Has anybody seen or found anything to enable 1080P recording on 2.3.4? I liked having the option in previous builds.

What option in previous builds? Stock Atrix doesn't have a 1080p option.
If you are referring to the olympuscamera.apk which was posted, this was proven to be 24fps with a smaller file size than 30fps on the stock 720p. This means what you were getting may have appeared to be 1080p, but there was definitely data not being captured, as the file sizes were too small.
What puzzles me is why people want record at 15fps with stretched out 720p to 1080p?
Seriosly...
Guess i didn't do my homework on that one. Thanks for the help and information.
I've done some testing on cm7 with lgcamera and the stock cm7 camera at 720p and 1080p. 1080p recording always results in 22fps no matter what you set the fps to. 720p runs nice and smooth at 30fps. I monitor and analyzed the framerate and bitrate using kmplayer. So my question is. How do we get a nice smooth 720p image on 1080p recording while maintaining at least 24fps? Also on cm7 beta how do we edit the stock camera parameters? since they don't exist in the build.prop?

There is any app or hack or mod that allow the s2 to record at higher framerate and reduced resolution?
Like 240fps and 320x240.
Or maybe 120fps @ 640x480
It would be very nice and funny
I think a dev can modify a rom to make it works.
Never heard of this
sorry
hope it helped
I hope this hasn't been posted, but apparantly the Droid Razr supports 480p video recording @ 120fps!
Can anybody confirm this and if possible post a video sample? Can't find anything related on Google/Youtube and am really excited at the thought of slow motion at DVD quality!
BTW, I don't own a RAZR, I was just curious.
Thanks!
Have it, doesn't appear in camera app.
Modded a special file (build.prop) in order to enable it, phone thinks it's recording 120fps but the file ends up at 15 fps normal speed
Although you can set the camcorder to 720 x 480 (DVD Quality) mode, it does not say at what framerate the video records. Not sure how you would be able to tell.

When you enable 120 fps recording in the build.prop file, the camera app shows "slow mo" and "fast forward" as two "scenes"
Which, again, doesn't actually work. Need some other camera app or it's missing from kernel :/
So how to get it working?
I've currently installed NeatRom 4.7 Lite. Everything is fine except for the video mode of the standard camera app.
Camera mode is ok as well, but when switching to video mode, the zoom factor seems to change, everything is bigger and I'm unable to record a good video without moving backwards.
Please have a look at the attached screenshots.
Anyone else with this problem?
Anyone with a solution to this?
Thank you.

It's not a problem it happens because of the changes in resolution, in photo mode 8 megapixel capture is at resolution 3264x2448, and max resolution for video recording is 1920x1080.
Edit :If you don't want to step back you can reduce video recording resolution to like 640x480, but the recorded videos will not be good for watching in a big screen.

I was using CheckRom v6 before (Android 2.3.6) and never mentioned anything like this, screen detail was the same in camera and video mode.
Has this something to do with Jelly Bean or only with NeatRom?
Do you know any alternative video recording app?

Well in max resolution(full HD recording) any kind of zooming is not allowed but in lower resolution zooming is there, and I don't remember about gb, but this is common in all my Jellybean device's.
Edit ;So what I mean is since zooming is fixed it's kinda at max zoom, and I am using NeatRom with this device and other jb versions on other devices.

That was my point.
Zoom factor seems to be at max level, whereas it was at min level on GB.
But good to know, that this not a NeatRom failure.
Do you know of an alternative video recording app?
This is a trick used by samsung because we can record on 30fps it crops the image for achiving target fps u cant do anything ..... hardware limitation

I don't know any good ones that record video at full HD, I myself use Camera Zoom FX for multiple camera features, and for video recording they use the stock recorder, and as far as I know the stock video recorder app is referred to as the best, for your problem if you are willing to sacrifice full HD, reducing the resolution to the one just below(1280x720) is also pretty neat since we can play with zooming levels to our desire, I myself find it more comfortable to use.

:good:
Thank you for your answers. Maybe the resolution was set to 1280x720 on CheckROM v6 / Android 2.3.6, so I didn't notice such a difference.
Switched to 1280x720 and now it is ok.
I use Camera Zoom FX for a long time and agree, that it is the best photo solution.
I just tried this app from store and 4k recording works with that.. you might find it slightly laggy at times but do try it and report
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marginz.snap
it's a paid app... enable advance settings and select resolution and other options from videos tab
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055140
you guys can also try the app by downloading from the app thread but it would work only when offline

Great ! Thanks
Excellent. The only thing we need to do is to figure out if it's real 4K or just 1080p upscaled to 4k.
Can you do 1080p 60fps?

Nope. Even the 4K video is at a variable framrate so not of any great use as the frame rate changes from 15-25. I guess we'll have more access to camera functions once Android L comes out as it is supposed to have API's that give better control of the camera.
The option for 60fps is available for both 1080p and even 4k, but not for 720p for some reason.
How do i record at 720p 60fps?
there is none. Stop looking and just use 1080p.

1080p takes too much space. Is there any camera app or modification that can do [email protected]? 30fps is too "slow".

Open Camera is probably the best option
Enormously customisable - allows very low res pics and videos, if that's your thing

Tried it, but it records 30fps at 720p even when 60fps is selected. I am rooted so open to system modification
same with me here.... searching for same answer 720p60fps
There are some gcams that support this. Unfortunately there's still no eis at 60fps even at 720p
