Actually Im trying to change it to become like the theme in the link I posted in the OP. That theme wasnt made for my rom (stock) so I'm trying to accomodate myself. Ive used apk manager and ninjamorph too but this one is weird. Everytime I push to system/app it either disappears or the stock green one shows up. I finally got it changed a little but its the older version (idk how it became the older version considering I used the newer version and changed png) and its still mostly green. Is there another apk I must change? Thanks for the help!

Did you try going under settings, manage applications, market...and uninstalling updates...that fixed my vending.apk problems

the newest Market is 2.3.3 make sure thats the one your working with...

From reading a few other themed ROM sections, lots of people with themed ROMS are seeing their themed market apk revert back you the green market.
One suggestion was deleting the market updater apk, clearing ur updates and cache in the themed market apk, and then re-pushing the themed market apk back to system/app.
This worked for me when I was using gingerRED.
Goodluck.

The version I have is 2.21 & how do I uninstall updates?

Here, this is 2.3.2 CWM flashable, neon blue market. It will not update and change back to green unless you want it to. I already skipped two updates and very happy since it didn't change. You might have to reboot a couple of times before it changes and if it doesn't wipe data for market and reboot.

Ok I'm seriously doing something wrong because now Im trying to change my framework-res.apk and keep getting force closes. All I'm changing is .png not even .9.png. What am I doing wrong? Here are my stepsall using apk manager)
extract apk
change images as needed
optimize images
zip apk (using system option)
take apk and push to system/framework using various methods
the end
ps. all images exchanged are from roms or themes not supported by the stock rom. I get the images to go after Im done but also get hit by a million force closes.

I used Titanium pro donate version and froze the market updater. After that I used Root Explorer and copied the themed vendor apk and pasted it to system/app. Worked perfectly. I did have to reboot initially and it worked. Hope this helps.

Battery meter 1.9

I have just cooked one file today for 1.9. The file needed editing after cooking in UOT and hence taking a long time.
I expect this to work for all.
The file needs to be flashed in clockworkmod or streak recovery.
If something goes wrong just flash update 1.9 and you should get things working back.
I will try to cook more this weekend based on user feedback
. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=60PYFTZM
New addition 3/23/11
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6QM0PWD3
Modified framework.res
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4TI7W0E1
Disclaimer : This could well be the last flash ur streak might have and hence do things at ur own risk
I've tried flashing this twice now and absolutely nothing happens. It does not change the battery meter to that pictured and nor does it break the phone and cause boot loops like failed attempts have in the past.
It flashed really quickly. I might try downloading it again later, maybe the download was corrupt?
It's using the new style update script, are you using streakmod? it doesnt work with the new style script.
You're either gonna need to repackage it with an old style update script or you'll need to flash with clockwork mod (or manually)
Hey mate, how did you get the framework.apk smaller in size to use on the UOT?
Tried with clock-mod no-go
also says install from Sd card complete, but no battery change.
thank you
streakmod recovery
Worked fine for me bro thanks

question, is DJ_Steve's rom hosted on UOT Kitchen? is it called Dj. Droid 1.8 ROM & Dj. Droid 1.9 ROM, those look like the only 2 it could be, or I could just upload my own framework.
Thanks.
People who cannot install , please rename the file so that spaces are removed in the file name...
Thanks to @extrememonkey from modaco
( I have changed the file name )

Stock SWYPE Keyboard + Market?

I have obviously a custom ROM and don't like the look of the market and SWYPE keyboard. I want the stock SWYPE (2.2) and Market look back. Can someone help me out?
Grab a stock vending.apk and a stock swype.apk and push them to your phone... Or use root explorer and delete the apks from system/app and replace them with the stock apks and reboot.

I did exactly as you said, remove old swype.apk and vending.apk, replace with stock - reboot. That didn't work at all. Market is missing, swype is missing still. I deleted/pasted in root mode in file expert app too.
I'm using community rom as well
Really need help here guys...please
ah..i forgot com rom uses a newer version of swype thats only available through the rom so far (frankly stock swype theme is so awful i couldnt use it, thus i made it gb themed)
so youd have to delete swype (from system/app) and swypelibcore (whatever it is) from system/lib as well then push the swype lib from the ed01 stock rom and swype.apk
market...idk why it wouldnt take
I'll try that. Anyone else know about market?

You need to give us a logcat of what is happening when you install these APK's. If you can't do that or do not know how to do that then you do not need to be customizing your phone. Don't ask for help if you can't help us help you. Not trying to be an ass, but that log is the kind of thing that will help us get you on track to a working Swype and Market of your choice.

Trying to Modify launcher2.apk super slim less then 500kb help

Ok not sure if this is the correct place to post so if its not op please move it.
Ok im trying to mod the launcher2.apk to remove default wallpapers and some homescreen widgets i have used apktool to decompile and i have removed wallpapers and widgets plus all references then i compile using apktool if i push the file to my system dir and reboot all works fine but the problem is if i add this new launcher2.apk to my custom oxygen rom then flash the phone boots up but launcher2.apk does not load im sure this is a sign problem. Does any one know how to solve this problem and what sign keys does the oxygen system apks use.
The reason im trying to do this is i dont use any default wallpapers and i can get the launcher2.apk from 4.68mb to less then 500kb i will share the apk after its done. Thanks in advance.

If you recompiled the app, try resigning it.
With what ?i tryed sign it with testkeys and platform and still does the same thing.
Please delete.

I was under the impression that if you're going to make changes to an .apk file, you had to decompile the .apk and make your changes, then take the folders you changed and push it to the regular launcher2.apk instead of recompiling and using the recompiled .apk. Doing it that way keeps the original signature intact.
I could be completely wrong though, so I would appreciate it if someone could confirm or deny this.
Edit: Just realized this thread was from 2011... My bad.
