[Q] Encrypt phone, wifi unstable - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I encryptet my Z2 phone, after that it takes several minutes to get wifi to work on my phone. Sometimes it get´s connected but drops it right away. After several minutes it managed to keep it and works fine. will work until I reboot the phone again.
Anyone else seen this issue? stock kernel and so on with version: 17.1.1.A.0.402
Been thinking of getting a new firmware and rom, but hard to get everything setup with getting a new rom. Been reading about fastboot and so on, also my win 8.1 won´t find my phone when entering fastboot, seen a issue about that too. Think I atleast have root though
Anyway, this issue is wifi for the moment.

Wi-Fi & GPS unresponsive

I seem to be having a small(or large?) issue with my Wi-Fi connectivity - after rooting my phone it didn't surprise me that I lost GPS functionality, it didn't surprise me that I never got it back but hey I can live without it if it means I don't have to wait for HTC.
What's beginning to bother me is the fact that my phone can't manage a Wi-Fi connection it could 3 days ago.
Tried restoring my 1st nandroid backup that I made immediately after I flashed the custom recovery and I still had no Wi-Fi. And no GPS.
Also I have tried flashing 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 as well as 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29 with no result on either front.
Please help me out if ya can.
What ROM you using pal?
1st thing to try is to put both your GPS and WiFi on, then turn your phone off and back on again.
I'm currently trying to use SenseHero 2.2
I have tried turning on both WiFi and GPS and rebooting, I have also tried similarly - leaving them on and flashing the radio too...
It doesn't seem to be helping all too much.
Furthermore(and the part that concerns me most) I have tried restoring my initial nandroid, the 1st one I made and saved after flashing the custom recovery and still nothing.
and there's no mention of issues in the Sensehero thread no?
If I was you,....
I'd backup my sd,... Format it. Then run a RUU so it unroots and goes back to stock state,... then see if it is working again or not.
I've been searching threads over as many forums I can find for DAYS. But still a no go..
I suppose I'll try to unroot it. I haven't finished researching the RUU's, does it matter which one I use?
Well apparently unrooting the phone doesn't reinstate the GPS or WiFi connectivity.... GPS still "unable to determine location" and the WiFi still SEES the WLAN networks in range but still cannot connect to any of them.
I can't seem to find anyone else who has had problems with WiFi connecting let alone wifi AND gps problems.

[Q] Wifi not working after 3588 update

Hey,,
So I received my G tab today and connected it to the internet and downloaded the update (Tap UI V.1.1-3588).
However, after the update got applied, when I try to turn on Wifi it says error. I tried to restart the device twice and on both times the wifi worked and actually connected to my network but then disconnected and went back into displaying the error in matter of seconds. I have searched the forums but it seems no one with stock Rom have had this problem.
Thanks in advance
I had issue with the stock fw, never ever after 3588 was ok, even when reinstalling
Try a new firmware. Maybe
Sent from my UPC300-2.2 using Tapatalk
I've got the same issue here. After restart I have Wifi for a couple minutes then it disconnects and errors until the next restart. This is my second G-tab and my first one works great.
P.S. Other ROMS didn't help my condition so you may want to pursue return before attempting Rom upgrade. I'm back to bone stock and still not joy.
It works now !
All what I did is close the wifi as soon as it starts, gave it a minute then turned it on.
Now I'm not sure if I should do this each time i boot it up, but, it works !
Try doing that, maybe it was by chance that it worked with me .

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SIII (GT-I9300) International Crashing And Rebooting

Hi, I'm having a curious problem with my S3 and I've been unable to solve it. I watched the "noob" video and tried searching these forums as well as a google search with various combinations of the wording for my problem. Nothing matching my issue turned up, I hope I didn't miss anything.
I recently bought a S3 second hand (yes, i know, i should have known better). It was rooted and running some kind of custom ROM when I first turned it on, but I was willing to deal with it until I double checked the procedure for getting it back to stock and starting again myself (nothing against the original rooting and flashing, just like to know exactly what I'm running).
When I purchased the phone I obviously checked that all of the main things worked - calling, texts, mobile data, wi-fi etc. I get home and connect to my home wi-fi and start checking things out and setting stuff up. The phone randomly rebooted. I carry on after the reboot and about 10 mins later, another restart.
To cut a long story short, there is something wrong with the wi-fi. If I turn off wi-fi in the settings menu and reboot, everything works great. No crashes, no reboots. If however I enable the wi-fi about 50% of the time it will crash while wi-fi is activating. The other 50% of the time, it will crash as it goes into the screen lock (either via timeout or pressing the button).
I've re-flashed to it's stock version of Android (using the 'Samsung GS3 Toolkit and Odin), same problem. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance
You can try updating the modem and RIL to the right version for your country, search in general forum. If it still reboots then try with another wifi source - I've seen some routers cause problems on client machines.
If you do a factory reset when you flash the modem, plus you have the latest stock ROM on board, then any remaining problems are probably hardware.
Test it fully after the factory reset, before you add any apps etc.

After much experimentation and flashing of various files to my phone I have further narrowed the problem. I've still not solved it, but getting closer I feel.
After a clean ROM flash it works like a charm regardless of how much i use the wifi etc. It's only after the first reboot that the trouble starts. It will begin randomly restarting. If I perform a factory reset from recovery mode, it works again, but starts resetting again after a reboot.
Any ideas?

Weird wifi connectivity problem

Hi guys, i have a Sony Z2 D6502. I am facing a really weird wifi problem. I can use and connect wifi on 4.4.2 or 314 official, and also cm 12.1 build 5/22 and the previous ones. but when i flash official 5.0.2 build .726 or .28 or newer cm12.1 roms such as build 05/25 or 06/02, my wifi acts crazy. First of all, if it would connect to my router, it can only stay connected for 10-15 seconds max. But most of the times the wifi sections is searching for signals and wifi ssid's constantly show up and then suddenly disappear, and this process of searching continues endlessly. But as i said, sometimes it would connect for 10-15 secs. Also some other times, i will just get a "failed to connect to network" error and it seems the device wouldn't even attempt to connect to the network. i have tried flashing using full wipe, and even flashing existence y patch for d6502 baseband and it didn't help my situation. Come to think of it, I have to say that i have never really been able to use stock 5.0.2 with a normal wifi. When i first tried d6503 lp update with d6502 patch i had the exact issue, and that is the reason why i switched to CM and CM12/12.1 were working normally until the newer releases (05/25 or later ones). If any of you know any solution or any ideas or fixes, i'd really appreciate it.

if you with stock .726 or .28 have issues, then; or you have a faulty d6502, or you have issues with the AP's you are trying to connect maybe.
i would flash .28 and go to a Sony Repair center, im sure its still on warranty.
its hard to me to mentally visualize your issue and fix it, and even so, seems you are the only one reporting that issue ...

Numerous seemingly unrelated issues

I've been having many software issues with my M4 E2303, ll try make this as short as possible:
I keep on having issues with every firmware I flash. A problem will go away after flashing, but a different one will pop up.
Please note all these firmwares are STOCK.
Issues include:
- Very poor wifi signal (Marshmallow ONLY)
- Wifi "freezing" (Seems like a wifi driver crash) (Lollipop only, fixed after reflash)
- OS Crash with soft reboot (lollipop, happened alongside previous wifi freeze, is still occurring on new firmware)
- Bluetooth not function (seemingly fixed)
The issue im currently experiencing is the OS crash, which occurs randomly with no discernible cause.
From what I can see, flashing with flashtool may well install a new OS, but it seems like it doesnt completely remove elements of the previous firmware. Is there any way I can flash and make sure all my system files are completely replaced by the new firmware?
UPDATE:
I installed stock android 5.0 and booted successfully, WiFi had an issue. I turned off the phone to let it charge and.... it won't turn on. Gets stuck in a infinite bootloop from which I cant recover. I've flashed it twice with different firmwares on the Xperia Flashtool and used the PC companion to do a software repair twice. Still dead... Left it overnight turned off and booted it in the morning, reached the purple waves and froze. Thats the furthest its ever got into a boot.
Don't soft reboot the phone, it's not recommended
Well my phone is actually Rebooting it self for no reason RANDOMLY i don't know why but it happened to me more than 5 times
