[Q] 80080148 Error Walshie Download Needed - 7 Mozart General

HI Everybody.
I have done an update on my Mozart and I am left with an update error 801800048 which I believe my phone is now walshied.
It boots but several of the apps will not activate, for example on pressing the phone tile the app tries to open but just returns to the start screen. Meaning I can not access the dialing pad. I can how ever make call using my contacts? Also the wifi is turned off and again the app returns to the settings screen.
I have read there is a software update that will solve this the Chris Walsh item ChevronWP7.exe or WPST.exe. Every link I have tried takes me to the expired page. Please could someone direct me to an active link or supply the program?
Thank you for any help you can offer.

[Q] Too many pattern attempts - LOCKED

Hello everyone.
Today I left my phone (galaxy S2) in my cousin's hand, and he tried to unclock my screen lock pattern. After too many attempts, my phone got lcoked and it asked me to sign in using my google account. I did so, and the phone got unlocked.
But when I press the lock button, or the phone gets locked automatically and I press the lock button to unlock it, the "too many pattern attempts" screen comes back again. Also my sim card is not being detected even though its there.
I have tried rebooting the phone, disabling the screen lock patten in security settings, disabling google account. Nothing has helped so far!
When you disabled the screen lock setting, what happens? You could try booting into recovery and wiping cache. If that doesn't work, then you'll probably have to factory reset.
When I disable it, nothing happens, as in it shows that it is disabled on the security settings. But when I press the lock button, the too many attempts screens comes back again. I tried a fctory reset too. Its still there! This is so frustrating!
Flashing a new rom should do the trick.
No you don't have to Flash
Try this please:
It was all about this "Two-Step Verification" security of google!
I tried everything... and I mean EVERYTHING (except flashing my XooM), but at the edge of giving up, I signed into my google account and issued an "Application Specific Password" for Xoom from my Google account.
I used my [email protected] with that Application Specific Password and it worked. (do not enter spaces in the password)
There is one solution
Hello,
I had similar problem with my Motorola Xoom WiFi. My friends was playing with my tablet and they was trying to guess my login pattern. Unfortunately sign in via Google account did not worked and WiFi network was turned off. So I was looking for way how to unlock it without root access.
Finally I found it. I wrote an application which turns on WiFi. It is quite simple. There is one requirement, you have to have enabled debuge mode. After installing app via IDE (eg. Eclipse) WiFi is connected to known network and you can log in with your Google account. There is also possibility to set network parameters in app code before compilation.
I hope this helps someone with this problem. At the end I want apologize for my poor english

Sometimes simple is best. If you saved the rom, go into recovery and restore the saved rom.

problem after hard reset following official Tango/firmware update

Hi,
A few days ago, I updated my HTC Titan (bought in 2011 in France as a sim-unlocked device) to the official Tango update (+ firmware update) through Zune.
Then, after doing a hard reset, the usual setup assistant is displayed, but at the end of it there is a new step that wasn't there before the update (titled "Almost Done") telling me that the phone is going to launch some kind of htc specific utility in order to configure my data connection for my carrier. Then after clicking on "continue", I see a black screen for about 15 seconds (like when an app doesn't manage to load properly and WP7 kills it because it took too long to start), then the start screen appears (but I don't receive the usual fake welcome SMS from Windows Phone).
I can launch apps, but the capacitive Back button, Start button, Search button don't react (they cause the phone to vibrate, but WP doesn't react to these commands).
After shutting down the phone and restarting it, I'm greeted by the setup recovering screen (titled "Welcome Back") telling me that Windows Phone will resume my setup where I left it (that explains why the capacitive buttons don't react: they were software disabled because Windows Phone considered it was still in first setup mode. Same for the fake welcome sms I didn't receive). Of course the same problem happens again when I tap on continue, and when I restart my phone.
I tried several hard reset through the usual methods (either through the about menu, or through the menu displayed using VolUp+VolDown at startup). Still the same problem. I guess it's a bug that should happen on many Titan devices. I contacted the HTC support and they told me to send my phone back to HTC for repair
Of course Zune won't let me restore the backup because of the firmware update not longer compatible with the backup.
Did anybody have the same problem with a stock htc titan rom?
I'm also wondering what is the new "HTC Log disable" command on the "CUST APPSBL" screen? I'm sure it wasn't there before the update. Is there some kind of htc specific logging that is enabled by default (since it is a "disable" command). What is being logged?
Also, the red diode (indicating when the battery is charging) is being lit during startup, which didn't happen before the update. Does that mean something?
Hi,
It is quite normal for the new Tango ROM to display that extra HTC specific step, even though it doesn't work!
I experimented with the Titan a bit and found that as soon as the Start screen appears after setup, before doing anything else, long press the Connection setup app in the app list and uninstall it.
It will enable normal functionality.
If needed you can always download it again from Marketplace.

It happened to me too!!!
Moreover, after a hard-reset the HTC Market disappeared in the market!
I disabled the pin to the sim re-formatted, and connected to electricity, and aftew few times HTC market reappeared (!), immediately updated ALL the htc software (even the connection wizard) and everything is OK now... exept the possibility to install INSIDER (by Microsoft)... it is said that the app is not available for my device (!!!) ... I used it until yesterday on my Titan with Mango... I REALLY DO NOT KNOW

Yes, exactly the same problem happened after hard-resetting on tango. I simply waited a bit with the phone on the main menu and the softkeys not working. After a while, I received the WP7 welcome text, and the softkeys started to work again.
maTTeo
Hi all,
I made a new hard-reset.
As suggested by maTTeo I simply waited even with softkeys not working... I only disactivated the pin on sim so that the Titan could find an internet connection.
After receiving the SMS of woelcome on WP7, I immediately upgraded all the HTC apps
Everythings seems fine for the moment...

phone, message and calender closes after 5 seconds

Hi, I don't know if anyone has come across this before, I can't find any relevant threads.
When I open the phone, message or calender app, they automatically close after 5 to 10 seconds with no message. I havereset the phone to as it was when it left the factory for them to work again.... Then after a few weeks it happens again. I have not installed any new apps so don't know how to solve.
Vodafone say send the phone for repair but they will reset it first which will cure the problem. It must be software related!
Thanks
Chris

A few questions

Hello,
I have a Xiaomi redmi note 3 (MIUI version 7.0.9something) and have been meeting various problems. Could you help, please?
1) Is there an english manual/user guide? Whenever I search for one, I get the one page pdf only. I got only the chinese manual with the box.
2) I'd like to import from an old android phone (Samsung galaxy ace, android 2.3.6) the Pou application with all saved data (it is somewhat of a tamagotchi, who I have fed for 3 years, so I'd like to keep him on my new phone ). How to do that, please?
3) Whenever I write (say an sms or a note) and mistakenly touch the finger scanner on the back of the phone, the writing cursor skips to the beginning of the line. How to turn this off?
4) I have been abroad, the phone used roaming, and now the messaging service shows the error "Unfortunately, the messaging app had stopped working". I have to choose in second time to get to the messaging screen. I think it has something to do with the first menu with the whole list of contacts and messages, because when I write a message and then suddenly go back to the menu, I get the same error and the app shuts down. Factory reset had not helped.
5) Same thing applies to the weather application. Whenever I choose the option "Localize" to find my location, I get an error "Localisation failed". Last time this worked was when I was abroad. Upon returning, it had stopped working.
Thanks for the help!

Huawei Honor v10 cannot accept incoming phone calls

Hi all,
I have a major problem with my honor v10, a few months ago my fingerprint sensor button stopped working for no reason, but now I just use the navigation bar.
3 days ago all of a sudden I could not accept incoming phone calls at all, when I get an incoming call the dialer screen does not show up at all, I get a green banner along the top of the screen saying "touch to return to incoming call" I touch that and nothing happens....
I have tried everything possible to fix this to no avail, I even did a factory reset and that did not work....
Please find attached a photo of the problem and I also managed to save a logcat using notepad +
Here is a pastebin link of the logcat:
Logcat when reproducing the phone call error:
https://pastebin.com/ehec4KDi
If someone could read this logcat and tell me if it is a software or hardware issue I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance for your help
Have you checked that there is a default phone app set, and it's not blank? The setting is usually in Apps - > Default Apps.
Also check that all permissions for the phone and dialer apps are on.
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I have checked all of that and I have even downloaded a different dialer app and home launcher.
I've also done a hard reset and a factory reset through recovery and the same problem is still there.
That's why I uploaded the logcat if someone could please have a look at it and they might be able to read the log and tell me what's going on...if it is a software or hardware issue....I know a bit about phones but this problem is baffling,
Thanks all
Can someone read the logcat for me on the pastebin link please please please?
