How to upgrade to Nokia DLOAD - Nokia Lumia 800

1. Download the file
2. Change the extension of the downloaded file. Zip (should happen: RM803_12w07_prod_generic_updated_nokia_osbl.zip)
3. Open the file. It should contain two files. We take out the file «nokia_osbl.mbn».

As far as I know you can update a Lumia 800 to DLOAD via the NCS. I'm not really sure why you would do this, though.

I am new in this field, but i you know a solution to DLOAD my lumia 800 with NCS, please share with me, cause i totally ignore how to do it. Thanks in advance

So, once upgraded to Qualcomm, if ever it needs to go back to Nokia DLOAD, just use these steps, am i right?
Good work, vova

Yes, please do elaborate. I'd like to convert the Qualcomm bootloader on my 800 to the DLOAD.

I have the QC bootloader on my phone and I'm having a heck of a time trying to upgrade it to the Tango update. I feel like it's the QC bootloader that's somehow blocking me from using NCS. I have a thread for my problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734174.
I think if I can get the DLOAD on my phone then it can get stock upgrades...but at this point, my phone is stuck with an old version with no upgrade path.

Details please
Hi as a noob I'm weak but wanabee smart Not to waste my phone. In the tuto, at the end when suppose to paste. Should it be over what's already there if so then we need to select from section 1001 and paste over or else. I'm really not sure how to paste it caus' HxD does not give me the 'Insert the replacement
Thanks

RM-809
Hi, this is my first post here and I want to solve one question
I can use this process on my Nokia Lumia 710 RM-809?
I am from Brazil and here only sold the RM-809, branded ou unbranded.
Thanks

NCS doesn't recognize my phone
I upgraded to DLOAD from Qualcomm based on your instructions. That went well. But even now, Nokia Care Suite doesn't recognize my phone. I want to flash latest roms and don't need modded roms. Please let me know as to how I can do this. TIA
Edit: NM, I was able to do it.

6. Run as Administrator HxD. Click the "Advanced -> Open Disk." My phone number appears in the program as a "Removable Disk 1."

hmm...Still no way to downgrade to Qualcomm?

hi
same as someone posted earlier
i cant seem to paste anything over the old file
i dont want to delete something i shouldnt
can anybody help?

answered my own question
i missed the bit where it said read only and untick

How do i insert replacement? I dont see the option under right click.
I am running HdX as admin and unchecked read only. I can see the option when in the downloaded file but on the phone side it is grayed out.

Can you explain better...
12. At the beginning of the sector in 1001, about the letters «0B 00" right click and click 'Insert the replacement. "
no image of this should i overwrite "0B 00" with all file's content, insert before "0B 00" or overwrite all the content of the sector 1001?
Thanks for the help
PS: no "insert the replacement" option. only paste/write

Sorry but... what is the difference between DLOAD and Qualcomm? Is one of those "better"? thanks.

Force the new 12072 update on Lumia 800

Hi guys, if you are like me and didn't receive the new 12072 update yet, it's very easy to force it on your Lumia 800. I did it this morning, and my phone is locked and branded, and everything went well, so here is how to make it.
First, grab the update http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/dflt/2012/04/oemupdate.cab.pks_98ed59ede38f0bd78d153d984fcb96e119de2ccd.cab. It's a cab archive, so don't extract it, just leave it as it is.
Then download this tool and install the x32 or x64 version according to your configuration.
Now download this one and simply extract it in a folder. Connect your Lumia to Zune and wait for the sync process to end. Close Zune. Put the .cab file in the same folder than the tool called WP7 cab sender, at the root of the file "WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat", it's important.
Launch the batch file "WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat", an msDos window should open, asking you to choose a letter for an option: choose the option of your choice but don't forget to make a backup before installing the new update.
Then you only have to wait for the backup / update to end. Don't close the MS-DOS window before the end of the process. It's done, your phone is now running the new update.

Well technically its a command prompt and not a "MSDOS" I update mine a few minutes ago. The whole procedure with backup should take about 20 minutes.
Yup. And the Volume bug does indeed seem to have disappeared
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Big Yes,
it seems to fix the volume bug, which was a big issue for me.
For the rest, I don't know; I only have had it for 5 minutes!
Thank u a lot,the bug audio disappear now
Thanks for instructions/link.
Easy update, everything working.
Seems that the audio bug (using the headset during a call) disappeared for me too.
does this mess with the bootloader at all?
can't w8 to try it~~~
Just got the update today, Vodafone, Netherlands.
(Pre-ordered Lumia 800 from Vodafone webstore)
Thank God for this site.. The did the links and instructions from Mobiletechworld.com and the cab sender refused to see the update.
Used the ones in this post and the update went PERFECTLY!

You must extract the archive called WP7+Update+Cab+Sender.zip.
This will create a folder called the same name: WP7+Update+Cab+Sender.
Place your cab archive inside this folder, just where is located the file called WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat
Run this batch file and select option number one, "S ·(S)end Cabs to device"
The update should then start.
I PRESS S THEN ALL I GET IS BELOW MESSAGES
moving files to log directory
cleaning usless files
done
press any key to continue
so i press s nothing happens get above message again

Ok try this: double-clic on the folder called "Tools", then on x64 or x86 according to your configuration. Launch then the file "UpdateWP.exe".
Back in the folder "WP7+Update+Cab+Sender", double-clic on "if needed install this tool", then on "x64" (64 bits) or "x86" (32 bits) according to your config. Finaly, launch "Setup-UpdateWP-x64/x86.exe".
Votre ordinateur est paré pour la mise à jour.
Just did my second cab sender update. Why are operators so slow when it comes to these things? I mean, it's a minor update, isn't it? Thank you.
PS: I had someone call me while listening to music; no longer shock therapy. Everything seems fine now
Thank you for the easy to follow post on how to update.
Having too tried to follow instructions posted elsewhere, and failed, managed to update quickly and easily this time.
does forcing this update wipe all your apps/messages etc?

I'm guessing it means "Operating System Boot Loader"
As the QC one is already unlocked, I assume this must be for the DLOAD one ?
Hi Dewe,
Is It possible use this software, for install a custom rom? If yes, how?
And if yes, It's possible to have a complete guide (for example, I downloaded a rainbow rom, and then...)

By default NSS is saving the Nokia DLOAD when you are replacing it by the QLOAD. You have a restore button that make you go back.
Never tried, but should work. (Since it doing exactly the same operation (rewrite the bootloader) with another one).
Don't forget it's ONLY for Nokia Lumia 710.
As explained in the guide :
For an 800, only a device showing up as Qualcomm can be unlocked.
A DLOAD in 800 cannot be unlocked as yet.

[Q] Lumia 920: Red screen, white logo, "Product in Flash Mode"

I just received a replacement for my dead Lumia 920. Upon attempting to update the firmware to the latest version, it failed and now boots only to a red screen with a white Nokia logo. I can connect it to the PC, but the device isn't detected as a Lumia 920. I can open the Product for the 920, but the connection bit shows "USB1: Product in Flash Mode". Neither attempting to start the flash nor trying to do the "Refurbish" mode works at all.
Any ideas or is it a dead duck?
Thanks!
Sounds dead to me. All the ways to fix it seems to have been killed such as a new flash or using NCS over USB. Seems you may need to take it in, hop e you got a warranty on it.

It's still under the factory warranty. Why do you think a new flash has been killed? I flashed another Lumia 920 just a few days ago and it worked fine.
Well, good fortune had the local AT&T warranty center with one in stock, so I just went down and swapped it out.
This is my fourth 920. I won't be buying another Nokia.

That happened to mine, but it was because I accidentally flashed the wrong ROM from navifirm. Once I downloaded and flashed the correct ROM, phone booted up and ran just fine.

Things you need:
1. Latest version of Nokia Suite (version 2013_13_4_4 download from Nokia site)
2. usergroupsconfiguration.cfg file
You can download the ‘usergroupsconfiguration.cfg’ file from HERE
Alternate LINK to both files.
Installation:
1. First install Nokia Suite. Do not run after the installation is finished.
2. After Nokia Suite installs, copy and replace the usergroupsconfiguration.cfg file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if you’re running a 64-bit version of Windows. Or C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if on 32-bit.
Running Nokia Suite and Downloading the firmware:
1. Open Nokia Suite. And select ‘Product Support Tool For Store 5.0′
2. When prompted, select ‘CareSuite External’ then hit ‘Sign-in’ button.
3. From the Menu, select Tools, then ‘Firmware Download’
4. Now enter the product code of your device, hit ‘Check Online’ button, to check the latest firmware version of your product code.
5. Then ‘tick’ ‘Optional Content Files and ‘Download’ to save your firmware.
6. Wait a few minutes for your files to download
7. You may now manually flash your Nokia device with the firmware you just downloaded.
TIP:
- Your firmware should be stored in the C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products folder of your hard drive.
- If you need to download a different firmware version for the same product code, I suggest you wait for your first download to finish, save all the downloaded files in a marked folder, then proceed with your next download.
- Partial List of Nokia Lumia product codes.

How to update LG Leon H340N to Android M and Unlock the Bootloader

How to update LG Leon H340N to Android M and Unlock the Bootloader
1. The first thing that you need to do is to download the following zip-archive, it contains all the tools that you need + the actual firmware file:
https://mega.nz/#!QgwDHYpB!7TCpc0_ycqjMimhFkHe3yq172tfu__8XIXRJxoxOYHQ
2. After downloading and extracting the archive, run the file named "LG-Mobile-Driver_v4.0.4.0.exe" as administrator, follow the instructions on the screen.
3. Turn off your phone and then hold the volume up button while plugging in the USB-cable to your computer, the phone should enter download mode.
4. Navigate to the folder named LG Flash Tool 2014, open the file named "LGFlashTool2014.exe". When the software is open, change the type to "3GQCT", the phone mode to "Emergency" and then select the .KDZ-file named "H340n20A_00_0512.kdz", then click the button "Normal Flash".

}
5. A popup will now appear with the title "Read Phone Information", press the button "Start".
6. A new window should now be visible with the title "Select Country & Language", press the button "Clear phone Software update Registry". In the box country, select "Different Country", then in the box language select your language. Then press OK.
7. The firmware should now be flashed over onto your phone, it may take a few minutes and the phone will automatically reboot when it's done.
How to unlock the bootloader after flashing the firmware:
Open "Settings" and then go to "About Phone", then click on "Software info", then tap on the entry "Build info" a few times till developer mode is enabled. Then go back and enter "Developer options", then active "Enable OEM unlock"
First question:
Don't we have to do something after enabling OEM unlock? I mean, I think it's just enable the unlocking itself. After that we can do it via fastboot commands (fastboot oem unlock). Am I right?
Second question:
LG's site says that unlocking is irreversible. But there is a command to do that: fastboot oem lock. Or it isn't working on LG devices?
Can you use this .kdz file on any LG Leon H340n phone? I my current is V10g. That wouldn't be a problem?

I'm having the same issue as well, but it's nothing to worry about and isn't that annoying either way.

Trying this out on my 345, will post results ASAP,
Edit: Phone bricked, I do not suggest doing this on the T-Mobile Leon phone, I also am responsible of everything that happened to the phone, and thanks, nonetheless.

On my ms345 it did, but I lose my radio in the process. No signal.
My h345 went utter apesh*t and I'm afraid to try again.
I can confirm, this works on H340AR.
Q
Is there any way to flash TWRP recovery in 6.0 without rooting after enabling OEM Unlock?
Worked on EE UK H340n running 5.0.1 -- does not offer option to use SD as internal storage but I am going to try a factory reset and see if this changes
---------- Post added at 04:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 PM ----------
Still the same, after factory reset it only offers the option of portable storage, not format as internal... why is doing this?
Ok - factory reset doesn't work, but there is a way, needed to use adb, have to use this method from a post about a samsung phone here: I am unable to post ext links, search for bgr galaxy-s7-edge-tips-microsd-adoptable
install adb,
sm list-disks to list the disks
sm partition disk:179,64 private
where 179,64 is the name of my disk from the results of the sm-list disks command
now it works as internal storage for data and apps
