[request] original stock android 4.3 recovery from i9300xxugmk6 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i m trying to keep my phone in "official" state to recive ota upgrade, untill i was using 4.1.2+cf-autoroot everythhink worked ok
i resetted status with triangleaway and allowed tracker to run to stay in "official" status, and i recived ota upgrade to 4.3 (italian nobrand)
After upgrading to 4.3 i lost root so i re-rooted with cf-autroot but this time i can't stay in "official" status and i dont know whi because everythink
is the same... i used triangle away to reset again flashcounter... but i got "personalized" status and not "official"
so maybe problem can be the stock recovery that cf-aturoot flashed after rooting... maybe samsung upgraded it from 4.1.2
can some one provide the stock "ready to flash" recovery of the 4.3 firmware ugmk6 ? So i can make a test to understand if problem is that or maybe samsung make new kind of check to discover phone status...
Thanks & sorry for my english.

You do not post questions in development .

Works with the 4.3 recovery.img and triangle away play edition download stock firmware an unzip this flash recovery.img with mobilodin and use triangle away play edition

But the flash counter
Yes, but the flash counter? I want to restart it to 0
For that you need triangleaway app. You can buy it from play store or download for free from chainfire's thread

yes, i know that application but first i must install this app and reset my counter, after that i flash my rom with odin pc? If i do like that i will have flash counter 1 again.
Your count will increase only when you root the new rom

I am not gonna root my phone again, just flash it with stock jb firmware. Is there any chance of getting my phone with stock fw and flash counter 0,without root?
You use triangle away now . This will reset your counter to 0. After that flash the new rom

[Q] Why is my devide status modified?

Hi
Just got my first Android device . It's a GT-I9300 with Android 4.1.1 (JRO03C.I9300XXDLJ5).
Apparently the seller, updated the stock version to 4.1.1. I found out my version is an official Samsung version (India).
I checked the binary download count and it's 1. The device status is modified. I don't know why
From the short search I made it seems flashing an official ROM should not increase the flash count and set the device status to modified. Is there a method to reset the counter and set the status to normal again?
Thanks,
Shanti
He probably rooted it to unlock it then to sell it on. You need to root it use triangle away then flash again without root. I recommend mobile odin

[Q] New to Rooting!! i need some answers

Hi..xda developers i have an GT-I9300 JellyBean Samsung Galaxy S3 bought just 2 months back ...and i am interested in rooting... i know what rooting gives to access. But I have some general questions.
Q1: I like S Voice and the apps that are provided by samsung like remote controls and pop play etc..will the root firmware have also this applications.
Q2: My os is currently official Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and I heard that samsung is pushing JB4.1.2 to s3. CAN I USE SOFTWARE UPDATE ON MY my phone to download them?
Q3: if once rooted ...can i get back my offcial JB 4.1.1 back to my phone by any means that could be also downloading from the internet and den flashing it.
Q4: rooting voids warranty...but if i am able restore original firmware by flashing...will it still void my warranty the next time I go to service center...
Q5: what does rooting exactly do...other than super user access.
If possible please provide me firmware links of jelly bean 4.1.1.
A1: If samsung rom, yes
A2: No, but there are 4.1.2 Roms so you can do it yourself
A3: Unroot guides
A4: Yes, there is a flash counter inside your phone
A5: The possibility to flash custom software and write acces to all your phone
To Q4,
rooting voids warranty and leaves a flash counter just like ritchie46 answered
But you can use the app,Triangle Away to reset the flash counter and i think that would restore the warranty
Btw, why search for 4.1.1, you cam download stock 4.1.2 rom Sammobile and flash via Odin

I have a related question too.
I understand that root gives more control and i can then use apps like Titanium Backup, Adaway and some great security apps, but I am not quite sure what it means to the OS/formware. I.e. i needed to do a fw update and had to unroot my S3.
I installed a stock rom, rest the counter, etc. But now my S3 is not rooted.
If i re do the root, will i be putting it back to the old fw, or are there specific root for each rom, or does it not matter?
This is a silly question, i know, but i am not a sw guy so i am not quite sure what i am doing to my device, just know how to follow instructions and understand the benefits...
Cheers
Jonners
Root has nothing to do with firmware. You can just flash any official firmware, and you'll be on stock. Rooting just gives you the root user privileges, and leaves everything else intact. So you'd be on same fw.

Yes you can. Triangle away unroots and reseta flash counter. Full wipe from recovery after flashing official firmware through odin will bring your phone to original state.

[Q] Your Device Has Been Modified.

Hi,
Today I received an OTA update on Galaxy S II (India). It contained Android 4.1.2 (JB). Update went smoothly without a glitch.
But now, after setting "Software Update" on my device, it says, "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available."
What went wrong.?
How can I rectify the problem.?
Thanks.
Note: I have never rooted my phone with custom ROMs. Also, in download mode custom binary download is: NO. No triangle anywhere.
Mate forget about kies best way go to sammobile.com download rom u want flash using odin and enjoy . kies is rubish

it's talk for the network mobile not work on my contry
or
i can't back for old Firmware 4.1.2
or what will happen on my phone
please help
thank you
sorry for my bad english
Alright, basically this is what gonna happen if you do everything right.
This is just standard procedure as DEVer always say something like "flash at your own risk, I am not responsible for anything... blah blah blah"
1. You will lost your warranty if you don't know how to make it back to stock like, which isn't very hard but through not as easy as you thought.
2. Everything is OK if you flash it right. And if your phone isn't locked then your network is OK.
3. Yes, you can always downgrade to 4.1.2 if you want.
After all, just be sure you know what you are doing when you flashing
