[Q] Need Help Unlocking SGH-i757m - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got a new Samsung Galaxy SII from Bell Mobility (SGH-i757m). I need to unlock it but nothing seems to work. I have rooted it and tried every app that claims to be able to unlock it, but nothing works!
I have tried to locate the NV_Data.bin file but can't find it anywhere in the phone!
If anyone could tell me how to unlock this phone or how to locate the NV_Data.bin it would be great!
Thanks

[Q] How to enable network lock on SGS2 or re-lock?

Hi to all!
I am about to give my Samsung Galaxy S II to samsung service shop. I have unlocked it, and now I would like to have it back locked.
Is it actually possible?
I've found the description how to re-lock SGS, but that doesnt work on SGS 2.
So, any suggestions?

Thank you for the recommendation! That has really worked, my phone is locked now!
But...
I changed HEX 0x00 to 0x01, it is locked, but for which network? I tried to insert its "original" sim, it thinks, that its another network and asks me to enter unlock code.
Well, the unlock code I have is suitable. But how to lock it for a particular MNC?
I've tried really lots of service codes. No luck.
The only one from SIMLOCK-on-off combinations that works is #7465625*27*# (enables CP lock).
Is it somehow possible to put the MNC code for the network, for wich the phone should be unlocked, via PC (nv_data etc.)?
Are there any other codes/ways to lock the SGS 2?

You cannot just reverse it like that, it would require more to be done, if anyone is interested I can add the info for locking too, but I think tururum will be sorted by my last PM to him
The problem solved! I must thank Odia for helping me. That is his method.
I renamed /efs/imei/keystr to /efs/imei/keystr.OLD and after that I had got no problems with entering re-lock key (the same as for I9000).
The phone was kindly accepted by service shop and succesfully repaired.

Have you tried the Spocky one ? It's called GalaxSim Unlock
It worked for my rooted Samasung Galaxy S2 i9100, I installed BusyBox and then Unlocked it with the GalaxSim Unlock, the phone rebooted automatically and voila !! An unlocked device
The two apps are in Google Play and they're free
Hope this helps, and good luck
Thanks for trying but I have tried the 2 apps off play any other thoughts
Update?
Did you ever manage to unlock the device?

[Q] Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful

Hi
I have an I717m (Bell) that I want to unlock.
I first found a link on how to freely unlock it using a modem from another phone... didn't work (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124544)
I then bought an unlock from unlockphonenetwork.com... worked like a charm... but I forgot to reflash the note original modem, after flashing the correct modem I lost my unlock and every time I try the unlock code I have the error "Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful"...
I'm stuck here, tried going through the debug service menu the undo the change I made trying the free unlock without success...
How can I reset(re-init) the radio setting? (EFS clear in Odin)?
Anyone can give some cues or advices on what to do next?
Thanks.
Oups can you put this question in QA?

[Q] Reooting and flashing

Hi there.
Total newbie when it comes to this and abit confused as there are so many different instructions on how to root, flash and unlock phones - to the point it got me growling at the laptop...
Anyhow I have a Samsung Galaxy 2 GT9100 that is/was locked "Three". I think I have managed to root it as I am able to run Galaxy 2 SIM Unlock - but alas it doesn't seemed to find a SIM unlock code.
I'm hoping someone can give me clear guidance on unlocking the handset (so I can use my giffgaff (o2) SIM in it), install a stock Samsung Galaxy 2 ROM (Not fussed about customisation) and finally suggest a Kernel that is secure and will get rid of the yellow triangle.
As you can appreciate after a whole day at "trying" yesterday I would appreciate some clear help instead of trawling 1001 youtube videos

I've managed to get I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar on - I'm not sure if that's the right one for the UK but its the only Generic one I can find and all seems fine, however the GPS is shockingly bad. Any ideas?
Thanks

Not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish, because you have a busybox install screen. Are you trying to unlock the device? If so, using Galaxy Sim Unlock will work - just make sure you reboot the phone afterwards.
I don't know what sim unlock method that is, and am not sure if it works on SGH-I777.
If you need help rooting, use framaroot with the Aragorn exploit.
For a working sim unlock, see this post.
