I was given star b94m.
I can truly say that it is perfect in every way, but am having a very annoying problem.
The phone in question is not working in 3g (in Italy)
The board housed into WCDMA / GSM (Dual Sim is) of any operator is, after a while it stops working.
If you are calling .... the other party ceases to feel.
If you're not in call, see the signal bar to go to RED and is not accessible.
The same card placed on a older Android Phone 2. * Works perfectly.
- I thought about an APN problem .... apn rebuilt but nothing
- I brought the phone to factory preset levels but nothing.
It only works in 2g (good)
I can say that the phone has a malfunction on the 3g?

Hi,
To solve the problem of 3G/H+, I installed the room 4.2.1 (from neddrom.com), and the solution for me has been to use "maui meta 3G" and I followed exactly the procedure in the video from "chinaphonearena"
The menus are in chinese in the video but the order is the same so... just clic the same thing ... FYI, I had a warning "install GPIB card and visa32"... I didn't do it and it worked fine anyway ... It was on windows XP SP3 and I used the driver included in the repertory "MT65xx Preloader/Vista/2K_XP_COM".
When you choose the database, a warning appear to tell that it was'nt designed for this phone (it comes from Zopo) but it was really ok for me...
After that, reboot, and.. the H+ is very quick ... FYI, I'm in France ("SFR" network)...
And finally, I installed Notification Light Widget and with that and the build.prop here (thank you !), it's all good for the battery... Just the autobrightness to solve completly and all will be eally fine...

Bought the Atrix last week and unlocked it with the help from the webshop as I'm in Belgium, no problem connecting to Mobistar wich is my provider and data connections works great. But I'm having real problems making phonecalls and recieving calls; the phone reboots or the dialer hangs and it looks like a call is going on when it's not, phone still works but flashing green in the notification area and it's impossible to hang up, need to reboot. This happens like 80% of the times I try to make a call. After a reboot it works fine to call and hang-up one or two times then it crashes again.
Also noted that my Dialer often runs twice in the Running Apps manager - is that normal??
Anyone having the same issues or know what to do, reinstall the Dialer app --> if so how? Is it a hardware or software problem??
A little more info: when I recieved the device it was in a sealed Atrix box but the phone was used and already had an active Blur account so I had to do a hard reset to be able to use it... --> was it returned 'cause of faulty dialer or radio... then resold to me... not nice if so...?
Tried to install dialer one app but it seems only to skin the original dialer...
It's a greate device and works great othervice but in the end it's still a phone... which should be able to make calls...

Ive got an unlocked Atrix too and now in Germany, I have the same problem. Motorola should definitely look into this.
Here's a quick fix for it thou, (not permanent)....
1. type *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer
2. Chose Phone Information
3. Set preferred network to GSM only
Viola...its fixed
problem with this fix is that you wont be able to use your 3G network but the dialer should be working.

It sure did the trick, though no data access is not acceptable on a phone like this!!!
So this meens that all unlocked Atrix's in european GSM networks have the same problems? Haven't seen any others reporting this and there are quite a few in use I've noted in other forums.
Was thinking of trying to have mine replaced (which probably won't be easy and take long time...) but that won't change anything then??
We have to wait for the european version of Atrix rom I suppose??

No problems buddy, glad it worked..and i have to agree with you..this bug is unacceptable...it seems the phone just ***** up everytime it calls on utms (3g)...im sure there is more people with this problem...

Hi guys, I have the same exact issue (I'm also in Belgium, on Mobistar). I'm somewhat glad to hear this is a generic issue, and not an issue with my specific phone. At least I can be fairly certain replacing it won't solve this issue then.
I made another post here before I came across this one, has a bit more info: we are seeing modem panics when using 3G + outbound call. I've also contacted Motorola support to no avail:

You can also read there that I tried another operator, and it did not crash with that one (although 3G did disconnect).
Hopefully Motorola/Qualcomm will start to notice the bug when they release the phone globally, and release a fix.
Either that, or we all have phones from the same bad batch
This bug is really bad for users in europe....cant call on utms...
I really hope motorola takes this seriously cos if there's no fix via software updates then its moto gone for me
Guys, you are all on unlocked att atrix right? I do believe it is a simmiliar software glitch/bug/lock that you have porblems using it on non att networks as the problem with the wifi that it stops working for some of us (check the thread about it for more info). As all suggests there it is a config file problem, unfortunately i or anyone else doesnt know yet which one....
Yeah maybe..but funny thing is wifi is working without a glitch...will have to read that forum later...
Workaround options
So, since it seems we're not gonna get this fixed until there is a new radio/modem firmware available for flashing (and even then..), I've been looking for a workaround.
Found two potential applications that could do what we need: disable data completely when making an outgoing call, or switch to 2G:
- Sanity
- Superpower
I've tested the first (Sanity), and it does not work (fully). It does seem to disable data, but the bands aren't switched so our problem remains. I've contacted the developer here: http://tagliamonte.net/forum/thread-10.html. He seems to be very responsive, so given enough interest, I think he would add the functionality we require.
The second app I only came across today, and have not tried yet. It does not have a function to specifically switch bands when making an outgoing call, but it has a trigger for "Foreground application", so if we make that the dialer/contacts... Question remains if it will be able to do the switch.
Hopefully one of these will lead to a decent workaround for all of us!

Same in Russia on Megafon network, I had to enter 4636 menu and use it as "GSM only". Even this does not fully solve problems, e.g. call forwarding does not show the new destination number while it does actually make the phone divert calls correctly.
My hope is that UK release will trigger new software version which will address this issue. ANYONE has news on this?

You have to use RSD-lite, since sbf_flash will not work. Flash the 1.87 baseband and enjoy working HSPA (including unlocked upload speeds ^^)

Worked for me as well..brilliant!!!! its working here in germany.....but I wonder the telstra radio will work in my home country with frequencies of 900/2100
Motorola Atrix restart when placing a call
I just got the same exact Dialer problem now, but the flash radio file is gone* in the pointed post, and I don't know exactly how to flash the radio.
Someone can help me? I need the radio file and step by step instruction to how to flash it.
BTW my Atrix 4G works perfect for a year till this Dialer problem started past week.
I also use my phone as a full Linux computer when docked, and it works very fine.

i had that problem too , im using CM13 with Marshmallow Version of android
So . the easy way is :
***** search "Default" in settings. then choose " System dialer" as Default ! just it ****
but if there is no search bar in your setting . try this patch:
Android 6 : Setting/Apps then click the setting icon on top(may be diffrent in your case) , then Click on "default ...." then choose " System dialer" as Default! :fingers-crossed:
but in some cases that it didnt work . they have to reinstall gapps .
Or in official Roms , reset will be usefull

i just got my htc desire v(dual sim) last month. everything went smooth but just recently my phone self internet isnt working anymore... i cant access anything relate to internet but my phone does have sufficient credit and the network provider is just working fine (i tried my brother phone).
anyone know how to fixed this issue? Sorry for my poor grammar...and really really thanks for helping.

First of all, does the SIM-Card work generally - did you have try on SIM2 ?
I have another problem with my SIM Card - it will never start working, if I make a restart or quickboot (only if I shut down and start new)
... I solved this by going to the Settings of the DUAL NETWORK MANAGER and stop and restart the card by tapping twice on SIM1 Symbol - then it starts working without any issues. This is the most annoying thing on my device.
This problem starts, as I got another SIMCARD with a smaller golden Chip...
our Device has sometimes problems with the latest SIMCARD-Types
(Hardware-Problem from HTC) as I have found out.
You can also reset the provider settings to standard (Mobile Network Settings)
restart the phone. Then it will find a "changed Simcard" and you can choose the provider settings again.

I have a problem when using the phone with bluetooth headset.
When I perform a call from the device using the BT headset the other side hears my voice very distorted.
However when I receive a call the other side hear my voice very well.
I tested two different BT headsets and they all have the same problem.
I also tested those BT headsets with Samsung Galaxy S2 and they worked correctly.
Please help me solve this problem.

It does not work with certain network providers. In my country we have 3 cellular providers Pelephone,Cellcom, and Orange. Only Cellcom has a problem.
There is some kind of interference between BT transmission and Cellcom broadcast. My guess it is a HW issue in THL cellular phones.
So the best solution is to switch cellular provider.

I also found this bug in THL W100. This is probably design bug in all THL line of phones.
This phone is designed for Chineese market and I guess there were no problems with Chineese providers. Also they may have skipped some of the tests or limitations to reduce the phone price.
Aparently this is HW issue, so no software can fix it.
The only way to fix it is to switch the provider or give up the phone.

I also found another solution if you move your phone to GSM mode only, it also solves the problem.
This can be done in settings menu.

If you can just switch to another provider. It is the best way. I use Ramy-Levy. It works well.
Is there a solution for this?

16-12-13 SOLVED:
Looks like i found a fix for this, problem is in one of the parameters of the audio speech enhancement settings.
this is what i did :
enter engineer mode through moble uncle tools or gravity mod.
go to hardware testing
select audio
select speech enhancement
change common parameter to BT earphone
change parameter0 to parameter12
change the value to 20488
press back several times
reboot phone and test it
i came to this solution by comparing the differences to my jiayu in witch this was recently solved.

one extra problem
After making a call (I use Lenovo p780) when I'm on 3g, the phone "falls out" the network. It restore the connection in few seconds, but it's annoying. It doesn't happen always, but very frequent
When I change my phone to 2g mod, it works well, but in 3g- the problem is there

It's my first time posting a problem cause I used to find my answers in others topics, thanks to your efforts. But sadly I didn't find a solution for this problem.
I have a galaxy s2 GT-I9100, It was working greatly, but for the last 3 weeks, once I turne the wifi on, the phone slows down immediatly. And when I turn the wifi off again, it goes back to its normal stat.
I tried at first a factory reset .. It didn't work.
I flashed the ROM with an official JB .. It seems working for a few days, but now the problem is back again.
To give you more details : when I turn the wifi on, the menu start "lugging", and when I use the virtual keyboard, when I click on a character, it stay clicked for a long time, and if I want for example to delete a letter, the backspace button stay in hold, until it delets many lines of the text.
And many other things !
I wish that you can help me fix that.

Probably apps waking up and syncing when they're told by Android that there's a network connection.

I don't think so .. cause all the apps I have are regular apps : Viber, Skype, etc.
It's NOT a hw (hardware) problem.
Any app that accesses the internet WILL attempt to sync when a connection is available.....even those that don't normally use it could.....just to check for updates....
Take the sync advice...it's more possible....
Temporarily disable sync before enabling wi fi and see if you notice any lag then....I bet it will be minimal.
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

I disabled the sync, but I don't think it helped a lot .. Maybe a tiny bit, and thanks for that, but the phone still slow .. For example I still have that keyboard issu .. do you suggest any other tips to do ?
My kids have cheapo generic android tablets......if they start lagging or doing weird s**t, I boot the tabs into recovery and wipe cache and dalvic......that usually helps.......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

It seems to be working for sometime .. But I think It was an illusion .. The phone is still terribly slow when all the time my wifi is on ..
I confirm that I have Viber and Skype and Telegram installed, but they were there since I bought the phone ..

i have them too but the phone is so fast i advise you to go to clean master and ther memory boost and select all the apps to free memory and create a widget of memory boost on the screen from apps widgets and search for clean master memory boost and since you see that your phone becomes slow click on the widget :good:
Hi. I bought the p20 lite 2days ago. It works ok, however I am facing problems with its connection to my bmw 525i e60 model. It connects, transfers the data, but then it usually disconnects once I make the first call and the other party answers the phone. This does not happen all the time. Usually it happens the first time that I make a call. I tried 6 other phones, all work ok. I tried to restart the phone, remove and add the phone to the car... all without syccess. Any ideas from someone? I would really appreciate it.

There are some problems with Oreo devices connecting via bluetooth to BMWs

I have also problem with my P20 Lite. Actually, i have 2 problems:
1. i use my phone in a car VW Touran, radio RNS 315. I made a BT connection, I can dial or answer the call, but I cannot see dialing history from my phone. I also not see my phone book on RNS 315
2. on my bike I am using Polar V650 bike computer. I cannot sync sessions with P20 Lite, because of the error "your phone is not compatible with Polar V650"
Is there any new FW that will fix this problems with BT connection?
No there is no solution at this moment.
I have reported this at Huawei, and they are investigating the problem.
I think it is a good idea that you do the same! Calling Huawei support.

Concerning car bluetooth problems, I've had problems at first for pairing with my Dacia (Medianav), the phone simply didn't see the bt device. The day after is was able to pair correctly, since then I didn't have more problem.
I've updated to 8.0.0.126, BT seems indeed more stable, but after a few hours I still lose synchronization between my watch and the P20. The P20 and the watch display they're connected together, but can't sync data any more. Only a reboot of the watch makes things work again.

In the last firmware update some issues related to bt where fixed, check it if you have one in the buffer.

I have problem with may car computers too. I have Navi600 system in my chevy cruze. P20lite is paired with system and i can see all diall history (incoming/outgoing calls) , but without phone book. I didn't have this kind of problem with my old p10lite. Support answered that problem appears due to newer android and bt version... Is any one of you able to confirm that? Is there any patch for that or exteranl application? I suppose that is not the problem with connection because system see the call history from phone, but doesn't read the contacts.

Is there any patch for that or exteranl application? I suppose that is not the problem with connection because system see the call history from phone, but doesn't read the contacts.

It might be your car doesn't work well with android 8. My Mercedes works fine with my phone. Even displays my sms. You can try checking the Bluetooth setting when connected to the car see if its a permission that might be deactivated
