The developers here are really great people, knowledgable, and and eager to help, so if you're stuck on something just holler!

I love it. I've had the DNA since July of this year and I've been around on the forums (don't think I had an account for a while at first) for both DNA and Nexus 7 (grouper) for a while, but this is my first time contributing. Got some free time during my Christmas break from school.

Yea, I posted it there first since I did not have permissions here on XDA. But I lurked around some of the Help and General forums and helped out enough to get my post count high enough to post it here. I wouldn't abandon XDA haha

I know you're still here, you love us too much to leave

Running smooth. No major hiccups to report. Haven't dug in too deep yet, so don't know if there are any hidden (more like unused features to me) that aren't working as should.
Once this thing gets PIE + other PA goodies it'll be rock solid.
Good job OP. And thank you.

ROM is running very nice haven't had any issues MMS and data all working strong

great job with the port glad to see the dna working up toward total 4.4...no all we need is verizon -_- lol
i would run the rom but im not a fan of PA, but i know others are so good job
quick question why is it AOSPA(Android Open Source Paranoid Android) and PAOSP(Paranoid Android Open Source Project)?
seems a little antigrammatical(lol made up words)

I would love to see this become Official

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....

Yeah, sometimes is hard to leave the stability of what a Sense ROM brings but glad that you're trying this ROM
Let me know if you find anything that needs attention! :good:
Running well so far. Little bit of screen tearing and some glitchiness with recent apps appearing and disappearing. All I've found so far, great job! Lots of cool features.
Sent from my EVO
I'm also having trouble with the recent apps screen. Rarely shows the apps. Not a big deal though, as I can still kill all the apps.
The Facebook app closes on it's own sometimes, but I'm fine with that.
Besides the minor bugs, awesome ROM.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
EDIT: When I use the "kill all" button on the recent apps screen, it says "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." And doesn't kill any apps. ;(

How is the audio/speakerphone volume and quality on this build?
As good as Stock Sense 5 and GE?
Have been using this Rom all day, very smooth, love the scrolling animations. Sound quality is good and loud, I don't listen to enough to compare to stock, but it definitely isn't bad. Halo and pie work great

Yea I'm not sure why because i think this is one of the best non-Sense roms out there. Its super smooth, great animations, enough customization etc. I only notice a few hiccups from time to time, like the app drawer button doesnt work , but then you press the soft key for the home button and it fixes it....small things like that.
I do however have question about the phone app and the speakerphone. For some reason since i have activated Halo, whenever I am in a call and i need to use my phone app during a call, the phone app becomes small like a halo app. It doesnt give me the full screen use. Is there a way a change or fix that?
And i used the speakerphone today, and everything seemed great on my end but the people on the other side said they heard really weird noises and could barely hear me. Is there a fix for that?
Great job to the Dev. I think this might become my new daily driver, and i was on Venom. Venom is great but when I want a break from Sense, this will probably be my goto.:good:

| AOKP / Team Kang | CyanogenMod | Paranoidandroid | Preludedrew | JMZtaylor | iBlowpot |ChaOS Team | Liquidsmooth | Xplodwild |
| CarbonROM | Rohan32 | LorDClockaN | Dastin1015 | Bajee11 | SlimROMs | Daxxmax | Beerbong | Sammyycakes | Team BAMF |

I only ask, because I know it's borked on the 10/15 AOKP build, and the Linaro build, that DaMadOne has, in the original development thread. It will will record for about 10 seconds, and then stop, and not save anything.

God this looks so GOOD, wish I wasn't stuck on ME7 UGH, god why, oh why!!!!!
2 things at the moment keeping aokp from being a dd in my opinion. Camcorder autofocus causing the video camera to stop and Bluetoothsstreaming skips and connectivity issues with my cars head unit.
That being said....can't wait to give this a try lol
Glade to see it up, been testing it Love me some DU!
So how about this is my first du experience and I would like to say that the animations when scrolling are absolutely amazing. Never seen nothing like it. It's ruining really nice and packed full with features I haven't seen before. Thanks this is great.
I'm not *****ing just curious on custom hardware remapping and the advance menu to disable vibrations lights and hardware keys. Just wondering if I've missed something throughout settings. Im the type to stealth it out and use navigation soft keys..
But again thanks

Quick questions from the S4 n00b (but I'm sure others may find it helpful (other n00bs)):
1. Do I need to be on a particular kernel to run this properly?
2. VRUAMDK only? VRUAME7 only? VRUDMI1 only?
3. Do I need to be on a particular recovery to run this properly? Or it doesn't matter as long as its custom?
4. Do I need to be S-OFF or S-ON or does it even matter?
5. Running the last CleanRom for the S4 (4.2.2 on VRUAMDK), really liked the multiwindow feature (kept from the stock Samsung load), is there a way (for end-users) to add to this ROM?
Thanks!
Awesome work, I hope I can run this ROM soon

1.It flashes the cm (I think) kernel , so no
2.I think you'd be safe with ME7 & MDK, not the latest
3.you need to be loki'd for mdk and safe strap for me7
4. Wrong phone buddy (if I'm not wrong)
5.Not currently, it has to be built into the ROM,and without touch wiz framework it can't be done.
Hit thanks if I helped

For now, use Gapps minimal. I personally use Banks right now.
I haven't had time to test TeamOctOS's gapps packages on the LG.
Known Issues:
There are two theme engines built in, "Themer" the new CM theme is not fully implemented, and as of now is NOT to be used. Regular TMobile theme engine is fully implemented and works great.
Second known issue: Device Tunables "Advanced" menu will force close for now as we implement Geeb device specific settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat

While we are certainly not requiring donations or money. But donations of money or devices will certainly speed along development. We plan to purchase and build 3 identical servers to be able to handle the work load of building our ROMs. Hosting, Electricity, and Parts alone are out of pocket at this point. But we love what we do. So, if you feel led to send us a device(even old ones you've moved on from, or new ones) or small donations towards our server project we'd be extremely appreciative. Contact @Dubbsy for device donations. He will make sure they get to each team member as needed. Thanks to all the users who make it feel like we are doing something that people enjoy!

O My God Im So EXCITED.... (my first second post = ] ) oh, bout the ROM too...
OMG thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I just switched from a Nexus 4 because I needed LTE. Coming from a ROM gold mine to the Optimus has been... interesting.
This is the quickest ROM I've tried so far. Settings in build date? I like it! You even have the expanded clock settings... this is golden
Thanks again!

Latest twrp has problems, backdate to anything in the 2.6 range or earlier.
I installed it with Philz touch and it went smoothly.

I think it's earlier trwp versions with the problem. I figured it was because the ROM downloaded correctly...I was on 2.6.3.0when I flashed OctOS the first time. That's when I received that error. I headed over to brothaedhung's PAC thread and used his 2.7 recovery. The ROM flashed w/o a problem

I used BrothaEdHung's TWRP 2.7 and the rom flashed flawlessly.
However, I did run in to some other issues.
Tentacles\Device Tunables\Advanced FC's consistently.
Every so often, my navigation buttons, both cap keys & navbar, would stop responding. The only wy to resolve this was to reboot. I apologize for my lack of log, but I already wiped & restored to my old rom.
In the form he tells you that tumbles/ advanced fc they are try to work on a fix have hope in the dev
Sent from my LG-E970 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I can confirm the cap keys and navbar keys sometimes not working. The reboot fixes it
Sent from my Optimus G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Unless I cannot find it Quick Unlock is missing from this ROM, I use a PIN number to unlock the phone and having to click the enter button gets very annoying. I was trying to avoid installing Xposed/Gravity Box, but it is not a big deal.

"Tentacles\Device Tunables\Advanced FC's consistently." is a known issue as mentioned in the op.
cap keys and navbar problem I personally haven't seen in nearly 2 weeks of using this build.

Windows or Linux?
If windows, verified that device manager is seeing your device as adb?
If linux, would be weird, always works in linux for me.

Yeah I'm running batterystats permission in xposed. It actually stopped happening though so that's cool.
That's awesome I look forward to the update. Thank you so much for your work.
Wonderful ROM. Pretty stable and battery efficient. Thank you.
But I found a bug where bluetooth connection drops as the screen goes off during a phone call. It reconnects if I turn the screen back on.
Also, somehow, google maps navigation didnt stream the sound over bluetooth after a bluetooth phone call. I had to disconnect and reconnect it to have it play sound over bluetooth.
Thank you again for this wonderful rom. Hope you could fix them in the future.

What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based so expect all AOKP goodies + new additions.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or AOKP team if it conserns their modifications. This rom isn't AOKP supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

NICE!!!! Liked this Rom back in the 4.3 Days. Nice to see it get the KK treatment. Another Rom to play around with. Thanks heaps!
Great rom so far. Excited to see how development goes. You should add an lcd density changer, the previous rom i used had one that allowed the dpi to change to 240. Either way good work

Seems like an awesome rom, booted up with no issues. Anyway to get SlimPie added to this rom? Thanks in advance.
Great rom! Loving the aokp base. One thing is that Viper4andriod don't play well with this rom along with cm based Roms. Audio becomes choppy when screen is off.

What's a good app to use to increase volume for this ROM. Also, for some reason my phone has no light when charging or low battery. Not really a problem, but would be awesome if anyone has the solution
