no custom roms just yet. only root.
ive been trying to unlock the bootloader now i couple of days with no luck.
even tho with root and xposed and g2 tweaksbox and gravitybox you can dop alot

If we get Loki to work, then we will finally get custom recoveries/roms without unlocking the bootloader .
@Garcia98 is working on it.
EDIT: Bootloader Unlocked, no need for Loki anymore.

+Chainfire Over @ XDA we've got some problems to unlocking the bootloader from the LG G2 mini, any chance (or time) you've got to take a look at this ? Any help would be enormously appreciated

i hope we can make this work ASAP, i just hate that i dont have more knowlidge on this matter or else i would try everything to make it work. :silly:

Is there a way to dump the bootloader.img and then decompile it, so that we can perhaps find something there?
EDIT: Is it possible to dump the bootloader by doing the following?
Code:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/bootloader
exit
adb pull /sdcard/bootloader
Or perhaps:
Code:
adb pull /dev/block/mmcblk0p5
(Probably a case of "Too easy to work")
And then decompile (or probably reverse-engineer it)?

No custom roms yet?
Hy, i'm new here. I would like to know if there is some custom rom for lg g2 mini?

Unfourtunally not (yet)

Probably won't be any custom roms either since G2 Mini is confirmed to get Android L, therefore by October all custom roms will be obsolete. You can expect work to start after Google releases Android L in September and G2 Mini gets it which should be somewhere in October.

Follow this guide to set up your build environment.
Get the 'local_manifest_w7.xml' put it in your .repo/local_manifests folder.
Make a 'repo sync'
It will update your CM source with the w7 device tree developed by Quarx.
Then you can compile CM11 for w7 on your pc using 'brunch w7'.
It complied with no errors on my ubuntu box.
Then you can follow this guide to port it to G2 mini:
How To Port CyanogenMod Android To Your Own Device
Good luck!

[Q] PACMan ROM on P769

I don't think anyone has discussed this yet, but has anyone had any luck porting the PACMan ROM to the P769? I know it's been ported to the P760, but what would be involved in getting it to run on the P769?
Well, if anyone is interested, I got adamz667's PAC ROM for P760 to boot on my P769. It seems to work just fine so far. I had to remove the NFC apk and I'm having a problem getting Superuser to work, but hopefully I can figure that out soon.

Yes, my bootloader is unlocked. I was going to upload a CWM backup, but I don't think I'm able to upload a file that large.

Yes but you need to be more specific.. What phone (P what.., carrier etc), is your bootloader unlocked, all that good stuff.. short version is yes, but things are a little different on different phones.. It is a lot easier on everyone if you tell people these things.. not trying to sound like a jerk, but help them help you

As travioso said... We need more information on your device specifics.
Do you have a nandroid backup, pre CM or one of your stock ROM? If so, restoring a device backup would be the easiest method.

LG Optimus L9 P769, bootloader unlocked, but i have not done back up before installing CM.
He has cyanogenmod so of course his bootloader is unlocked.
You must flash stock kdz file to go back to stock rom. This General section has a sticky thread about it.

[Q] How can i root LG G2 MINI 5.0.2?

Hello guys!
Having recently updated a lollipop my LG G2 Mini D620 LTE no brand with KDZ file available on the network, I was wondering if you could do a root on the device to be able to uninstall any application annoying and increase processor speed "1.2 Ghz- -> 1.4 Ghz"
Also, I would prefer not to use the apk KIngroot because reading, I noticed that send some sensitive data on your smartphone in a remote server ...
Thanking you in advance, I offer a warm greeting!
Kingroot is the only method who worked for me so far.
And a simple root app can't overclock the CPU. You need a custom kernel. Bootloader and recovery work for Lollipop, but there still isn't any kernel compatible with that release. Give the developers some time.

No, it's a different aboot. Some developers told about it in the Lollipop thread, in the next days Zaaap72 will publish the guide to unlock bootloader in Lollipop.

I'm also looking for a custom rom for tribute 5. Have you found any? I think due to locked bootloader it's not supported. If you have found a way out to unlock bootloader please let me know.
I can confirm it working, on Virgin Mobile, following this tutorial:
