iphone rom for galaxy s2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I moved to galaxy s2 from iphone4 a while back and im missing the iphone ui.
Does anyone know any roms that are like or close to iphone.
Ive already tried miui with iphone theme but dont like it.

Hello
There are various launchers which are available on the Play store which have iphone themes.
I likes the Go Launcher iphone theme.
Thats the closest you can get to an iphone interface.
Cheers

Try Miui

User has specifically mentioned that he has tried MIUI rom and did not like it.

you could try espier launcher frmo the market!

Ive already got espier launcher but thats just a home screen replacement it is good but i want the other stuff such as messaging, contacts, dialer etc etc...
Miui does this but its unstable with lots of force closes on many things including settings.
Ive had go launcher before but not with the iphone theme (all themes seem to have the same layout on go launcher) yhanks anyway does anyone know if any developers are working on an iphone rom?

try out go launcher with the iphone theme!
cheers!

Go Launcher EX and GO Contacts and u have Android iPhone :'(

I know this dosen't answer your question but, you got an android phone now, its all about having the freedom to choose to modify the look and feel of the phone.
why would you want to stick with iphone layout which apple forces on you.

Here's the perfect combo for making your phone into an iPhone, IMO:
1 - ROM - MIUI
2 - Launcher - Espier
3 - Lockscreen - Magic Locker with iPhone Theme
4 - Notifications - iPhone Notifications.
I think this is the closest you can get your phone in to an iPhone. If that doesn't satisfy, then probably nothing will...

I already did that before this post but gotsick of it im now on checkrom awaiting checkrom ics

Tablet-friendly launcher

While I have a license for LauncherProPlus, it shows that it's not a launcher built for tablets. Neither are the most well-known ones like ADW or GO Launcher. Is there any good Launcher thought up for tablets? I only found anTab in the market, and though it does seem interesting (and no, it's not because of the wallpapers ), I'm reluctant to pay 5 euro for a launcher which can only be used in portrait mode.
looks like the 1.6 laucher and only portrait yuk!!
i use adw plus so you can customise it alot and with some good widgets you can make it work well. i like coulourize beause their big and scrollable and just work well on the big screen!
im using ADW Launcher EX, with the Gingerbread Blue Theme.
Very nice launcher! Smooth and so on.
And you can set it to landscape only.
Hey Guys I just posted up my new Tablet oriented launcher project over in the G-Tablet forums. Check it out! it might be what you are looking for. Should work great on the VEGA!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017451
It shows a lot of promise indeed, i've just installed it and it looks great. Looking forward for updates!
I love this.... using it for a day or 2 but no launcher is replacing this.
- is ther still room for an option in a way to keep it as fast as it is.
Your own custom icons ( like rocketdock ) no i.m not an apple lover i would have bought an ipad but i love to make it my own personal thingy.. lol
If it cant be done no problem i will love it anyway.
thank for making this.

Nova Launcher
Launcher Pro
ADW Launcher
GO Launcher EX
Launcher 7
Holo Launcher
Zeam Launcher
Regina 3D Launcher

Excuse me, can you make your sign bigger please? I have 3 monitor on my pc and i cannot read it, it's too small.
Thanks
Btw i still use the stock launcher. I really like the sony widgets. Sometimes i try a different launcher but after some minutes i switch back to the default one.

Yeah, 2 years ago, when I was using it, Launcher Pro was one of the best launchers. But now, it is still the same because it has not been updated for 1 year.
Still with stock launcher after 3 years and 3 Xperias

Yep sticking with the xperia stock launcher. It really is a nice looking one and I've tried others but always gone back to it.
Stock for sure! Love the theme, the distiction!

Stock Xperia!!:highfive:
Yeah, I love Xperia Home, too. It is probably the nicest launcher out there and it is also pretty fast with no lags.
In my view, Sony makes the most beautiful interface among all Android manufactures, while they keep the feel of the vanilla Android. Maybe their updates take a little bit longer but they are very well optimized and bring some additional features unlike Samsung, who keep the interface same and just update it to the newer version.

Sony is very original (design, ui, apps, Cosmic Flow, Floating Touch, White Magic etc.) and yet everything is absolutelly beautiful unlike Samsung, who copies almost everything from Apple (design, ui-touchwiz, s voice.....) and guess what....everything is ugly and worse. Sony also updated all of its 2011 phones, when tried to offer all of their features. Samsung offers new features only to their new Galaxy S series, when you have lower end phone and get update for GB to ICS it still looks the same. It is sad that they still hold most of the market, I wish Sony had more market share than Samsung because they try hard and they really deserve it.
Also what no one seems to notice but sony was the first to use the look of the notification draw icon in the middle with two apps either side of it. This interface was then adopted my google in the stock version of ICS and now other manufacturers have skinned their ICS skin to this look as well (HTC one series for example)

best launcher fos s3?

what do you prefer? which is the best and why is the best?

go launcher is laggy man
i use launcher pro as i think i purchased it for 10p ages ago and it allows me to shrink icons/ space etc so i can have more on my screen and more in the dock etc.
I still think apex or nova is superior, but 360 launcher is also nice and has some cool transitions
I bought Nova for nexus 7 and tried it on galaxy s3 and i must say I just missed touchwiz, I prefer touchwiz because of the elegant design, light and fastness

I'm really liking touchwizz myself. Never thought I would.
Samsung seems to have done something right with this version. I also tried pretty much every launcher there was. My favorite was apex until I got my GS3. but touchwizz just feels "right".

Same here. Would have been happily using the TW launcher if not for moving to CM ROMs.

Yes... when your launcher is so slow that it lags on a dual-core proc? Where is that uninstall button?
Apex launcher is the best. If your phone is rooted than you can use Titanium backup pro to convert the Apex Launcher apk to the SYSTEM APP and it will work perfectly fine and faster...
Try holo launcher hd plus its minimal and fast and absolutely no lag

360 launcher is indeed one of the best launcher I ever used, just so smooth but my gripe with it is the fact that it's not translated into English

Used since ICS Nova for my old S1 and for my new S3. Changed some weeks ago for TSF Shell.. Costs around ten bucks I think, but has several nice features (I love the folder option) and works flawlessy on S3 with livewallpaper. Doesn't suck so much battery as thought...
Personally I like the AOSP Launcher
The CM10 Trebuchet Launcher
Apex & Nova
As for TouchWizz the launcher isn't the problem, it's the ridiculous amount of crap that comes with it that slows down the device, well that and I can't move the Menu button to the middle like Stock Jelly Bean
But to be honest it's all down to personal taste, I prefer the Google Experience cause I use most of their apps, I have 0 time for the Samsung experience stuff. I mean seriously S-Voice over Google Now
For now i use Nova Prime. But from what little i have used TW in JB roms i will be using TW when official rom comes out.
But in the end it is all up to you!

Absolutely. The JB version is even nicer. This is the first version of TW I've actually preferred to use over third party launchers. It's really nice and very fast.
I use Apex and I'm very happy with it, no lag and nice features.
Look no further, might not be the most popular but is certainly one of,if not the best :good:

What's everyone using as a launcher?

Just curious if people prefer stock or a replacement launcher?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Nova.
I used ROM Cleaner to remove the sense launcher.
Ha I was also wondering this. Was just about to ask and saw this thread. I was wanting to make a sleek simple homescreen and someone said I couldn't change icons with stock launcher.
How easy is it to switch back and forth between launchers?
As easy as installing from the play store and running it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
But would it keep all the settings. Like could you set up two different launchers and have them set the way you want. Then just feel like going to a different look one day just because you feel like it lol.
Yes. A launcher is just an app like any other app. Settings get saved.
Nova, have used it since I got my Galaxy S2. Love it easy backup/restore change icons individually, and more!
Just installed Nova Launcher and gotta say its pretty cool. Here's what I created. Just two questions. Can nova launcher make the status bar clear? And I used simple text to change icons on the dock but it has black background behind the words. Can I make that clear somehow.
I use apex launcher and as nova
It's amazing, I had no trouble changing plenty of phones while keeping my layout

Action Launcher - allows minimalist approach, very fast to select apps. And Blink Feed app from appstore switches back into sense launcher so I can go back and forth.
Apex
This may be the perfect place to post this:
Does anyone know of a launcher (or can creat one) that is JUST the Sense 5 app drawer?
i.e: unlock your phone, and hit the app drawer button: THAT is ALL I want to see.

I've always liked the stock launchers over Nova, Apex, etc. Although I did enjoy them on CM roms on the One X when I had it. Usually I'm not a fan of stock Android. I've always much preferred the manufacturer skins.
