[Q] Thinking about to change from Xperia X10 to ARC

Just wondering if we can get 2.3.3 on X10i and ARE you still good on x10i?
I don't use and play much about hardware, I spent a lot of time with apps from market and flashed new ROM released (Now 6.1.3 V05 Cyanogen). Just want to use it for daily / generally.
I love my x10i. It's really nice phone designed. But I also love to have newer coming technology.
Confusing myself!!! Please advice...
Sony is releasing an official v2.3.3 gingerbread for our x10 in the end of q2, if you wanna wait then wait, if not then the arc is a mighty fine phone
I'm staying with my x10 for a while more cause I love the phone and I'm broken so I can't buy a new phone lol

THE OVERHEAT ISSUE ! how serious is it?

hi all , i was considering to buy a mini ( to replace my broken w8 )but the retailer said mini is FILLED WITH PROLBEMS but i insisted on buying the phone (still not sure waiting for my dad's decison)...then i went a little deeper in to this ''problem'' and i found the overheat issue and it's darn common among mini users which may deter me from buying this phone ...i mean the specs are good and all but this issue seems so darn serious and there are a freaking ton of thread regarding this issue ...so from the opinions of the mini users how serious is this problem and how can i solve it?
hi tohno, i heard about what happen on your w8 on x8 forums ..
in fact i just moved on from x8 to and mini is a great phone.
don't worry the overheating issue.
i think that problem just is solved if buy a new mini
it's still heating but not like before ..
oh...nice to hear words from someone of my situation (and same country too imma from selayang ) ..so according to your experience the problem never occured? and is there a way to solve it incase it happnens? oh and how do you compare x8 to mini? how much better is it? how more does it cost? how much easier is it to root? sorry for the amount of question ...just want to make sure my choice won't be a regretful one
i don't know how to handle it incase it happen because it never happen to me
the problem does occured once when the first mini with .268 fw ..after update or if you buy a new phone that already have been update to .62 fw ..the problem is solve but difficult to root.
it's way too much better from x8 ..many hd games can play on this phone no lag have BE ..hd cam ..lol ..
i've just bought it about 3 months ago, in around rm699
EDIT : If you buy an AP set it would be arround like RM528 like that and if you buy from SE it would cost around RM745 something around that
woooots! so if theres no overheat problem that imma buy it ...so the FW .62 is all i need ? and why does the AP and ori price differs so much ?? that's RM200 more! is there a real difference actually ? is ap more prone to overheat issues?
wait...x8 is RM499 while MINI is RM520 ...and mini's specs are way way better than x8 and why is the price so similar? is the overheat issue a factor in it's price drop ?
i've bought a ori set from a local vendor ..i'dont know what the diffrence from the SE ..but if an AP set, they only use the original board but local accessories ..and the screen is much yellowish ..from what i can tell that my friend bought an AP set wt19i ..but some phone are okey ..
about the overheating issue on AP set ..i don't know ..
x8 at RM499 is an ORI set ..AP set would be around RM399
how about u buy mini pro? but quite expensive..
yup ..mini pro ..+RM100 more ...
but mini pro has slide-keyboard equiped, very friendly gadget.
it make u easier to typing/messaging instead of touch
nah ...mini itself is good enough ...my dad will never fork up that extra RM100 nor will i ask ...i only fear that this phone will be problematic ...
depends on someone interest ..for me i don't like slide keyboard ..all i want is touchhh ..touchh touchhh
yeaa...i think i might get my mini next week ...wish me luck =)
ouhh ..forgot to tell ..the heating does happen to me when after a long call ..about 30 minutes later ..the heat effect start to happen ..
only mini user had experienced this issue !
but sometime on my mini pro also happen when playing games for a long time..
lol so the problem is unavoidabole?
each device has their own advantages and disadvantages respectively.

[Q] [Confusion]_Xperia U_should buy !?

Hi,
As subject says.
I am having right now white xperia mini pro But i am planning to buy Xperia U. Should I buy???
would u suggest to buy? if not may u would lik to tell my why
I will be really thankful if u help me, i m really confused
The only real differences are the Software and the design.
My mom got an Xperia U and it's really awesome, the only downsides are the camera (bad in darkness) and no MicroSD card slot.
The Xperia U has a very beautiful design and a camera shutter button. The One V is thin and simple but the chin is very ugly and so unneccesary.
On the software you'll have to tell yourself, I personally like the Sony UI and Sony has some great apps, but also a lot of bloatware, I've only had Xperia Phones so I haven't had a TouchWiz or Sense phone, but from what I've seen I think that Sense is really ugly EXCEPT for Sense 4 (I think the One V has Sense 4) which is actually really beautiful and ICS optimized, also the Xperia U won't get ICS for a few months but if that doesn't concern you then I recommend the Xperia U.

I won't recommend xperia U.Personally I don't have it.My friend recently bought it and he regrets it.The main draw backs are no support of Devs(atleast for now).No ICS out of the box.Although sony promised an update we don't know when(correct me if I'm wrong)
So a better choice would be (according to me) Galaxy Nexus. It has got the best dev support. You get "instant" updates. And stock experience is what I like.So add a few bucks get Gnex.Only down side is bit a lag in 3d games but better than Xperia U.And other alternative is keep your xperia mini and get the Nexus 7 tablet if u aren't committed to a phone .
Hope I helped You.Think twice before buying

I was gonna recommend Galaxy Nexus too but it's a little more expensive.
You're right, Xperia U has a small community, but it's still pretty new and Sony Mobile isn't that big in the US, mostly sold in Sweden and Japan. Also Gingerbread SUCKS but if you're patient you can wait for ICS, and this guy just got ICS for his Xperia Mini so he's used to GB.

I think Gnex is not in India i guess, correct if i am wrong.
The phones just launched and the dev support will be there slowly i think.
Out of the Box Ics is not a importnt thing when u can get it by updating later or sooner
I already got dell streak with 5inch screen and ipad. so i guess i wont go for gnex7 tab

But the screen of GO is more smaller than U ???
and whats internal storage size and sd there??
@Moderaters.........Please close this thread, as the problem/confusion is solved. Got me Xperia u
pm the forum mod with your thread link posting here wouldnt help
Well you could always hope for a direct Jelly Bean upgrade, but Sony are so lazy with skinning Jelly Bean so I wouldn't think so.
But Jelly beans on Xperia U .......eehhhhh
wen Ics update decreases the RAM then i think JB will kill it. i mean JB will be requireing alot space.
btw, any1 know eta for ics on U

Xperia Mini Pro... Any Advice?

Hi Guys!
Well i bought a Xperia Mini Pro its my first physical QUERTY Android Keyboard. Its a amazing phone and i love it =D. Actually it has ICS 4.0.4 rooted, the nice, but is not faster than 2.3.4 but the UI its the reason to have it.
I'd like to know which game or app i can use it and to do it greater =D
I had a X8 and i installed all the ROM's (no stock) than i found, but now its different i have to unlock de bootloader and more thing... i cannot do it cus i dont have more time (my job... =[ ) so, i just use the Stock ROM, but i wanna know all your advices, cheats and all u know for the SK17 =)
something like... I Got a Xperia Mini Pro Mini.... so now what?
Thanks for ur time and sorry for my english =D.
NOTE: I not trying to make a dilenma about ICS or Ginger, i just wanna know about apps or something to make it better (the phone with android).
ICS is bigger, heavier, you can't make it faster than GB.
I mean something like
Themes for Xperia Mini Pro with ICS 4.0.x Stock ROM
Amazing Themes!

[Q] Miro vs U vs Go

I know there are a lot of stuff on the internet about this, but honestly, I didnt got a specific answer.
Im looking for a new Smartphone, because my old lg gt540 isnt satisfying my needs (battery and performance), in spite of the great job with the roms, on the gt540 topic.
I would like to know your opinion about this:
Xperia Miro, Xperia U or Xperia Go?
Thanks, vcosta
