How to know my original Kernel Version? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I just rooted my SGS2 using the following kernel: CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5, the problem is forgot to write down my original data, so is there a way to know it?
and does rooting the phone also changes the Build Number and Baseband Version?
Here is my current data:

Well I'm afraid the kernel I used won't be compatible with the phone, isn't that right?
I'm sorry I'm new to this

If you want to unroot all you have to do is go to www.sammobile.com and download the stock firmware and flash through Odin. You will get your stock Kernel back. So don't worry, try some aftermarket kernels

if it isn't compatible, the phone won't turn on, or pass the Samsunggalaxy GT-I9100 screen. so don't be afraid. just in case, and to be safe, if your phone is working OK right now, you should make a nandroid backup in CWMR (volumeup+home button+power button). and then you can mess with anything you want (except stock kernels made from 9 of july of 2012 to now) and there will be almost no problems
you can try any kernel...not every kernel works fine in terms of battery life and hardware manage. even though is the one that came with your custom rom. the same is for modem(baseband)

thanks also i dont want this to be seen as mean but i find the search here useless i will search for a term say "battery" and say search by topic name and i will get pretty much every thread on the site almost none of which have the word i was looking for in the topic title
this might help too..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828163
When searching try using a few words like "switching rom", I usually find it ok.. but occasionally takes me a few attempt to pick out the right keywords!

Is this the stock kernel and everything else?

Trying to figure out why when I try to make a call my SIM disables itself and the phone freezes.
I flashed back to stock....I think, but want to make sure.

Hmm, baseband version should be I777UCKH7, right?
dude, thats weird, your base band version does not identify your phone as the att variant of the galaxy s 2.
my att gs2 reads i777uckh7 instead of your i1900
You have i9100 modem according to that screen cap - that would be causing your connection problems

Stock is UCKH7 - you've got a bogus modem.
I just posted the stock modem in another thread in General, I'll be posting it to dev later tonight once I do some investigation into flashing methods for it. I've seen some indications that CWM-flashing of modems on our device is a bad idea but I'm not sure.
Just posted a modem package to my return-to-stock thread in the first post.
Tested in heimdall, odin not tested.

How do I know if I have a stock or custom ROM/kernel?

I bought my US SGP 5.0 (YP-G70) second hand and have no idea if it has a stock ROM. However, I want to try other ROMs. I really like how stable my current setup is and would like to be able to come back to it if I don't like the other ROMs. Can anyone tell if I have a stock or non-stock ROM and kernel? Attached are the two pics of the settings and the ROM art.
Thanks!

You've got yourself a stock ROM and kernel. And, as a matter of fact, your ROM is actually one build behind the current (and last) build put out by Samsung. Samsung released up to 2.3.6. You are at 2.3.5.
As for the kernel, if you had a custom kernel on there, the kernel would be signed differently.
Yours is:
2.6.35.7-G70UEKI8-CL566269
[email protected] #2
A custom kernel would look something like this:
2.6.35.7-G70UEKI8-CL566269
*****@****** # **
The asterisks represent where the different signature should be.

Battery drain and high CPU usage problem

I have battery drain problem. All i did now is: full wipe/full format (system, cache, preload etc.)/back to newest 1-file 4.1.2 stock XEO ROM.
Nothing changed, all i can see is that my CPU is 100% usage, what is the problem?

Tried all stock ROMs (excepting Android 2.3) and nothing changed, my phone gets overheated. May it be hardware problem? If yes how to repair it? My phone turns off my hands several times and maybe that's the cause.
first try custom rom stock or cm with custom kernel like dorimanx. if this dnt help try with different battery if this snt help could be motherboard problem. but first try flash dorimanx kernel on ur rom and check how phone behave

I bought my phone at 2011. My battery was just too old. I have bought new battery and everything is fine now!

Stuck on Android is starting/starting apps

So I went and restored my phone but it seems to be stuck on the optimizing apps/starting apps screen and won't go anywhere else? Anyway I can fix this? I've tried to flash a boost mobile (my carrier) stock rom but I get the same problem.

Which ROM/Kernel are you using? You can get better help if you post in that forum. If you're using stock rom, make sure you're flashing it in the right way, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/stocks-firmwares-moto-e-t3113235 for instructions.

@gameSTICKER has a good point. In addition, have you updated your partitions to the respective version of the ROM you are flashing? Out of curiosity, which build and version stock ROM have you flashed to your xt1526, are you using a custom recovery and, if so, what version?
