[Q] Is there a way to show battery percentage in the notification bar? - HTC Droid DNA

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was a way to get the percentage to show (possibly even inside the battery icon) in the notification bar without downloading a separate app or widget. There's plenty of forums about it but nothing specifically for the dna or jelly bean. I'm currently rooted with s-on (s-off will be my project for tonight) and running genome 2.0, which is awesome btw, props to factory rom, check it out if you're looking for a new rom.

Not without flashing a different Rom with a battery mod. Or a battery mod zip for your specific rom

I guess I'll just have to contact the dev to see if they'd be willing to do something like that, thank you

Look in the themes sections for all rom battery mods. I know there are a few themers that have released some.

Battery percentage mod

Without having to flash a whole theme.. anyway to just get battery percentage mod on CM7?
I use "battery notifier" its only 55kb in size and requires no permissions, it gives u a little battery icon in notifications and u have the option to place the percent on that little icon I dont think you will be able to mod the actual icon or do much to to the status bar without a flash

Yeah actually i have the same thing, but i hate wasting a spot in the notification bar when there's already a battery gauge available.

Doesn't seem like cm7 is supported for any of those. But I found a mod that works from the general android theme section.

Second theme down

I already removed the 'theme manager' and all that business. There really isn't any flashable zip like the bar battery floating around? I have it set to always show on my lock screen, but locking and unlocking to see my battery percentage is getting old.... :-/
I figured it would be included in cmparts, but it wasn't. Was there a reason for that?

I don't think that Cy cares for it so it wasn't included

Looks like it'll be showing up in nightly 5!
I don't care much for the themes so that's great.

Really? That's very interesting...it's such a simple improvement. Who wouldn't want to know their battery percentage over just a shaded battery icon? It's practically useless. I can't tell the difference between 50 percent and 30 percent...it looks the same! lol

I'm with you there. I'm not much of a 'theme' guy. If I want something changed, I'll change it..but I'm not one to change everything just so I can have the battery percentage. I had it on the stock mysense rom, so I'll just wait for it to show up in cm7. ....sigh.....one can only hope....

[Q] [REQUEST]Can Someone Port the Smooth Sense Battery % Icon?

Can someone port the Smooth Sense Battery % Icon with the white battery text to the Tbolt??
Gotta get root first. Then a working clockwork recovery will come next before you'll see any mods. Its coming though. Thankfully this phone has a huge developers base.
Sent from my Droid using XDA Premium App
I was looking for the same. Since we are waiting on root/recovery, I used BatteryTime lite. Puts a little battery percentage in the status bar.
Got Root now let's see the Smooth Sense Icons!
anyone? bueller?
can you link me to the battery you're talking about?
I'm looking at the framework for the basic debloaded ROM and it doesn't have the 137ish images for the battery icon, it's back to only having 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, so I don't know how the smooth battery mods would work.
the circle battery works just fine, it definitely has all the required pictures...

You can try the circle battery I uploaded to page 2 of this thread and see if it's what you want.

I know I'm new on this forum but I have made a few themes for the D1 and Incredible. I’ll take a look at it tonight when I get home as I loved this on my last Incredible.

Those mods look awesome! Can we get those ported as well?
I know that this battery is in "The Perfect Storm" rom. I'd ask the dev if he can export just those files as a .zip
EDIT
Here is the ROM thread.
Bump...can anyone port the notification icons? I'd forever be in your debt!

How can I add battery percentage to my status bar?

I'd like to be able to add some sort of battery percentage to my status bar that flows with the ICS theming (I have a Droid Pro running a CM9 port).
Does anyone have any advice?

I've read that, but I'm not quite sure what I need to go to get it going. Can I just download a Cyanogen them and upload that APK? Is that all that's required?

No, for cm you have to upload a theme apk. So an example would be cyanbread. You would upload one of those themes.

Miui batterry mod for ICS Rezound ROM

I used to have this on a ROM for my HTC Sensation, but have not been able to find anything for the Rezound. I am looking for the MIUI battery bar that goes across the top af the status bar and doesn't have a battery sym ol in the status bar itself. Any help, or if someone knows how to make a mod like this, i would greatly appreciate it.
I am currently using Nils ICS Business Sense ROM.

Check TEAM battery bar on Market.

please answer my stupid question quickly

How do I get my battery icon to look like this? (I am on an i9300).
Believe it or not, if you're fairly new to Android, it's hard to google this one.
A number of ways with customs roms or simple bar icons changing apps that's called circle mod icon u need root to be able to do these things

So you believe the phone in the picture (taken from Mobilesyrup's review) was rooted?
Anyways, thanks for answering my question.

Anyways, I just rooted now and will find the circle icon app/widget etc..
I have this widget, and it is FREE...No need to root to use it. =) Its called Battery Circle Widget, and as I mentioned it is FREE in the Play Store...enjoy!

Exactly. I don't want to wade through my sea of icons to find my battery life. I also don't want to have a graphical battery icon and a percentage taking up two spots....
Pictures like that of the mobilesyrup review seem to show a newly released device that's [most likely] not rooted. Does the LTE SGS3 have some different ROM on it with that battery icon included?

You need to be rooted. I take pride in saying that my phone is rooted.
You don't own a gs3 if you are not rooted.

if u are rooted, flash omega 7.0 rom. The battery is there by default. And its a amazing rom also.
This thread has turned into something of a battle hahaha...
I rooted with cf-root in the sticky in the dev forum and I installed "XXALF2-ODEX-BatMod-v2.zip" from here.
