ZV4-ZV6
Step 1:
Download "Shortcut master" pro or lite doesn't matter (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.shortcutmaster.lite)
Step 2:
Go into "Shortcut master" and click the little 3 dot (menu) and click "Search..."
Step 3:
Click the little drop down in the upper left corner and select "System apps" (Just to narrow things down )
Step 4:
Then on the line labeled "Enter text to search" (search bar/line) and then type "IOT" then click the "Search" button
Step 5:
Click on the option that says "com.lge.SprintHiddenMenu.iot.IotHiddenMenuMain" some options will come up click on the little star that says "Favorite" and then click "Launch" and grant shortcut master su permisson (The star just makes a shortcut on the home screen for quick access)
Step 6:
Click on Network mode and use the drop down menu to scroll down and select "GSM only" If done your signal bar(s) should have a little red "x" over them. (This part does not work on ZV8 but I am working to fix it)
Step 6
Click the back button until you get back to "Shortcut master" then search for "apn"
Step 7:
Click on "com.lge.hiddenmenu.vzw_only.ApnSettings" and "Favorite" then launch it like before
Step 8:
Create a new Apn I wouldn't delete any system one's you may end up not getting data or not being able to send MMS (pictures)
Step 9:
Save your settings and reboot (this way the apn and the radio(s) restart. If you really dont't want to reboot you can go into a terminal emulator and run these commands: su then press the enter key then type killall rild then press enter. This will restart your radio(s) the same thing happens when you reboot.)
Step 10:
Go to settings>roaming>scroll down for GSM settings (Check the GSM box and agree to the pop up)

Revert:
Step 1: Go back into your IOT settings and select system selection and change it one of the cdma options
Step 2: Go back to the apn settings and swap them back to "Internet"
Step 3 Reboot and have cdma again

FIXES-
HiddenMenu force close:
Some say there are problems with the hiddenmenu force closing I recommend that you install this copy of my hiddenmenu that I use View attachment HiddenMenu.apk. Install to system>app>. Also make sure that you have your sprint sim in while you do this then put in your other sim. This is from my stock g3 ROM so I guess (thanks lg for the apk)
It's not working at all:
For some this doesn't work at all I recommend you change your rom to this one it works for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/rom-stock-zv6-base-odex-deodex-t2949087 (Stock ZV6 I'm using the odex version).
Straight Talk fix (>>>maybe<<<):
For some with straight talk wireless they can not get it to work at all. So I was thinking and I was thinking and I figured that you could go into your dialer app and dial the following code (depending on ROM) here it is: ##update# (##878283#) <<< Cheat Cheat. This will reboot your phone and update your network profile/prl and might work or break your phone. Make a back up before doing this! UPDATE*You may want to use the cloudy g3 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...6315#downloads(make sure to download 1.2) its based of the international rom but may fix your gsm some members say it does. But you still have to follow my guideUPDATE*
If after doing this wifi calling or any sprint apps go missing then check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/help/fix-missing-wifi-calling-zv4-t2842102
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Second Method (Cm12 based)
I finally found a way to get my phone unlocked on cm 12! The method below is not mine I am just sharing a guide! All credits go to D-FUSE for making this amazing rom I a just putting together a guide in order to help
Go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...m-unoffical-dirty-unicorns-beta-test-t3039365
1) Download the latest version
2) Download gapps
3) Download the GSM build.prop
4) Download ZV4 baseband
Once you have them all downloaded flash all 4 in recovery at once then reboot. Make sure your GSM sim is in the phone when you are rebooting. Go through the set up and everything.
5) Go into the settings and click "More"
6) Click "cellular networks"
7) Click "apns"
8) Scroll down and find yours.
9) Reboot.
Once you have rebooted you should see your signal if you don't then keep reading.
1) Open your phone app
2) Dial *#*#4636#*#*
3) Click the first option and scroll down
4) Click your network type and scroll down the menu then click "LTE/GSM"
5) Once your connection has been established go ahead and reboot
Or.....
Download a terminal app from the playstore
1) Once in a terminal app type the following commands (run each command on it's own.
su <Gets SuperSu premissions
(Press enter/return)
killall rild <kills your radio then makes it restart
(Press enter/return)
If you have any more problems PM me for the quickest help or comment!

I'm assuming this is for stock only?
Update I reverted to stock and followed all directions but it wouldn't read my T-Mobile Sim card.

Yes im using the stock zv6 try going into settings>roaming>avaiable gsm networks and select tmobile also correct the apn

I wonder what data connection options there are when on gsm? I think it's just cdma... no lte on gsm side correct?

Well i dont have anything gsm but I would think so

To see all connections go on the playstore and search "4636" should be the first one (looks like a blank android guy)

My is already unlocked and currently using Airtel India should i follow or use this ??

Will the phone still work on Sprint after this, or does this make it GSM only?

I am also looking for the code if I can find solutions will write
you need to ask this guy @utoprime he was able to unlock Sprint
Removing SIM network lock
Go to dial pad and enter: *#0011#
==> [MENU] + [Back]
==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "Q"
==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "0000"
==> <wait ~5-10 seconds>
then you need to perform as written here
For those with the Mega, the Menu#'s are 1863, not 1663...... but it wil not display #3 at all. One still needs to unlock the Personalization part.
Code:
[SIZE=2]UMTS MAIN MENU[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][1] DEBUG SCREEN.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][8] PHONE CONTROL.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][6] NETWORK LOCK[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][3] PERSO SHA256 OFF[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]Go Back to Main Menu[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]UMTS MAIN MENU[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][6] COMMON[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][6] NV REBUILD.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2][4] Restore Back-up.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]Reboot[/SIZE]
Located both Perso and Settings that involve in the unlock but what you all do and how you do it is up to you.
On the phone com.sec.android.app.personalization.Personalization & com.android.settiings.SimPersoLockSettings. I am a CDMA user so I have no need to unlock my phone at all. You all would need to search for it and modify anything needed.
Oh and when one does this at the bottom to get into Service Mode take the " QUOTES " literal and the 5-10 is more like 10-15 seconds.
=========================================
Go to your phones dial pad and enter: *#0011#
It will take you to the locked Service Mode...
To Unlock do the Following: up up down down left right left right b a st...... LOL JK.......
[Touch MENU KEY] then [Touch Back]
[Touch MENU KET] then [Touch Key Input] then enter "Q"
[Touch MENU KEY] then [Touch Key Input] then enter "0000"
Wait 10 to 15 seconds. You will notice the screen clears and leaves a zero at the top left corner.
Then you will get the Unlocked Service Menu with numbers.

Well it's service mode mainly used for when being serviced or by who have you. Read here for more info:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52255294
The normal user does not usually go in here as they can really mess with things, just like the ##3282# ( ##DATA# ). You need your PRL # to edit your info but you can view all you want.
guys who turned out to unlock L600 ?
I think that you should try to 4.2.2
anybody was actually able to unlock their l600? i've been trying to get this thing unlocked by sprint with no luck
The information contained in this thread is inconclusive to me.
I don't see a resolution here, it's like knowing the path and no way to get there...
I have unlocked pretty much everything in my L600 Sprint to use other network towers, like AT&T for example. But because my phone is locking out my AT&T Sim I can't get a signal to place any calls. The Sim Lock feature in settings activates. And of course I do not have the PIN code. One good thing is every time I try to enter a PIN code, it shows "0 attempts left". So I can try as many times as I want. Could it be possible to write a program like a password cracker to get in? I don't know. But it's a thought.
I have my MSL code. And I tried to get the network lock screen to open like in the original post above. But I get a permission denied message. Overlook the fact that I entered the info wrong at first. Then I corrected it and tried again. Here is a shot of what is going on. Maybe somebody can learn from this.
4.2.2 stock - rooted - SuperSU
Ok. Turns out I forgot to put "su" first. After that, the network unlock window popped up. My supposed MSL didn't work there. Is the MSL different than the network unlock key? (confused)

I'm currently working on a unlock procedure for the G900P and N900P but figured I could stop in here to help you guys. First off, does anyone happen to still be on 4.2.2 (NOT 4.4.2)? If so, are you rooted? I haven't been able to find a firmware to pull the modem out of but I do believe every 4.2.2 modem has the ability to access the nvm/num efs folder which contains the nv item required for the intl unlock.

***Guys This Is A Port So remember it will have small glitches here and there but all in all should be stable ***
For starters HOW TO INSTALL a ROM by SAC23
Installing with TWRP (View All Supported Devices>>> Find TWRP for your device):
Philz can be used and I will post instructions for it later https://www.mediafire.com/folder/qc3z1c59s8g03/PHILZ
This assumes that you ALREADY have TWRP Recovery installed on your phone and you know how to use it.
Download the ROM of choice...move it onto the EXT SD CARD.
VERY IMPORTANT>>> Move all music, pics, important data from internal storage to the ext SD card and/or to your pc, etc. because during this process, the internal will be completely erased.
Recommended Method to Flash SACS Custom ROMS using TWRP
Boot into TWRP
Select Wipe > Advanced Wipe
Select Dalvik, System, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache. Swipe to Wipe (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Select Format Data, Type YES, Press GO. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Swipe to Factory Reset. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to MAIN menu and STOP HERE !!!!! READ NEXT STEP CAREFULLY....
[*]Select REBOOT INTO RECOVERY mode and Swipe to Install Super User. DO NOT REBOOT INTO SYSTEM!
[*]AFTER THE PHONE REBOOTS INTO RECOVERY:
NOW proceed with installing The ROM
Select Install Zip, Drill down to Sac23's Rom you want to flash, and Swipe to install.
Follow on screen instructions (if there are any).
When prompted, REBOOT SYSTEM.
THE FIRST BOOT WILL TAKE A MINIMUM OF 20 MINUTES..... SOME DEVICES EVEN LONGER...
.
.
HAVE PATIENCE
When the Home Screen appears and it is obvious that the install has completed, allow the phone to settle for another 10 minutes BEFORE you begin setting up your personal preferences and accounts.
If everything seems normal, set your phone up and profit.
IF IT WON'T BOOT....(IF YOU HAVE A REMOVABLE BATTERY)...try pulling battery and replacing battery then restart phone and you should see "Android Updating"
After setting up your personal info and you are now ready, the first thing you should always do after flashing any ROM is to go to settings, system updates, and refresh/update your PRL & PROFILE then reboot the phone. Second thing is go to settings, more networks, mobile networks, network mode, and select LTE/CDMA.

Could you maybe go in xposed and hide the stock clock? I think that will work.
Any plans to finish/fix the MOAR 5.0 Port? Big fan of the previous MOAR port, still my daily driver.
yeah same here having sim care issues worked until i reboot now it won't go away

I have it running on my phone now.... Just follow the install guide and it will work great.
Flashed and it, GSM works out of the box, i still have no Cell data tho :S .... if i could just acces the COM port to add additional bands or to see what bands it has enabled i could see if i can enable data, but other than that, it detects the SIM right away

Stock, Barepop or the pure stock rom then I think there is a guide....
Is video playback broken or just me? Also if I unlock the LTE bands using a stock ROM then come back to this ROM everything should still be good right?

Yes, it is a CM bug from what I can tell..... I will update in a few days/weeks and see if that fixes it
Hey man i have this idea for my phone, I've tried to add the bands and everything and it seem to have worked (take it with a grain of salt), since i can choose any band now and it says "SUCCESS"... i enter in the modemsettings and i'm able too choose any network i want, before i wasn't able to choose all of them and now there is no problem after editing the NV values from the post...
now i am not entirely sure but since the WCDMA band my operator works with is 900 i think it does not detect it because of the "Model #" so my idea is as followed, i see you took the cm12.1 from a d851 and made it flashable, can you do the same for a d855 (which is the international version) and PM me or post it?, i will happily try it and see if i can get 3G... as for the LTE bands i can choose any as well but my problem is that i don't have an LTE subscription :V so i cant test that, im only limited to 3G....
you think you can help?

this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
but be extremely carefully a flash to stock will make you lose your ESN and MEID and you will have to enter a new IMEI from another phone to make it usable on GSM again...
also adding bands is kind of a tedious process, so you need to thoroughly check if they where properly added (with shortcutmaster in modemsettings) if you get a FAILED or SUCCESS, because its a pain to flash to stock>root>unlock bootloader over and over again to do the process all over again.
But as far as i know ive been able to add all the bands but the one i use "WCDMA 900" i not readed by the phone, even if i set the band only to check that, i can also check every LTE band now but i cant prove if it works or not.

In the old guide version,
My English skills that I'm not good at...
This person translated it.
Please keep in mind.
The EBS file (VoLTE file) is...
It's in Sony firmware.
In the country you're using,
All the mobile carrier files are in here.
You can use that.
It's in the policy man folder.
You must modify the XML file!
In the area that was withdrawn,
I don't have a mobile carrier band code.
Make sure to change it to a notepad.
If you change the XML file,
VoLTE, of course.
5G works normally, too.
My poor English skills...
Someone wise.
Please deliver it.
We wish.
Be happy always.
How can I get the efs file?
/system/vendor/firmware_mnt/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs/mcfg_sw/generic
It's in the firmware or on the device
So you can either unlock BL & root to have VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc; or keep everything untouched to have Widewine DRM (Netflix HD etc), full camera filter support, etc?
There is just no middle ground, is there :-/

That's annoying that WiFi calling is disabled.
I hope Sony fix volte issues globally for the upcoming Xperia 1 IV. All other manufacturers such as Xiaomi don't have this issue even if it's a grey import. I don't see why Sony can't fix the problem

I am happy with 4G as it is more than enough for my general usage.
What I want Sony to basically fix is volte and WiFi calling as that is a deal breaker considering 3G network will be phased out.
If Sony don't fix volte issue then certain countries will not be able to buy the upcoming Xperia phones as it will no longer be able to make calls.

Yes I have volte working by flashing SEA firmware. Working in Australia on Vodafone only for the Xperia 1 II.
However I haven't heard anyone getting it to work on the current generation Xperia 1 III so that puts further Doubt on the upcoming Xperia 1 IV which would be enough to keep me away and look elsewhere instead. It's not possible to make calls it volte doesn't work and 3G network is shut down

How To Guide Getting VoLTE and VoWiFi on unlisted carriers by flashing mbn file

I live in Canada and I have a BC72 (Asian version). I am struggling to get VoLTE and VoWiFi working. I know that mbn file is the key to getting IMS support and sony seems to block some carrier mbn files (only mbn in sales areas are available). So recently I have been working on flashing mbn files to my phone.
UPDATE:
Everything works fine now. Here's the guide:
FIRST THING FIRST: Data is priceless. Always backup before you modify your phone software.
Disclaimer: Not every carrier in the world support VoLTE or VoWiFi. Please ask your carrier first to get more info if you don't know if they provide support to VoLTE or VoWiFi.
Things you need:
1. PC with windows or bootcamp (virtual machines won't work)
2. An Xperia 1 III with magisk installed (see guide here)
3. A reliable USB-C cable
Software you need:
1. EfsTools (from github)
2. Platform tools (from Google)
3. Qualcomm USB diagnostic port driver
4. QPST (from qpsttool.com)
3. mbn files (extract from your phone)
1. Open command line in the platform tools folder, type
Code:
./adb.exe shell
and press enter, you should see a linux shell on your command line starting with $. Then Type
Code:
su
and a super user window should pop up on your phone screen, after you allowing the permission, the $ should change into #, then type
Code:
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
. If your phone asks "Allow access?", press deny; if it doesn't, go to notification centre, find USB options, and select "No data transfer".
2. Go to your device manage on windows, there should be three "Xperia 1 III"s listed. Choose one, right click, and select "Update driver". In the pop up window, select "Browse my computer" and then "Select one from the available drivers". Find Qualcomm USB diagnostic 9091 and select next. Do the same thing for the rest two. For more details, please check this post and there's a Youtube video demonstration.
3. Open QPST Configurator, check the list and find which COM port corresponds to "LAHAINA". Go to the device manager and disable the rest, ONLY KEEP THE PORT FOR LAHAINA. Quit any QPST tools after this.
4. Open command line in the EfsTools folder, type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe efsInfo
and press enter. No error should occur if you configured correctly, and the COM port in step 3 should be shown.
5. Type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe writeFile -i mcfg_autoselect_by_uim -o /nv/item_files/mcfg/mcfg_autoselect_by_uim
and press enter. There is no expected output so that if there's no error message, you are good.
6. Select the mbn file from the mbn folder. Find the mbn file for your carrier. If you're using a secondary operator, please use the mbn file for the main operator (e.g. Koodo -> use Telus mbn). Copy the mcfg_sw.mbn to the root of the EfsTools folder, then type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe uploadDirectory -i mcfg_sw.mbn -o / -v
and press enter.
7. After the command line done it's magic, reboot your phone. Type
Code:
*#*#4636#*#*
in the phone original dialler. Select Phone Information, press the dots at the upper-right corner and select IMS Status, you can check if the IMS status is registered.
Now, you can enjoy VoLTE, VoWiFi, and even 5G (depends on your carrier's support). If you don't see VoLTE or VoWiFi toggle in your phone settings, try install VoEnabler in magisk or run these in adb shell:
Code:
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.ims_volte_enable 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.volte_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.vt_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1
Sorry for the late posting. I've been finding mbn files for other carriers but it seems there's no specific carrier's mbn files available on Snapdragon 888 (or I haven't found one). I'll update if there's any progress.

Interested in the progress of this...if I can get WiFi Calling i would prefer that over LTE calling for when I go to my Sister's Ranch where there's no signal what so ever...
I'm very interested in this, I've been looking for a way to get TMO Wi-Fi calling working on this phone for a while now.
My phone just died today. I’m not sure if the mbn file caused that. I won’t post the guide until I figure it out :-(

Yes. I am stuck on the same step. It is returning the below error:
Critical error. Could not find file 'E:\Sony Xperia 5 III\EfsTools-0.14\mcfg_autoselect_by_uim'.
@Forbesii Could you please help/guide on this?
Ignored this step and it still works. The VoLTE and VoWifi both are working now (for Reliance Jio network in India). AMAZING article!
Definitely save it for future.
@Forbesii - On a side note: I am trying to add Airtel mbn (India carrier) file to my Xperia 5 III but it simply doesn't work. Neither VoLTE nor VoWifi. Are there any secondary steps/different command to copy this for SIM 2?

I haven’t tested on SIM 2. The second sim at least on Xperia 1 III is not correctly recognized by EFSTools. I might check other methods for the second SIM slot.
Thanks. Will wait to hear back from you.
