BEST Case for PDA2K/XDAIII ?
I'm having hard time deciding as to what would
be the best case for my PDA2K. The case that comes with it
is very uncofortable and hard to take the pda quickly out of it
when you have a call.
Up till now, I've found 4 cases that were designed
especially for the i-mate. I would have preferred an
aluminium hightech looking case as opposed to elegant leather
case which kinda 'hides' the gadget, but all I found was leather
cases. I also don't know what would be more confortable the flip
or the book style type.

When are you expecting your Innopocket case? I have a few questions:
1. Are the application buttons above the D-Pad accessible through the case? It looks like they will be hidden.
2. How is your WiFi reception? Talk is that WiFi in general with the Blue Angel isn't very good, but I'd think putting the device in a "metal box" will make it even worse.

I didn't think about the Aluminium case will block WiFi making the poor reception of the PDA2K even poorer (can it get worse than that? lol)
My guess is that an aluminium case may make the WiFi even poorer, I think I'll go a leather case as this seems to be the only viable choice.

That's what I'm thinking. I was hoping that Vaja (http://www.vajacases.com) would make a semi-rigid leather case for the Blue Angel as they did for the XDA II, but when I emailed their support group, I was told they will not be making a case for the Blue Angel at all.

Nice! I'm still waiting for mine.
I just received my innopocket aluminum case. It's great! custom cutouts for the blinking leds, 5-way pad, answer/hangup, speaker, mic, ir, camera button, record, volume, power button, headphones, reset, and even a slider to cover up/uncover the camera when you need it. You are able to flip the front door upwards and slide out the kboard when you need it.

As some of you probably have read that Malata Zpad ships with an official (perfect fit) leather stand/case, i just wanna share that i have purchased it via the chinese ebay here: http: / /item. taobao. com /item. htm? id= 9003689863
Its 50 RMB so in USD its like 7 bucks. But because i don't have a chinese bank account (and many of you probably don't either) i have to go through a 3rd party (known as a taobao agent - google how to buy from taobao) to get this. It significantly jacks up the prices to about 20 USD. But its still cheaper than the ones unofficial leather cases you see on dhgate and alibaba.
My apologies if this has been posted before (though there are no similar posts showing up).

I think my Zpad is already coming with one of these and the dock.
Might cut a hole in the bottom and get my wife to sew it neatly so that I can use it with the dock.

because now the standard Zpad not includ one DOCK.

Even if it had an opening for the dock, I seriously doubt it could be docked while in the case. The case would simply make it too thick to allow it to dock.
As for the USB and SDcard access... I don't think it that big of a deal for day to day use. You could always cut the case on that side to allow access if you REALLY REALLY wanted it that bad.

I've seen other covers for it with holes for the docking port. So maybe it will work with the cover on, will have to try it out and see.
It is a nice looking case -- but I've already ordered a Kindle DX case based on other recommendations...
If it doesn't fit properly though, I'll definitely consider this one...

I found the same on Ebay and liked it, but they have the cut out on the top left corner for the Korean (?) version with the antenna. So being that the version I'll be getting here in the States doesn't have that, I'll pass on it. No need to have that spot unprotected for no reason.

I've always had good luck with Diztronic TPU cases, so for a few dollars more I'm sticking with them. I already have my Diztronic from Amazon waiting for the phone.
I bought a TPU case with stand off ebay for £5. They are usually about £2, but there is only one guy in the UK selling them right now so he can charge whatever price he likes!
Ive used these on my phones for years, theyre very handy indeed.
The stand part is likely to break at some point but I just buy a new one.
I ordered and have already received this case since my Spigen Neo Hybrid won't be here for a day or two after I receive the phone.
I can post some pictures if anyone want's me to.
Is this the same case? I ordered it last night.
EDIT: It looks like the one on eBay doesn't have cut outs for the buttons and corner.

I noticed when I paid my bill on the 12th of September that it was no longer on display in the AT&T corporate store. I asked and was told that they pulled it the day before. I suppose this means it either didn't sell well or the amount of problems is overwhelming and they are discontinuing it.
In which case, why aren't they giving those of us that got screwed on it some support? I won't lie- I know the PadFone X hardware issues are ASUS's fault, but the way AT&T is handling it (or more accurately, doing their best to avoid handling it) in my case is why I'm finally jumping ship.
The accessory blowout may have already begun as well. I just ordered the Incipio case bundle for ten bucks at the AT&T site.
Sad news if it's true. So much potential for this device. Mine is thankfully still going strong.

Thanks for the heads up! I got the screen protector kit and the incipio case for 19.81 after tax.
Thanks for this find, ended up paying close to 11 dollars but it's the best and only case suitable for the padfone x

I received my Incipio bundle today (well, yesterday). I laughed when I opened the box. I can't believe this thing used to list for $70. The phone "case" is a joke. Oh well;. I'm not looking for drop protection; I'm looking to be able to protect the station's screen in my bag or on my desk, and this will do that well.

Actually I am using a case I got from office depot called "solo urban universal fit tablet case" . I think it protects the tablet more and it looks more professional. Also I ordered a phone case off ebay that has been a home run too. Search for "Ultra-thin Slim Stand Leather Case Cover Holster For Asus PadFone X".
I grabbed a $5 TPU case from eBay that I throw on when I'm taking the phone out of the house. Easy enough to take on and off. It even works with the Duracell Powermat, although charging is much slower.
Got mine today, it's a nice cover, but wasn't going to buy it for 70, $11 well spent

I'm happy with the station cover and feel that alone was worth the $11. The phone "cover" is a joke, lol.
The special adhesive on the phone cover was kind of a letdown

Damn! I paid 80 for Incipio case... (but I got it a few days after it came out) I was in the AT&T store the other day and it looks like they discontinued the Padfone X and replaced it with the padfone x mini (which I didn't see hte point in, I love my Padfone x)

Does that phone case (I'm assuming its as in [1] or [2]) allow inserting the phone into the tablet without removing the case?

I'm currently undergoing the issue of having the back peel off my nexus 6 and I've only had it for a week so I don't have another $600.00 for them to place a hold on my account for a replacement. On google+ a guy sent me a link and said these might be wood replacement backs. He said somebody posted a pic of it and said they are actual replacement backs not just skins. If they are backs I plan on buying one now

These are simply skins that stick over the back, not replacement back panels. If you need a new back panel, they're on ebay with adhesive skin to apply them similar to stock. Goodluck.
Yes you can buy new white and blue back panels from ebay. They are perfect replacements.

Just to add to this, yes they are an adhesive skin, but they are real wood, and not a thin flimsy decal. If you read the original @slickwraps thread, people have removed the plastic nexus backing, and put the Naturals bamboo skin as a replacement, and it was a perfect fit, but it wasnt meant to be a replacement and not marketed as such. (The Naturals line, both leather and wood, are much thicker than flimsy plastic decals since they are real leather and wood)
I myself own a few of the Slickwraps Naturals products, and I have to say I am impressed with the quality.
I have the dark brown leather as my back and I removed the stock back. It fits 100% perfect and I love it! I also bought a spare OEM back in case I need it. The bamboo might need some sanding to fit flush I haven't tried it with mine yet but if and when I do I'll post some pictures.

OK no problem and yes I bought the spare OEM back on eBay from a seller in NJ. The leather is on my phone so I'll take some pictures for you. I just applied some conditioner so it's wet but I have a older picture of when I first installed it that I'll post right now below for you. I'll add new pictures once the constraints l conditioner is done drying. I"aged" the leather because it looks better with some wear on it.

i also bought an extra back from ebay. received it yesterday but the curved part of the letter "u" was not in place. it had come off. i put it back in place no problem but it leads me to think they will come off easy. another thing i noticed is that the ebay one, the "nexus" letters are chrome and the ones that actually come on the phone are silver.
good thing i got the ebay one to play with it. i'm going to end up painting it or something. haven't decided what yet.

The one I bought is fine and identical to my OEM one that I took off my phone. I can post a side by side if you would like. It could be a different supplier for the back or something because most people have had good experiences with the ones from eBay. I'm not saying there aren't bad ones out there but I received a good one.

yeah it looks like it fits just fine.
i'm currently using a slickwraps wood skin on my stock one.
I want to paint the ebay one, i just dont know what color or what.
