to change. however, the manufacturer animation that comes before it I would like to change. I am running CM7 and would like to change the static red LG logo for the 'electron beam' animated one used in virtually every other rom, including the stock firmware. Wonder if anyone could just make a flashable zip to do this. I'm looking at wiki article and while I feel confident I could do it, it looks like a brick waiting to happen!
Thanks guys I got a new boot another and just replaced the obedience. Data /local and it plays just fine:3
Sent from my VM670 using XDA App
the ROM animation is easy you can either get a existing animation zip and rename and replace the bootanimation.zip with root explorer depending on where it is stored in your ROM if you want to make your own the animation is not a video it is a series of png files so you can make one yourself im not sure about the order just take a existing bootanimation.zip and unzip it and take a look

It's from the teaser trailer. It's light cycles.
Id like to try this, but when ever I try to flash a bootanimation or copy and paste one to system/media/ it doesn't work and the bootanimation it plays is "android" with silver flashing across it. Any help?

Yeah. It happens when I try other bootanimations too. I checked data/local too to make sure another bootanimation wasn't there.

That's quite odd. I've never encountered that problem. It should at least be using the original bootanimation or have a black screen.

Got it! Reflashed Eclipse and got it working! Nice boot animation! I like how its full screen too!
I think I'm going to stick with no splash screen and tron boot animation. Looks sick, great job!
Once I get on a comp, ill click thanks!

Thank you! It's great to hear that someone other than myself likes it.
Links are up!
If you download boot animation changer off the market you can just choose import animations after you download one and then just apply it ...it makes it easier for me then moving files all around

New CM9 Boot animation - KANG

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g8E7UJsfYY& (just in case)
This is a much cleaner and in my opinion better looking boot animation.
Here's the original file with a link to where i found it
I can't do it now, but I'll make a flashable bootanimation in a few hours if you're interested.
Lol I thought this was official. Anyway it's a unofficial boot animation of cm9 though it is quite nice and a bit cleaner.
But imo I think the official is a bit more epic. Anyway made a flashable for you.
download
-----------
CM9Unofficial
imo this is the best one!
this looks great, alot cleaner than the original. Is it possible to make a smoother/higher fps version of this boot animation? It kinda lags on my atrix, and the Low Quality version of the official didnt, i'd love to have a smooth version of this one
Thanks all.
Very nice boot animation in my opinion
I might if I have time

Installing the boot animation
For those who dont want to wait for a CWM file,
Browse the phone using Root Explorer and mount the system as R/W
Go to System/Media/ and replace the boot animation file in that folder.
For safety copy the original bootanimation.zip file to a different location preferably SD Card.
I already made a CWM file, check the 2nd post

Google Edition Boot Animation & Sun Beam Live wp

To go along with the new 4.3 aosp camera, I looked through threads to find the stock Google boot animation and new live wallpaper. Now my DNA looks as close as it can get to the Google Edition HTC One
Boot Animation
Sun Beam Live Wallpaper
I take no credit on these releases. I simply came across them in my searches! I'm running the boot animation on CM 10.1 currently. All is working fine.
Enjoy!
Thanks for this post! I absolutely love this boot animation! I'm using it on Rootbox and it works and looks great! Tried installing the live wallpaper and got an "app not installed" error, but no biggie. Maybe a bad download.
Edit: pushing the sunbeam.apk to system/app and rebooting made it work
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Thanks for sharing these. I had already installed the wallpaper using an app on the market, and it seems to work just as well. Flashing the animation works too.

Open the zip file and navigate to system/media. Extract bootanimation.zip (this is the only file you need) to someplace usefull. Use ROM toolbox or some other app capable of installing boot animations to make the changes.
