[Q] Compare Desire 610 (US Version) to LG L90 (D415) - HTC Desire 610

Hello All,
I am having trouble deciding between these two. Please let me know which phone you think would be a better option. I found both for $120.
Thanks in advance for any advice,

Desire 610
+ BoomSound speakers
+ Better MicroSD support (128GB)
+ Sense 6 interface
+ LTE support
- FWVGA screen
- Large design
LG L90
+ qHD screen over FWVGA
+ Huge battery
+ Physical controls
- No LTE support
- Old LG UI
I'd personally go for the 610 over the L90 due to it's better music support, although the L90 long battery life also makes it very appealing.

[Q] What new smartphone should I buy?

Hello! I am currently stuck with an ARMv6 MDPI device, the LG Optimus One,so now I need a new one. Since I have a pretty large budget,I was oriented to the HTC One X. But then I found some other valuable devices,so now my choices are:
HTC One X
LG Optimus 4X HD
Samsung Galaxy S3
Now,let's compare them. I don't know if I should buy the One X because of some reasons.
1: Displays
HTC One X has got a Super IPS LCD2 4,7 inch 313ppi display
LG Optimus 4X HD has got a 312ppi 4,7 inch TrueHD IPS
Samsung Galaxy S3 has got a 306ppi 4,8 inch SAMOLED Pentile Matrix
Now,which one is better?
2. Let's compare batteries:
HTC One X has got a Li-Po 1800MAh battery
LG Optimus 4X HD has got a Li-Ion 2150MAh battery
Samsung Galaxy S3 has got a Li-Ion 2100MAh battery
Obviously, the best should one the LG Optimus 4X HD and the worst should be the HTC One X. With its 1800MAh,it has also got a Li-Po battery. Is that better than Li-Ion,what do you think?
3. Now,other specs:
Frontal camera is 1,9MP on Galaxy S3,but 1,3 on O4X and One X
One X has no SD Slot(but 25GB of dropbox free space),while Galaxy S3 and O4X yes.
One X has got HTC Sense 4.0,but battery is not removable.
Now,comparing all those things, which one would you choose? I can't make my mind right now.
If you're just gonna root them go for SIII since it's the world's most popular phone.
If not then you gotta look into software, personally, after only seeing a few pictures of the phones, I would say Sense 4 (HTC) Is the best looking UI. Though stock ICS beats them all.
If I was to buy a new phone right now, today, it would probably be Xperia S. Or if it's too tricky to remove the battery, I would consider Xperia Acro S.
HTC sense is horrible in my opinion. I own a galaxy s3 and i could say it's the best phone i ever had, and i owned a huge collection: iphone 3g, 3gs, iphone 4, 4s, HTC magic, HTC hero, galaxy sii , galaxy nexus, galaxy note and galaxy s3
Yeah,I won't buy the Optimus 4X HD. The challenge is now between HTC One X and S3.
I would buy the HTC One X. I found another reason stopping me from buying it: HTC One X has not got menu button, instead of it there is a multitasking button. Obviously it can be remapped to menu button, but how will I do that with non-sense roms? Now,reasons why I would not buy it
Li-Po 1800MAh battery
Non-removable battery
Multitasking button
No sd slot and display, but that ain't important at all now.
I will get informed about the multitasking button. If it's all okay,I might go for it.

HTC doesn't support its products as it should

Galaxy Nexus or new upcoming Nexus devices!
The HTC has horrendous battery life and a non replaceable battery so if you get caught short on battery you really are stuffed, and if you planning on Rooting there is always the possibility the phone freezes up and since you can't pull the battery you really are in trouble.

[Q] HTC Butterfly - the next Nexus??

HTC's 1080p display Butterfly has a "with Google" logo on the back just like the LG's prototype Nexus has. Will Butterfly will be launched as a HTC Nexus with some sacrifice on specs??
LG Nexus is based on the LG optimus but with a lesser MP camera and a slight change in design . So will the same strategy be followed by HTC too? or rather followed by Google for HTC ?
1080p + snapdragon s4 + waterproof + 2gb ram = Best Phone
I hope it will be a nexus

seems like a good phone to carry on the nexus legacy.. but 2020 mAh battery is a let down for a display like that.
That doesn't guarantee its a Nexus phone. My Droid 3 and some other phones that ship with Gapps will say "with Google" on them.
I hope it become one of the next nexus from HTC. I really don't mind the battery as long as it comes with at least 16 gb internal storage.

LG G2 Mini or HTC Desire 610?

Hi. I'm wondering which device is better. Im interesting in the camera and the sound quality (with headphones, I love to listen music). Some reviews says that LG G2 Mini got a better camera but other reviews says just the opposite, that the Desire 610 got the better one. So, what do you guys think about it?
Greetings!
Hi,
I don't really know the HTC Desire 610 but I can tell you some stuff:
Generally, if you are a big fan of Custom Roms like Cyanogenmod or Paranoid Android, you should choose another device.
The HTC Desire 610 doesn't support Cyanogenmod at all, the LG G2 Mini does, but it doesn't work 100%
As you mentioned, you are a fan of good cameras. The LG G2 Mini has a pretty good camera in Stock Android (That's how you buy it) but the Camera in the Cyanogemod has quite some trouble. So if you decide to buy a LG G2 Mini you should not go with Cyanogenmod until that is fixed.
I'd say that the biggest advantage of the LG G2 Mini is its batterylife which is just ridiculously good. It is very cheap as well and offers pretty puch for its price.
So to conclude I'd say that you should buy the LG G2 Mini if you are a fan of cheap phones with good battery life and if you like Stock Android
Thank you mate. Finally I decided for the LG G2, I hope to not regret

[Q] Suitable replacement for the S2?

I love my S2 and now that it seems to have moved on, I thought I'd ask you guys if you have any recommendations on where to go next....
What phones out there stack up?
If you will remove touchwiz and install a custom rom, you will like the s4. s5 doesn't have much good rom development yet (mostly stock based roms).
For value, get the one plus one and if you can't get it, buy a nexus 5 (still perfectly fine for everyday use). The moto g 2014 is also very good too.
For best specs and probably best phone of 2014, I personally recommend the note 4. It feels premium and everything about it is awesome.
If you like front spacing speakers, get a htc one m8. Best speakers by far but average camera.
For best battery, I recommend s5 or one plus one. They both have large batteries and they last long too (due to 1080p screen resolution). S5 has ultra power saving mode, oneplus one doesn't. But on software side, oneplus one is superior).
If you like stock android right out of the box, the moto x 2014 is a no brainer. (Yes, not the nexus 6) However, not many developers have this phone yet.
For the best skinned interface, people (afaik) recommend an lg g2 or lg g3. Both getting cheaper and becoming a favourite for custom rom or kernel developers (like dorimanx for lg g2).

Thanks mate that was really helpful!
If you like the size of the S2, you can try the sony xperia z1 compact or xperia z3 compact.
But i will my S2 till it dies. For me it is still fast enough with a custom rom :silly: And the devives with a snapdragen S400 (which has 4 cortex a7 cores) aren't really faster than our beloved S2 with 2 cortex a9 cores. Both has a clockrate ~1,2 ghz und the instruction per clock hasn't been improved.

[Q] htc desire 826 dual simforum request

hey guys ,
I have got a new htc desire 826.
may I request developers for a sound boost mod for this device because really...it's speakers' output is very low.
And for that root...and you know...
I searched here but no forum could be found.
And moderators ...please move this thread where it belongs...thanks.
Thanks.
I have desire 826 dual sim. 3g is notworking. Phone is imported. Not indian ver. Guys i have changed all sims available in market. Still unable to connect 3g. I m confused. Plz help me
Just bought the Desire 826. Loving the 5.5 inches Super LCD 3 and the boomsound. However it turns out to be a little regret.
Display: great
Boomsound: great sound but just avarage volume
Performance: good, but sometimes I feel the Snapdragon 615 is little weak to push the 1080p screen
Camera: The 4MP Ultrapixel is great for selfie, it smokes my gf galaxy S6 front camera. The rear is just avarage
Battery and Heating issue: the main problem here. It's really easy got hot, and leads the the very bad battery.
