[Q] Mms not working with tmobile - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Trying to see if anyone here knows how to get MMS working on att m8 that's unlocked and used with tmobile SIM card. Got it rooted s-off and custom Rom.

I'm in the same boat as you brotha lol, I got mine unlocked with a code though :/ I'm unable to send or receive mms. Lte works fine.

Same here I can't send or receive pictures. How do I fix that?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Same problem here. Since you are s-off, did you try flashing it with t-mobile rom or maybe gpe rom? Maybe that will fix the problem.

I don't like rooting and roms. Is there a way to do it without doing that?

I don't like it either, in fact, i don't really know how lol.

yea, internet and sms works, i don't see why mms, which combines data and sms, will not work.
There is definitely some built-in setting for att htm m8 that is messing up the connection with t-mobile

Yea probably. hopefully someone figures out how to fix it soon I really need it fixed

Try using a 3rd party messaging app like Textra. Then you can rule out certain cause such as the app or the provisioning.

Location services

I noticed that the clock/weather widget could not show location. It just says current location. When I try to find it, it says location services unavailable. GPS is on and works. Maps works. So I'm just wondering what's going on. It isn't an issue, but I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue and has a fix?

Did that. Didn't work at first, and then started to, but now my GPS isn't finding any satellites. This started happening out of nowhere because they were working. I even tried a reboot. But oh well! We will see!
NEVERMIND- fixed it with airplane mode
I have this problem too. Mine just says current location. I can add my city manually but in the widget it just says current location. Its extremely annoying.

I will try that. Right now back on my note2. Trying to decide which to keep.

Switched back to my One today and the clock widget now shows my actual city instead of the generic my location. I did not do anything in particular.

Try this:
Open location settings
Untick all boxes
Retick all options - press agree
Reboot
Seems to have worked for me and others.

Did you update Maps and Search? Also did you reboot your phone? Try rebooting.

Got a random firmware update this morning....

This morning while I was simply just surfing YouTube I got a prompt asking me to start downloading a firmware update. I accepted and let it download but have no idea what it is. It's a 228 mb file. When it finished downloading nothing happened. Went to the AT&T Software Update menu and it says "Continue Update" but when I hit it nothing happens. Anyone have a clue? Could it be the 1.29 update?

That's what I'm saying. I couldnt even get any info on what the update was. But it's a pretty big file. Hopefully it doesn't prevent the HTC Dev Unlock because we are dealing with AT&T.

The prevention of Dev Unlock is totally on HTC. Unless AT&T is pushing a new Hboot, which MIGHT block it, but it is easier for AT&T to contact HTC and tell them to block the AT&T phones from the procedure.
Yeah you're right I was a little paranoid because I didn't want another HTC One X situation. I rooted and rommed my other One but haven't done this one so I guess I can just test it out and see what happens. And btw, do you know what the current hboot is right now?

I read the other day that a similar update hit the international version and it is believed to be a prep update for 4.2.2
I guess they are breaking the update into parts to make it easier?

Never heard about that. Could be true. Checked the hboot and it has not changed. I've seen literally no changes. It's just kind of puzzling. For such a big file how could it not do anything?

I just did a check for update on my AT&T one, and nothing found.
I am stock rooted though so not sure if that is an issue
Just checked in Iowa on both my ones and nada

At&T did something similar when the LGOG finally updated to Jellybean. The update wasn't that big, but they rolled out a "patch" via OT then a week later JellyBean.
I'm curious to see if this is real and what it does!

Hmmmm...... No update in Southeast Texas either....... Maybe we're all not special!
I just really hope it doesn't prevent any of my rooting or romming capabilities. What I will do is try it out after work tonight at let you know if I can still unlock bootloader and root. But I'm just so confused. The installation took FOREVER. Just to see no change. I really hope it's just a prep for 4.2

[Q] Zoe After Cyangenomod?

I have really been debating flashing my stock AT&T HTC One with the new Cyanogenmod, especially now that they have the Installer out there. I don't care about Beats audio due to the EQ, and Blinkfeed can die for all I care, but I was wondering if there is anyway to keep Zoe or if there is another software package out there that does a similar thing?

Ah ok. Well has anyone verified the CM Installer works on AT&T HTC One with a locked bootloader starting off?
Yep works. Phone rebooted after it unlocked the bootloader causing the installer to fail. But I restarted the installer and all was good.

Rootcloak works perfectly but Xposed sometimes needs to be updated (i.e. rebooted) and it always seems to happen when I want to use ISIS but no complaints/problems otherwise!

Is this promotion over? I have absolutely no use for Isis, but I was intrigued by the $50 credit. Only one of my Chase cards works, but there are no businesses in my neighborhood where I would want to use it. Great tip about Rootcloak, though.
