I have a Samsung Vibrant with the JK6 2.2 Rom installed some months now, and I have tried different versions of the Android Wifi tether and hasn't worked yet. IS there any workaround or fix for this problem? A newer version of the ROM maybe? Thanks in advance...

i have a gtablet and i rooted and now i have HONEYCOMB CYANOGENMOD 2.6 android version 3.0.1.
It works great.
The problem is that i wanted to tether it with my droid 1 and i installed ADHOC v2. i tryed to install WPA-AdHoc-Signed.zip but i get an error (...wpa adhoc signed amend scripting was deprecated switvh to edify...)
Now the wireless doesn't work anymore, it wont see any networks.
any ideas on what it might be? on how can i fix it?

Try using Barnacle Wifi Tether. Works great on my Droid 2 Global.

I updated an X10a yesterday from 2.1 to 2.3.3 generic originally for X10i
The flashing was OK and the OS is working fine, but there are some issues. The Wifi works from time to time, the voice control isn't working (I don't know if that's because I have to download it from Market or it's integrated).
What can I do?
If I would like to change the firmware, which one is working fine and you recommend?

WiFi doesn't work with me either.. This problem was from the beginning of official 2.1.. my wifi can't support WPA/WPA2 host..
with the provided 2.2 ROM's here, it works like a charm, but now after the official update 2.3 it doesn't work any more

I have installed task650's 3.2 v6.3 rom and tried at least Bindroid, Overcome and the stock P7500XWKKK4 (which as i have wifi only showed the wifi direct but also the 3g aspect)
For some reason Wifi drect is removed from all the custom roms but its on the stock ones. Anyone know why its removed from the custom but not from stock?

I have a SGS II with Simplistic ICS RC7 and my main problem is that it doesn't seem to find the wifi hotspot created with connectify(software that shares your internet connection thru a wireless card) in my work (no router there).
Previousily i was on Miui 2.3.7 and it worked . Doesn't seem to be an ICS issue , more like a STOCK firmware issue, as my coleagues on stock 2.3.6 didn't find the hotspot eighter so i'm thinking it must be an modem driver issue or kernel. any help would be apreciated.

I've no experience with connectify, but you could try changing out your kernel. Wifi drivers are in the kernel, I believe. Give Siyah a shot.
well the only custom kernell from siyah for ICS available right now is an alpha version. tested it. wifi still doesn't detect my hotspot.
Sorry, totally missed the part about you being on an ICS ROM.
Being rooted I would like to tether off the root app for Android phones found here: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list
Has anyone had luck in using this? And if so, which version are you running? I just tried to use the 3.4 experimental version and doesn't work.

Don't upgrade to JB and use foxfi. Low battery use plus phone runs cool.
