[Q] Google Maps Android API missing on CM10? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Device: Samsung Galaxy i9100P
ROM: CM10 Nightly - '10-20121007-NIGHTLY-i9100'
Modem: i9100XXLQ6
I can't seem to get the Google Maps API to install on my phone. I've tried various ROMS (all CM10 nightlies), as well as reinstalling Maps from the Play Store, but nothing seems to work so far.
When I'm in Instagram and I click on the Photo Maps sections I get:
"Photo Maps requires that the Google Maps Android API is installed on your device."
I've tried this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837198) but that didn't work for me either.
Anyone got any solutions? Pretty annoying having this issue. Thanks in advance

Did you try flashing gapps after flashing CM10?

Sorry, should've mentioned that in the original post. Yes, I've tried flashing GApps again. No joy

No one else had this issue? Not sure why it's happening me. Friend is running the same ROM as mine (same GApps too) on an S2 and he's not having these issues.

Anyone able to help with this? Not ROM specific, tried loads.
Not able to install Foursquare from Store or any fitness tracking apps. Being told my device isn't compatible. Could it be linked?

[Q] Vegan-tab 5.1.1 already contains Gapps?

Am I correct, that the Vegan-tab 5.1.1 and or supplement already contains the google apps? I thought I read it somewhere here but I can't seem to find it again. I already have voice, talk, calendar, and the market seems to be full or close to it.
Can someone confirm this for me please? Thank you.
Correct. Market and all included...
I think only the Gingerbread versions of ROMs for the Gtablet currently don't have Google Apps included and need the gapps.zip. All of those are based off the CyanogenMod source tree and they use a GApps.zip package.
Yup. It's good to go out of the box.

[Q] CM10 onda vi40 crash issue

I have posted earlier as well and no one replied so once again i am posting my issue.
I have onda vi40 elite v3 with christian troy's CM10 rom...my first issue was all softwares used to crash especially camera app... later i did an experiment and instead of installing gapps, i ignored them. everything was smooth and fine but i couldnt install google play...from external sources i installed other apps and all were working fine so my first view was gapps is causing issues.
in order to get goolge play i had to flash gapps and this time i tried ICS version of gapps and all was working fine but now maps wont detect my location, and at times though it crashed, its still better than previous issue.
Now if someone can help me please...i want to install this rom once again with latest CM 10 rom without gapps...i want to know how would i install google play ( it does install but doesnt work)
PLEASEEEEEEE
Did you solve your problem?

[Q] Please Help - Google Earth Reinstallation Problems

Dear Forum Members - This is my first post in XDA and so my apologies if I missed any protocols. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 International Version. Just like many of you, I got fed up with Touchwiz and flashed CM 10.2 using Cyanogenmod Instaaller. While the performance exceeded my expectations by a huge margin, I am facing one small problem with installation of Google Earth. Since Google Earth is not available in my country through Play Store yet, I usually download the apk and install it. I did the same after moving to CM 10.2 amd installed the old app from my backup, but realised there is an updated version of Google Earth V 7.1.3 available and downloaded the same from a popular tech site. The problem is after I uninstalled the old app, I am unable to install either the new version or the old version. I keep getting the Out of Space: Titanium Backup could not be installed error even though there is lot of space still available. When I faced similar trouble with Titanium Backup Pro earlier, I found online that by deleting /system/app for file Titanium....odex. file and it worked flawlessly. However, I cant find any such file for Google Earth. Can someone please help solve this issue? Thanks in advance

[Q] No Google App access possible

Hi,
after some troubles with updating the ACE II from Gingerbread to JB and then to Kitkat, the system is finally stable.
Unfortunately I still have problems accessing the google play store/ creating and accessing a google account.
I installed Macław/NovaFusion version of CM11.0 and the appropriate gapp (no matter if I use the same homepage or the cm original)
As soon as I want to create/access a google account nothing happens, as soon as I enter Login and Password it seem as if the internet conncetion fails (just no access there)
I tried to install a newer version of both CM11.0 and the gapps (no mather if mini, micro or...) it didn't help.
Do I have to clear anything before the update, to ensure that the gapps finally work?
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Chrome Unfortunately has Stopped on PA 4.4 RC1 (C6806)

Hello all.. I'm Curious if anyone else has had any problems with chrome (or the chrome beta) crashing on PA 4.4 RC1. I can open it and look through bookmarks and settings but when I enter a URL and hit go it crashes...?.? I tried Firefox and it works fine. I've also done a full wipe with CWM and reinstalled the ROM and Gapps from scratch. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes this is known issue. It has been reported in the Paranoid Android google+ community. You have to wait for a fix or maybe there are other solutions in the community. You have to look but to answer your question, this is a known issue. Not just your device. Use another browser temporarily if possible.
