[Q] at&t signal icons - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Anyone have a flashable zip of the original at&t signal icons? I kinda miss the original 4G 4GLTE icons on my phone after I updated to an international ROM. I know there are the colored ones but I just want the plain white ones. Thanks.

The easiest way to do this is just to change the sku_id in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to 7. You can do this with any text editor, and the line you're looking for is near the end:

42
(42 is the sku_id for wwe versions, 7 is for ATT)
Then reboot

How to Change Phone Signal Icon colors?

As the title says, I would like to change the colors of the Phone Signal Strength.
The stock white on grey is too hard to see. Would like to have red,green,or blue signal strength on grey or white back. I have been doing a lot of searching and have seen some different themes that change it, but I would like to change without loading a complete theme.
MrFordwrench
You can do it in com.htc.resources.apk in folder res/drawable-480x320
Could you please elaborate a little more.
"You can do it in com.htc.resources.apk" How?
Is your phone rooted?
I've made a theme with customized icons.

Yes, I have a CDMA hero Sprint, It is rooted and has Gumbo Rom installed.

Newb theming question.....

I haven't really played with our modded the icons since 2.3 on my d2g. Where do I find png files to edit for the taskbar and such? Any help appreciated.

can anyone help me out? i'm pretty good with uot now however I can't seem to get the signal bars to stop being a light grey as well as the 3g/4g and arrows to change color. im using cleanrom 1.5.5. they rest of the top bar and statusbar was changed but for some reason i cant get anything related to the 3g/4g arrows and indicator as well as the 4 signal bar to go red. i supplied the flashable zip. it's mostly based off the transparent mod but changed a few things to be like a black/clear/red type of theme. any help in getting the other status icons to change color would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is that the 3g and 4g arrows aren't
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g.png or stat_sys_data_inandout_4g.png
they are
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g_lte.png or stat_sys_data_inandout_vzw_lte.png
If you have the icons you want in 3g/4g then copy them over the similarly named 3g_lte and vzw_lte files. Then you'll get what you're looking for. If you want I can edit up your file to show you what I mean.
yeah if you don't mind. I used the uot kitchen so the mistake was on the automatic cooking. only icons that aren't red is the CDMA signal 4 bar,3g with arrows as well as the 4g lte. thanks for the help

Never used uot. Always ninjamorph and metamorph and just edit what's pulled apart by hand. Xhdpi folders?

I grabbed the file but I can't edit the files without GIMP. I'll beat this up for you tonight if you can wait. Otherwise if you want to try yourself, these are the files that need to be replaced to do 1x, 3G, and 4G on the Rezound.
/system/app/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi (and/or drawable-xhdpi)
1X:
stat_sys_data_connected_1x.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_1x.png
stat_sys_data_in_1x.png
stat_sys_data_out_1x.png
3G:
stat_sys_data_connected_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_in_3g_lte.png
stat_sys_data_out_3g_lte.png
4G:
stat_sys_data_connected_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_in_vzw_lte.png
stat_sys_data_out_vzw_lte.png
thanks I'll try while I wait. I didn't want anything to mess with what uot did so I'll manually patch as I go so everything else is in tact. If I fail then there's always your attempt. which versions of metamorph and ninja do u stick with?

I'm a hard-head. I do it all manually.
not me cause I can never get the images right and always have trouble dragging and dropping into the apk or recompiling

I break it down with morph and drag the work folder to my desktop. Only problem is white icons on a transparent....going through Xhdpi and just getting some basic red updates to match the rest of the phone. Having all blue os and all red and black phone feels off...

all I did was copied the systemui to my pc opened with 7zip. dragged the hdpi folder to my pc. edited selected images with paint.net. all i changed was the 4g/3g icon colors,left up/down arrows alone,changed 4 signal bar colors. dragged the files back into the zip within 7zip and pushed systemui and rebooted. first boot killed the status bar but i left it alone for a few minutes. did another reboot and now it seems to be workin great

change the default txt in the pulldown from black to white since the entire background is semi transparent. I haven't tried decompiling yet,figured i'd just extract the xmls out of res/layout but I did some reading where hex editing isn't required either. uot kitchen doesn't seem to get certain parts right. probably cause of the ota base

Yeah you need to decompile. Which actually isn't as bad as it sounds. If you have skype, send me a PM and I'll send you my skype name and I can send you my setup and walk you through whatever you need.

[MOD][DEODEX]SystemUI UN-ATTified

My un-ATTified SystemUI.apk.
Basicallly no carrier label, no ugly 4G icon (changed to G,3G,H,H+), should have no NFC icon (not sure I did the csc features edit), NFC quick settings icon set to international, 6 bar signal cluster.
3 things to do:
1) Add these 2 lines to /system/build.prop
ro.product.twname=jfltexx
ro.product.twdevice=jfltexx 2) in /system/app/ rename these:
SystemUI.odex to SystemUI.odex.bak
SystemUI.apk to SystemUI.apk.bak 3) paste new SystemUI.apk to /system/app/SystemUI.apk
This worked for me, I can't garentee it will work for you, and as such if you use this, know how to fix boot loops (mine never bootlooped doing though in the process of these mods, my SystemUI F/Ced until I got it just right. if SystemUI F/Cs have a backup. If you followed the directions just use root explorer to change SystemUI.odex.bak and SystemUI.apk.bak to their original file names.
What I did was changed what SystemUI/smali/com/android/statusbar/features.smali was using to get the phone build (it was looking at the last 2 letters on ro.product.name. Now it looks for last 2 letters in ro.product.twname) and changed the default from 4 bars max to 6 bars max. I used Nottach's hacks as a guide. I did both his changing the operator label to 0 pixels max and removal of the battery full icon. I also changed the ATT specific notification bar icons to match international, but I don't think they are even used now.
Thanks Nottach for pointing me in the right direction.
does this also affect the PHONE app? for mine, it replaced the Voicemail button on the lower left corner to what i believe is a 'video calls' button that doesn't work, at least on AT&T. im not sure if this is just me though.
thanks!

Sent from my AT&T S4 running an international ROM.

Req: AT&T 4g LTE icons build prop info

Could somebody check their build.prop file on the HTC one M8 loaded with the At&T ROM and let me know what information is shown under the following lines?
ro.product.model
ro.product.device
ro.product.name
I am trying to enable the AT&T icons on an international ROM

Change these strings,but it will break the dialer(not to where unusable) but from my testing there will be a black block where visual voicemail button should be,at least on euro builds ive tried to change them on...could be different on each build i guess

1

I'm actually looking for the opposite. I want to rid myself of the AT&T icons. Can anyone non-AT&T upload their build.prop info? Thanks.

[How-to] Maximum StatusBar Brightness 4.4.2

[How-to] Maximum StatusBar Brightness 4.4.2
This guide is based on the KK 4.4.2 Galaxy S5 builds.
I noticed that Samsung always make the statusbar notification areas a bit dim. Probably to help with battery conservation.
This requires decompiling SystemUI.apk.
SystemUI/res/values/dimens.xml edit
Code:
Change these three lines
New values are in BLUE

[COLOR="Blue"]100.0%[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Blue"]1.0[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Blue"]1.0[/COLOR]

Note:
Screenshots are best viewed from a PC so you can rapidly swap images to see the difference.
Nice.
Thanks
Weird. I have no values/dimens.xml file. Using to rootexplorer.

As stated in the OP, this requires being able to decompile the system file SystemUI.apk to make the edits.

Where i can find your teme for status bar ?.
Thanks
Great mod tdunham thank you very much for this tutorial. Working on my S3 using your old method found here. This may be the lazy way but it worked a lot easier for me to just make vrtheme flashables for this instead of doing a full release.
The reason they do this i think is not to save battery but to stop screen burn in of the statusbar icons. Doesnt matter on roms that have changeable icons or colors i suppose but doing this on a standard systemui with white icons may increase the chance of burn in.
I may be wrong but thought it worth mentioning
