Hi there, I just put an SD card in my new One (M8) (AT&T Stock ROM) and formatted it, but the card seems to be read only. Is there any easy way to be able to write to it directly on the phone?

thanks - I saw that, but think it needs root. I was hoping there was a fix for stock ROM. Note sure I want to root a brand new phone just yet

This is a longshot here, but okay. I've hardbricked my phone by accidentally overwriting my bootloader. I need someone to run a script and get a file so I can show it to my dev friend who may be able to help me.

Like a carrier unlock? No, I didn't look for one when I had it.
Bootloader unlock? No, I looked for quite a while.
I've purchased the Straight Talk (Tracfon) Samsung Galaxy S2 Model SGH-S959G. However, the sim is locked. Is there anyway that I can unlock it and also root the phone?

That thread shows how to install a new kernel on the device, which is great. But does that mean it is also unlocked (besides rooted)?

Nope, there used to be an app to unlock it, downloaded it from google play store, but I think you can only find it here at xda developers now.
I think you need to Odin the i777 firmware to it before you can use the app to unlock.

I plan on uploading system dump and maybe you can flash system.img manually.

I am currently from Pakistan My cousin brought it from JAPAN.
It was a rooted phone.
My younger brother installed Root explorer on it.
He changed name of some folders in system folder and restarted.
Its USB debugging disabled.
I don't know how to UN brick it.

Check my forum by searching XDA with device name or via threads started by me on my page.
I have given a rough guide links. Also in all partitionszio, there is a text file which corresponds to device partitions. Find system portion and only flash system. It should work.
Maybe my question have no relation with the topic but it's the only one topic I found about this phone. I wanted to ask how to move app on SD card with this phone. And if it need to root the device, how to root it if anyone hae tried/succeed yet? Thanks
I'm trying to find combination file for A102USQS4ASK4, I feel that I have looked EVERYWHERE with No luck ?. I'm kind of hesitant to try to create a combination file because I'm such a Newbie lol, but at this point I feel there is no other option. Thoughts ?

The only thing I'm trying to do is recover my deleted text messages and photos using Dr.Phone. I know all I need is root access for some of the recovery apps, but my phones OEM is one of the phantom ones.
So I thought to flash combination then stock ROM In order to get the OEM unlocked. ?*?* wrong thing to do ?

The only important part is A102U
Other number will change after every update
