If you have recovery you could just download a kernel using your phone on wifi and flash it. Then download setcpu and create profiles. That saves a lot of battery

Download biffmod and then the update file from clockwork recovery. Do the three button trick to get into recovery mode and hit reinstall packages. From there you can flash the rom.

Your better off going back to 2.1 and gain root access that way. But that's just me

Most likely your problems are due to the fact that you have not installed/flashed the best
and most error free custom rom available for our phones.
Here is a link for the very best custom rom available for our phones.
UnNamed v1.0.4 custom rom can be downloaded here: update-unnamed-v1.0.4-full.zip
Before flashing be sure you do a "wipe data/factory restore" in CWM recovery.
If you need the step by step instructions for flashing it,
here is the link for that too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299474
(be sure to follow ALL the step by step instructions to a "TEE" for trouble free results.)
Good Luck!
I dont have custome roms installed because I dont know hot to install them in GSII

Did you ever had a look at the thread. Your answer is just in the first post. It took me less time to skim fast through the OP than it possibly took you to answer in this thread.
If you would have listened to TheSaw and learned reading you would be running CM7 without the need of making threads.
Yep....u r rite....sry....I'm too lazy...but I did studied. Now I know how to install cm7. Thanku. But I have one doubt hws the battery backup with cm7...any major bugs...?? Shall I go for cm7...??

No, stay well away, because chances are you'll fill the forums with more useless threads if you do.

Blackbird v1.2-beta1 question about kernel

First off; this isn't an official discussion thread on blackbird at all just a question on kernel...my question is..can I use any other kernel other than stock kernel on this rom without getting an error message while trying to enable wifi..I've attempted to use tb1.1/1.2/1.2-hotfix
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Also I can't seem to find the stock bootanimation file..its usually under system/media...I was going to add my own personal bootanimation,as I've simply done with 85% of the roms I've used ?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
bump
i am using the stock kernel which came with the rom but this rom is too sluggish.. its fast but shutters a lot.
