I am looking to bring my GS3 BoneStockROM to the Galaxy S4. I don't own the device so I am looking for some willing testers.
I would like to eventually sell my SG3 and get a SG4 but currently don't have the money.
If you are willing to test please post or PM me.
I want to try and bring over a few features that I ported such as Blocking Mode and Call/Message Block that we should have but Verizon decided to take away.
I have them both fully working and ported to their rightful Verizon applications for the SG3, and would like to try and possibly get them working on this phone as well.
It's very cumbersome building a ROM/MOD/theme/etc. for a device you don't own, as things can't get done nearly as fast, and sometimes not at all. Having some willing to test, we can ideally link up on Gtalk to help move things along.

CWM may be in Beta but it is completely functional and stable. Read over in the dev forum... there is loads of good stuff in the works. Devs have only had a stable CWM for like a week. Give them some time. Or hey, roll up your sleeves and start developing too!

Can't complain as some of the Devs in here are working blindly (don't even have the GNOTE). Just be thankful people are taking the time out of their lives to put the hard work in developing things For FREE. I on one hand have no clue on development, but I act as a guinea pig and test Rom and kernels to help give feedback to Devs so they can make adjustments or improvements.

As Promised........ Here is the System dump I got from the Tmobile beta test G-Note. Now I know everyone wants the Kernel and Modem, but until I can figure out how to get those without moving the counter and only with a temp root (which I have not been successful ...yet) it will take a little longer, I do not want to get anyone in hot water for my curiosity......

What does the kernel do for us? Those moving to t-mo and those staying on ATT? My guess is maybe import the official iCS rom? Can someone educate me? Thanks

No Not really I haven't done any dev work since the HD2 I know just enough to know how dumb I really am..... but I am glad we got this much I am going to try and get the kernel and modem next......
As far as the ICS........... you know this Image Probably will work on the ATT NOTE since it is ICS 4.03........ at a minimum it will provide the REAL Devs some insight on how to port ICS into our existing phones....

Here is another bounty thread I really like his work on Cleanrom he is very Consistent in adding new features and keeping the Rom upto date! He has been working hard trying to get this rom working on vzw note 2 without a device and it would just be alot easier if he had one in his hands to keep it upto date and keep the work flowing so lets help him out!
Where has he been? He stopped doing roms for the htc rezound back around June/July leading me to think he's burned out. He did great work with the rezound roms. I'm all for getting new devs for this great phone!!

OH SNAPS!!! His roms are awesome and he is one of my favorite devs and I have donated to him a couple of times and I just donated to 2 others this month but I will see what I can do cause I would LOVE me some CleanRom!!! Geeze, I got all excited for a minute but I don't even see that he is even wanting this phone??? Typically you would get involved with someone before you throw their name out there...
I doubt he knows about this. Other donation threads, the dev has chimed in thanking anyone who donated. So far haven't seen scrosler here

he was in here before the device was released...if im not mistaken he went with a att note2 because of the locked bootloader.

But alas, I got antsy and signed a contract with AT&T because of the B/S bootloader Verizon does...
Right now I have the fastest, most stable ROM, for the Note 2 on the planet (Ok, thats debatable, lol).

Hew asked me if he could do this and I fully support it and made the link to track the donations for this device.
Once donations have been met the device will be bought, off contract, and a ROM will be made :good:

Probably wont lead anywhere. Im assuming if it could there would of been some developer chatter. For all I know someone could be doing it behind closed doors tho.

They have a notice on the site that download counts aren't showing properly on the page. Im sure somebody has grabbed it. Plus, DL been going pretty slow for me at least, on any mirror not getting over 250KB/s thats like almost 2 hrs, lol

Probably not. This doesnt really have anything to do with rom development. None of the bounty/safestrap threads are in the dev section.

Wow this went no where I guess everyone has just kind of given up. This will be the last time I rush out and get a launch day "flagship" device paying full price. I thought for sure this phone would have a ton of development and a ton of accessories so far im seing neither. The s3 has alot more

I don't think he was ripping anyone saying he's "owed anything". Just exhibiting frustration on a locked bootloader. I too had hoped Sammy would not have gone this route, and more development would continue. Those of us on VZW should come to expect this now, as they are nazis with the bootloader. Bootloader unlock is not a selling point for me, but it does make it more fun.

It is frustrating for those of us on ME7 not to have an unlocked bootloader, but I for one am grateful for the options we DO have right now... you can still root and use Xposed to customize to your liking or use Safestrap and flash a decent amount of roms. I will keep waiting patiently for someone to find an exploit, but in the meantime just shut up and enjoy what options we're even lucky enough to have. You picked Verizon, did you really expect freedom?

The options we have seem to be enough for most users anyhow.
Well I just ordered my note 3 today. should be here by monday. First order of business will be porting my h20 rom over. and incorporating all the bells and whistles. for those of you who had note 2s you probably know who i am and for those who dont I just wanted to say hello! ive already started on a lot of mods but wont be able to truly test till I get my phone. well thats it and cant wait to develop for this phone too!
Almost forgot lol the reason I started this thread is because if you would like to be a tester please let me know and I will put you on the list. I will not open the h20 note3 thread in development until I have a tested stable version ready to go.

yea was thinking about getting the htc one max, but after playing around with one it is bunk, and most of the problems with the note 3 will be addressed in the update being pushed out tomorrow, and the rest I will have worked out and fine tuned myself hehe!
I had a Note II for almost a year. Never heard of you or your work. However, glad to see more people on board. This phone is a beast.

if you click on the banner below my post for the h20 rom you will see what it was all about. I started out developing alot in the beginning and ported a lot of mods to the note 2 but after some drama I slowed production down a lot, and then work got busy. I'm hoping for a little less drama this time around lol. :fingers-crossed:

I had the note 2 and i remember wanting your baby. H20 was cutting edge, I knew you were going through a rough patch in your life. I hope it's smooth sailing from here. Would love to try out rom and still want the baby.

Lmao I just spit my pop out reading this. that was a much needed laugh. Yes things are much much better in my life. You will be one of the first to try out the new rom. And this rom will be just as much if not more cutting edge. I am very excited for this. glad to see familiar faces here.

For sure. Same reason why I'm on hiatus from theming. Too much drama fo' yo momma.....and there were a few A-holes on my former team.

Well my first order of business is to try and hijack a copy of mj4, and make a stock deodexed rooted stable base rom, then port all mods from the h20 rom and some new things to the mj4 base. after that is finished its just a matter of ripping all the icons and images out of the h20 rom and renaming and sizing them for this, and we will be up and running. I'd say this should be like a week endevor.:fingers-crossed:
