yes mate it is available to buy. however only pre order at the moment which i have already done. there are 2 versions as you may already know. the tegra 4 which is only supported for chinese networks and the snapdragon 800 version which supports international networks. there are a few sites that i know of that you can pre order. i pre ordered it from www.xiaomiworld.com but you can also get it from www.ibuygou.com.
be careful what site you buy it from as there are a lot of fake sites which send you fake phones. these 2 sites i have provided are the most trustable sites to use unless you live in china which therefore you could buy directly from xiaomi and at cheaper prices.
hope this helps

Im looking at buying one of these what are peoples experiences with these phones Xiaomi Mi1 Mi2 and so on

I have the mi2s millet phone extreme edition. It has the 13mp camera and 32gigs of storage.
Great device all around. Setting up miuiandroid on it was tough because the recovery sucks, but ive been using it on T-Mobile prepaid since July with no quality issues or anything.
Its a great device. I got it because i like having a smaller screen.
Regarding the mi3:
For the money, I got the nexus 5 instead of the mi3, only because the two devices are so similar, and the nexus 5 is cheaper for US customers. My nexus 5 will have miui eventually anyways.

Hi... Do you know if it works fine with the US gsm range? I'm Brazilian, and don't know if it will be ok here...

Yes it works fine on us gsm networks, in fact, it is capable of dual carrier hspa (42mbps) if your provider offers it.

(snapdragon 800ab version)
and let me know if you like it!

That was a great review. Personally I am never buying another xiaomi product ever again, however the review was top knotch.

Any Xiaomi Owners here? How are the phones?

Hi, I'm living in china at the moment and was thinking about getting a new phone. But by default, phones here are somewhat more expensive then they are in the US so I'm not sure yet whether I wanna dish out ~$700 just to get an S3...
Chinese brands are obviously much cheaper here and I have heard that brands like Huawei are really nice. But to be honest, I just don't trust them :T....
I was looking at the Xiaomi phones which are rapidly gaining popularity, and well, just the specs and the price of the phones got me extremely interested in them . On paper they seem to be extremely powerful, and here I can get the Xiaomi M1S for 1500¥ (~$240) or the new Mi-2 for 2000¥ ($320). I'm extremly tempted to get one, but alas, the only reviews and such I can find are in chinese (which I obviously do not understand :S).
So I ask you, citizens of XDA , if any of you have had experience in owning or even handling a xiaomi phone. How are they, pros & cons, should I get one?? Which one then?
Thank you!
Definately go for MI 2 or even Miezu Mx. Worth it. Don't have either but i 'd surely buy if i was in your place.

Thanks I guess...
but it's just that I'm not sure about the durability and handling of chinese products....that's why I wanted input from someone who has had hands on experience with the products
I'd buy one they can't be too bad if they come preloaded with miui
Why don't you get google translate to translate their reviews

I'm currently I'm Hong Kong and the variety of china android phones with its super specs and cheap prices are calling out to me.

I actually had a mi2 that I bought from shenzhen which I lost. So I won't be buying that.
I will look at the i9500! Is this easy to flash, that is it has instructions for flashing? I am just a noob who is good at following instructions
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
If you looking to flash I would not get any of those clone knock off devices. Mostly as they so not have the hardware they claim they so and non have a good selection of roms to flash
Wayne Tech Nexus
Yeah the lesser known brands are mostly crappy but I don't mind getting a known brand yet not super high end like the new meizu and stuff

[Q] Is the Galaxy Nexus Still Relevant?

So I'm getting ready to upgrade to a Galaxy Nexus for Verizon. Buying from Gazelle, and putting it on V's Prepaid service. I'm right now using a Coolpad Quattro 4G, and am not impressed at all. So my question is, is the GNEX still relevant? By this I mean, am I going to love this phone as much as I hope? I have read some really great things about it, and can't wait to hear what you guys think!
Its a 2011 phone, so probably not.
Sent from my Xiaomi MI2S
Depends on what you want. It will definitely work well, while still getting updates from Google, but obviously the specs are not high end. Should be able to find one pretty cheap though

I loved my galaxy nexus when I had it... a year and a half ago. I'm on to the Nexus 4 now, which won't last much longer till the next Nexus.
It's an outdated phone, but still an "upgrade" if you will say, from what you have. If you are thinking of getting one, buy it used on eBay or Swappa to avoid contract issues with Verizon. I was stuck paying early termination fees last year when I left Verizon for T-Mobile.
For the record, I still have my gsm gnex. It runs 4.3 like a champ.

Okay, thanks all. So now my question is this: Whats out there in the 100-150 range that you suggest. My only real requirement is dual core and, strangely, a notification light. Its dumb, but I like having one for.some reason!

Well how much are you thinking? I'm kinda flexible

How Much/Where Sell Note 2?

I just upgraded to a Note 4 and I'm loving it. The Note 2 was an awesome phone and I used it for 2 years but it was time to upgrade. My question is that how much should I ask for my white Note 2? I have an extra S Pen & 2 extra batteries & charger plus some cases. I can figure out how much to add for the accessories but what should I ask for the phone itself? It's near mint & was always in a case....Also, where is the best place to sell the phone: Swappa or eBay? I want to use the one that would sell it the fastest & of course the most...I will be using Paypal only as the accepted payment if that matters?
Thanks!!
Any help on this would be appreciated....thanks

I would look to see what one is selling for, on EBay or any of the the other sites that you can buy a used phone and that should gibe you a jump off point for the price. Also, what version of android is on it? Is the boot loader unlockable? Hell, if your not too high on the price, I may give you an offer on it for another phone for testing builds on. I have 2 galaxy Note 8.0s gt-n5110 and that really make it nice for testing out what works and what does not on new roms and mods.

Unfortunately the phone is locked however also rooted....I prefer using Xposed over another rom...It just gave me the freedom to completely customize what I wanted...and it was a nice work around to not being able to install roms with the locked bootloader. I also have a Note 12.2 that is rooted but tripped Knox...however it's stock rooted also...but the tablet is less imperative to be rooted. As for the Note 2...I also have several cases & 2 extra batteries & a battery charger to include with the phone. I figured it would be a great phone for someone's kid...powerful yet cheap enough not to break the bank like a new phone would... Thanks for the information!!

Check the radio bands. The radio bands that our telcos are using might not be supported by the US version of the hardware. That's was the case with Nexus 5. There are usually two variants. US & International model. Personally I'd go with the international model just to be sure.
