Where can I find a Three UK ROM? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Stupidly I never made a backup of my official ROM, and now I'm thinking I should try and get hold of one, in case the phone ever needs to go back.
Any ideas where I can find this specific ROM? I know that when I used to have HTD phones, the ROMs used to get leaked left right & centre, and you could get hold of any service provider ROM for any country quite easily.

I found one on samsungs firmware downloads.

Thanks, my specific ROM (Three UK) doesn't seem to be on the list, gone through it a couple of times but can't see it.
Nonetheless, the link you sent is an impressive resource and I'm sure lots of people will be glad to see it:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300
Thanks!

Is this the one you're looking for?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=4679

http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9300&r=1#regiona
I believe the one your looking for is th 17th from botton UK H3G
edit:- nvm ratsalad got there 1st lol

Hi
Try www.samfirmware.com
I got mine from there under the name: I9300H3GALE4 united kingdom (H3G)
Got from there as I unrooted my phone
Hope it helps you

Thank you all, you are all correct. I missed the H3G one from the link that brersam initally provided me since I didn't know exactly what I was looking for - most them had a popup description when I mouse-overed.
Right that's given me some peace of mind, thanks all

Need My Original Kernel
Hi there, I am newbie here, actually i was wondering. I have tried many times browsing on googles but it seems that my hard work is being wasted. I root my samsung galaxy s2 GT-i1900G using odin v1.85 with GT-I9100G_DZKI1 inscure by odia..
the thing is, i want to root back to my original..meaning i want to unroot it..how can i unroot back?
i 1st was trying to find the original kernel which is I1900G_DZKJ2 (kernel version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2)
My plan was to find the original kernel and root it back as i did before so it would back to the original 1.
Is it what am i doing is correct?
p/s: I root using odin..how should i unroot back using odin and if what am i saying on top is correct, where can i get the original kernel for the specification given above?
Thx,
Newbie

Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore are all in the same region. Msia's CSC should be XME. So far the newest 2.3.6 firmware for asia is DXKL3 and only available for Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Or nearer the truth, they take a nice backhander from the networks so they can say that it's better to get your new phone with a contract with us then spend your money on a sim free phone...!

If you're really that bothered you would have flashed another region. Or even flashed O2 LP3, Which, if you use Intratechs version is as good as Unbranded.
I gave up waiting and put the Poland LPS on yesterday, works fine and has the UK (XEU) and CPW UK (CPW) csc's in it anyway.
Does seem like they have poo pood the early adopters. Eaten bread is soon forgoton.

I must admit, I was wondering the same thing.
I've got stock 2.3.4 phone, don't want to root really, just want to update to ICS but everytime I check it's not there. I'm confused I must admit as I thought it was being rolled out.
you dont need a sim free version, theres nothing wrong with the current leaks.
just install one of those and your good to go.
why not to root it?
much easier to use anything on it.
even my manager when he saw my rom and soft i got inside he gave me the phone and said: 'do the same with mine'
I've even unlocked his phone and he is very happy
in case you can always come back to original
Has anyone else got this yet? The sim free UK ICS that is?
I don't get it, am I doing something wrong, everytime I check it says no update yet

Why are you posting this message on here, this has been discussed many times and this is XDA, why not just flash yourself a ICS rom they work perfectly fine.
Samsung have said that sim free will get it after all carriers have started to push it out and not all of them have.

ICS rolling out in Europe? Really?

Hi Folks,
i just had a look on the german samsung facebook page.
I asked about news regarding the ics release date for the i9100g.
They pointed me to an answer they gave last wednesday.
They told us, that ICS for the i9100g is actually rolling out in other european countries. (others than germany)
My Question now is: can ANYBODY confirm this?
I'm afraid i know the answer right now ... So please - tell me that I'm wrong
no usable ics for i9100G.
updates:

Ics its not released yet.
Just wait and be patiently...
Samsung its busy with the sgs3

It's possible if there are some country codes that we don't know yet, unlikely though.
i know that is isn't released yet - that was why i'm wondering about the answer i got via facebook - and i just want to verify it.
So we can summarize: Samsung Germany is definitely not telling the truth
Carphone warehouse UK is rolling out ics with the i9100 very very soon. I work for them so i can confirm this

Dude, this is not a questions forum or a forum you have any business posting topics in.
Use the General or Q&A forum. There is even a dedicated G variant Q&A stickied to top of thsi forum, It doesnt take a genius to work out where you should be posting, Just take a look at the topics in the dev forum, does yours resemble anything remotely like those?
hm - so i'm wrong here ... cool
had a look into the mentioned q+a sticky ... looks more than a dev-sticky ...
anyway ... if you are that rule-fixed - simply delete my thread and ignore the "news" - seems nobody is interested in a new / other ics leak than the chinese one ...
thanks for the warm welcome! *thumbsup*

If you want to post "news" put it into the correct section and you may get a better "welcome".
Common sense dictates that when you visit a forum you look for the most appropriate forum for your topic. If you had done that you would have quickly noticed that this specific forum is for developments from devs and not for questions or non-dev topics. This is why we also have dedicated general and QUESTIONS forums.

Bull****
Stupid rumor. Why do they shouldn't release ICS in Germany but ex. in UK should ? LOL. Btw, ICS is still unavailable at all, maybe some test versions in Asia. When ICS will be officially available, then absolutely in all countries.

If we talk about the I9100G, then ICS is not released at all for that model. Sooner or later it will. Just need to wait an official update in Kies or sammobile.com. P.S. if your question is about the G model, then post it in right section, cuz i'm distracted...

[Q] new newbie GS3

Good afternoon gentlemen.
I recently picked up a GS3 here in Thailand. Man I like this phone. I rooted it, have clockwork mod and Titanium backup. Been familiarizing myself with these and some other settings. Cant put it down lol.
I live 6 mos in Thailand and 6 mos in USA. I plan to bring this phone to America and use it there in summer. Any tips on that would be appreciated.
Model # is GT-I9300
Android Ver. 4.1.1
Kernel Ver. 3.0.31-288630
Been thinking of flashing a rom or two also. Are there ones that would work here in Thailand as well as the U.S.?
Will my version of Jellybean work in the us if I do nothing?
Thanks in advance.
Jim
Yeah, depends on the carrier. Check what US carrier supports your phone's frequencies, and you should be fine. T-Mobile should work
And don't create duplicate threads.
