[Q] Problems with Thgo2v14 rom - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Ive a few bugs using this Rom,and hoping someone knows the answers.....
Im using 2.6.29n-1 kernel and my phone is an X10i
1.cant view google street view=getting force close error
2.occasionally get thrown off t-mobile network,and when I do,the option
to choose a network has disappeared in the mobile network settings.I
can only choose something when yellow triangle appears at top of screen bar.
3.my phone is an X10i,the model is now listed as SO-01C.Which model do I treat the
phone as,Im having trouble with drivers for computer, and cant pass apps from
pc to phone via market as it says I dont have a recognized device
Apart from these bugs-I like it

the n1 kernel sucks, i get the same errors like you, and the batery drain is massive... flash doomkernel v6 everything works fine here, and batery life is far better....

Thanks Patrik,I had to reflash everything and Ive put Galaxy rom with stock kernel back on.I had the bootloader unlocked, but now its locked.
Does anyone know if Ive got to install xrecovery as an app,as well as through rooting.I cant seem to unlock the bootloader,it just hangs when I try it.When I try to install xrecovery as an app, sometimes I get the green ticks, but mostly I get the red circle presumably meaning its not worked.
This may be stopping the final bit of the bootloader getting unlocker as the phone is still recognized?

for the SO-O1C part, it has something to do with the build.prop. ask other pros out there on how to change the build.prop from SO-O1C to X10i

how do I restore my phone to stock using SEUS or PCC from this ROM? My phone has some kind of locked itself, SEUS and PCc keep telling me that there is no update for my phone. I just want to restore it ffs.
What to do?
Model: SO-01C
Running: ThGo2_v14.0_Th_Kernel
Baseband: 2.1.71
Kernel-Version: 2.6.29-n1

You want to repair it using se suite.Mines had the same problem and eventually it started the repair and it loaded the stock stuff. Then I stuck on the Galaxy rom,but I wouldnt advise anyone to use that as the thread started a year ago and several links are dead and its impossible to suss out which rom to load first.

1. Unisntall maps and street view from system using any root app. Reinstall map an street view from market.
If you face same problem, clear data in settings, application section.
2. It may be a network issue.
3. Open build.prop using root explorer. Edit the following :
ro.product.model=so01c
ro.product.model=X10i
Or
Flash the generic build.prop from thjaps thread.

Thanks milton, but Ive had enough.Im running galaxy rom with stock kernel and locked bootloader-it works and Im keeping it at that.
Anything else I try to do is a complete disaster.
Im not on here to criticise anything, but Im not going to read 1000 posts then switch to Doomkernel v06,only to find theres a problem that needs my phone to be put back on stock stuff. Then find I cant restore the stuff I backed up with Titanium pro, because system has changed from the system that was backed up.
Funnily enough, the week Ive spent reading stuff and trying it,I could have worked and got the cash to buy a Sumsung Galaxy S2.
Thanks to the people that tried to help and replied, and good luck everyone....youll certainly need it.

Here is what i use,and something more....
1.suggest us doomkernel v6,is really good with ThGo2 rom
2.i upload my build.prop file which i already change to X10iView attachment build.rar
3.don't know if you already fing there is a white line under miui player and i fix it file is attachedView attachment 901170

Help! Tried to rebrand X10i...

Hey. I tried to rebrand my Xperia X10i so that it would update the Build Number to R1FA016 or something so that my battery life would improve. Thing is the only thing that I can see that changed was that it changed to X10a.
Now.. my 3G does not seem to be working either.
Does anyone know how I can basically put everything back to normal? I saved everything like my contacts, messages and apps onto my memory card beforehand, so does anyone know how I can reinstall the applications once my phone is back to normal?
Thanks, I really want to get this fixed... soon!
Thanks again, ManUtdRul3.
To get back to x10i I suggest looking at the thread that begins with decrypted roms. I think all you need to do is flash it bak. Maybe you might want to look into rooting it afterwards.. but that's all upto you!!
As for backup you can use mybackup to help save most of the important stuff. Just one warning.. when you restore apps back to phone the market won't show updates unless you manually instal them.. not sure about any work around but I'm all ears if there is lol
Hope it helps!!
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Thank you, I will try to do this tomorrow and I will get back to you.
Any other advice will be very welcome!
Ahh! I tried using Omnius to flash my phone, but know when it starts up, it comes up with a Yellow Triangle and Exclamation Mark!
Can somebody give me actual steps to take to be able to:
1) Allow me to actually use the phone (remove the symbol on startup)
2) Change my phone back to X10i so that I can use it like I used.
Help over MSN would be great, if possible...
Thanks :/

[HELP!] Xperia x10i is stuck on "Sony Ericsson" logo

I may have posted in the wrong section and before you say there are topics covering this ive tried everything and im at my wits end!
I had a custom 2.2 ROM loaded on my Xperia for months but due to battery life issues i decided to upgrade to 2.3 (Wolf's) without doing much research.. Had i learnt that i needed to upgrade xRecovery to the latest release i wouldnt be in this dilemma.
I did the usual stuff when loading a new ROM but when loading the 2.3.3 ROM it failed.
Now when the phone starts up i get nothing but the SE logo!
Ive tried reflashing.
Ive tried using SEUS/PCC to update my phone - Which to no avail will the program recognize my phone for longer than 10 seconds.
Ive also tried SeTool2 and cant get my head around that.
If anyone has a fast easy fix for an idiot like me please point me in the right direction!
Should also add that i cant access xRecovery.
I am not trying to highjack this post but i am in the same position my phone is stuck in a loop on the black screen with the se logo.Flash tool or the se update service "sees" it for about 10 seconds not long enough to do anything. Please can anybody help?
A quick update i have sorted it i left it on se update and some how it went in to repair mode and i now have a working x10 again. The se repair didnt seem to be doing anything it just said please wait but i switched it on and it worked now i have to root it again lol
I think you should flash stock ROM 2.1 via flashtool, root and flash Xcr. Afterwards, you can follow the WOLF's instructions to flast TW ROM. Remember flash baseband .71
So i tried those things and still havn't gotten anywhere!
I cant flash the only thing i can do with flashtool is change the baseband and thats not very helpful to me atm!
I just wish there was an easy fix but apparently there isnt

Read Wolf's thread!!!
You HAVE to change the baseband, otherwise it won't work! You need baseband .71, which is included in the flashtool package he says to use...

[Q] WIFI keeps searching and didn't find anything.

Hi mates!
Few months back I unlocked my bootloader and recently used many custom ROMs and kernels. Unfortunately I could not use my wifi properly - I was on FreeXperia kernel and at very start wifi worked ok, but it stopped finding any networks after couple days of rom usage. Problem was reported on the Android Development sections in the ROM thread by many users, so I thought it will be fixed soon. Couple days ago I switched to DoomKernelv3, his wifi modules and Oodies MIUI ROM - worked perfectly but my wifi worked occasionally and stopped working again. I got back to stock now and I'm on Z's Recovery (very first one I used and had no wifi problems) and problem with no wifi networks still persists. Did I brick my wifi somehow? Is it possible? Does anybody experienced similar problem?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
hey
honestly... i think there is a hardware problem in your phone....
cuz even after switching rom's you still have the same problem....
i would sugggest that your use seus and get back to stock version... and just get it fixed by them.....just keep saying them that wifi doesnt works and all.....

VOILA....

it does lock.... coz every-time i got f'd while flashing i used seus and had to unlock the boot-loader every-time.... even though i checked with s1 tool first if the boot-loader was locked or not....
any way if you r on stock rom... those repair guys... wont even notice that you flashed the device
Hi!
I have had the same problem as you. Still after repairing it in PC Companion, the problem was still there.
So I left the phone for couple of days because I got Xperia S, and when I turned it on one day and searched for WiFi networks, it finally found some networks!!!
I don't know what 'fixed' it, but I think it's a hardware issue and I was going to get it repaired until it fixed itself

I repaired the system with SEUS, no Recovery or root available anymore. I assume bootloader is locked back. Wifi works same way as it worked. Is there some wifi debug software to figure out what is going on?
Anyone?

[Q] Blank Screen After Flashing Custom ROM

I have been visiting this site ever since I first read about X10 & was fascinated by it (I have always loved SE phones). Anyway, I have since gotten an X10i (AT&T) & have de-branded it as well as unlocking & rooting it. Here goes:
I installed Champs' Rom (x10sV9-addon) but didn't want all the clutter he had pre-installed. To make a long story short, I went back to Wolf's ROM via Xrecovery but something went wrong. I can no longer boot into Xrecovery & after SonyEricsson logo, screen goes blank, not black/blue just blank. The other problem is, since I can't see the screen, I can't turn on the USB connection so my PC/Flashtool/SEUS can recognize my device so I can fix it. This happened while trying to re-install Wolf's ROM & installing the following zip files via Xrecovery: Bravia_Xloud engine, Xperia S Player, Champ + Bar, x10_gb_stock_wifi_modules. Then I rebooted & I get the blank screen. I know it is on because I can turn the volume all the way down to vibrate. The "home" button still lights up. PLEASE, I need someone's help with this one as I am no expert, just a moderate tinkerer. ANY help/incite would be appreciated. Sorry, I can't even give you any screenshots. Can anyone out there help me out? Thanx in advance.

RE: Blank Screen After Flashing Custom ROM
Thanx for getting back to me so fast. As I said, the screen is blank. That is, the backlit display works but I can see nothing else. The "Home" button lights up when i press it but the display does nothing. If/When I reboot to try to enter XRecovery, I see the SonyEricsson logo followed by the backlit screen & nothing else. The Volume up/down buttons work as I am able to silence the phone by turning volume all the way down to vibrate. Because I cannot see what's on the display, I cannot turn USB on/off to connect to PC to run SEUS/Flashtool, etc. I.E. I cannot fix the device. Usually I just boot into XRecovery to fix a problem like this but that doesn't work.
x10
hy, install sony update service and repair your phone, then install again custom rom, the indications how to repair your phone software is in the program.
Best regards

I wish I had gotten this solution sooner. Not sure if it would have mattered. When trying to use Flashtool I kept getting an error saying my phone was not in "flash mode".
I solved my problem by flashing using Omnius & flashing firmware 'X10i_generic_SE_24_MultiTouch.rar'. This got my phone back but it was only 2.1 so I used 'DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su' to get me back to 2.3, but this is where I'm at. I had Wolf's firmware before but right now I have no xRecovery installed. I thought I had rooted my phone but xRecovery isn't installed nor is Busybox.. Any ideas? Thanx in advance...EVERYONE @ XDA-DEVELOPERS rox!

C if u can repair phone using SEUS now. Open the software without connecting phone. N then go to the update part. It should give u a repair option. Then follow those steps. Or else just connect ur phone n then start software. When it tells u ur phone is up to date click on that n then click on "repair". Then use the latest flashtool to root. Recoveries come with kernels so just flash a custom kernel.

Ur welcome i don't think u need help you just flashed a custom ROM.. the procedure for installing ICS is the same. Although it'd be better if you are on stock before installing it.. just look for an ICS ROM that u like (I'm using feralab n it works like a charm).
Get the kernel n ROM.. as usual, put the ROM zip on ur SD card, flash the kernel, install ROM from recovery
Although before installing:
1. In recovery go to mounts n storage
2. Format system data n cache
3. Mount system, data n cache (note that if the mounting is successful the options should change to unmount system, unmount data, unmount cache respectively)
4. Then install ROM
5. The installer is GUI based so it'll guide u really well through the installation

[Q] Xperia x10 not booting

Hi guys, sorry if there is already a thread about this but I'm travelling at the moment and don't have the time/wifi/computer to browse fully.
Anyway, my problem is my friends SE xperia x10 (not be mini or pro) had this problem where out of nowhere the Internet app just crashed as soon as it opened, and wouldn't even wait for you to click on the buttons for the error message, that just closed. Thinking it was probably just a ram error or whatnot, I rebooted it.
So now the phone turns on, goes passed the white SE logo onto the boot logo, and there it remains in a loop. I've tried looking around with Google and on here, but I can't seem to find the answer... I think.
The room isn't custom, it's just the stock branded gingerbread from virgin Australia.
It will connect with Flash tool, but it says usb debug is off, which I can't change, but on the current computer I've gained access to to I don't think it has MTP drivers so not sure if that would effect it.
I have also installed the companion suite, not useful.
Also installed the SEUS software, which I've had to do all of in safe mode cos the computers are slow as anything and have administration protection.
So, any advice would be awesome at this point. My friend wants to keep whatever is on there currently like her photos and contacts so on, but if there is no other way I'll have to re flash it if I can.
Any help greatly appreciated guys, thanks
Pictures are on SD Card, and they are safe. If he/she didn't backup Contacts earlier, they will be,for sure, erased with flashing new Rom.
If that phone was rooted, and have Xrecovery, than download some Rom (for flashing with Xrecovery), and put on SD Card. Then reboot in Xrecovery, first wipe everything (factory, cash), go to Partition Menu and Format System, Data and Cash. Then go back to Main menu, and choose Install custom zip from SD Card, find your downloaded Rom, and flash it.
If you don't have Xrecovery, or abovementioned solution didn't helped, I think that only solution is to reflash Stock Rom again with SEUS. If you can't use SEUS with your PC for flashing, find another PC.
