Hey GROGG88 you're ROM is Fantastic! Thank you for making a ROM that works like a charm for Deb Model.
More Power! ?

Flashed as second rom via multirom, w8 around 10-15min - dont start, stuck at bootanimation.
Deb, latest multirom twrp.

Great ROM.
I love it. Definitely my daily driver!
Sent from my Nexus 7

great battery life !!!! this is a smooth rom
anyway, is there a mod to increase the sound volume?

Flashed as second rom via multirom, w8 around 10-15min - dont start, stuck at bootanimation.
Deb, latest multirom twrp.
Same with me. Previous build worked fine.

Any solutions?

Awesome. This has been the Primary on my Deb since your first build!

Been running this as a secondary ROM through MultiROM for quite some time now and it works great plus it is very stable.
Using it with the ElementalX Kernel and it sleeps like a baby, the battery life is amazing.

@GROGG88 : do you have the flashable zip of your kernel. I would like to try different kernels but I would also like to switch back
Thanks

Nope, its not available separate. Currently it is just the stock kernel with dt2w.
You can always restore a backup...

The mic seems to stop working. I nandroid restore back to stock and the mic start working again.
I'm not sure if this is a ROM issue or elementalX kernel issue

No problems here. Restore stock kernel and/or boot into safe mode. You have something killing audio in.

Thanks for the feedback. Is it ok if I flash your rom over stock without wiping?
I wonder how the gapps would be since your ROM has included some gapps

Can you? Maybe.
Should you? Not really.

How's LTE on this ROM? I'm only getting EDGE on stock since lollipop. But this does look like a killer ROM and will take it for a spin until someone answers :good:

LTE is working fine out of the box for me. Check APN or signal strength in your area perhaps?

- Where can I find the latest GAPPS?
- The latest GAPPS for Android 4.3 is dated 2013-08-13 and can be downloaded HERE
- How can I get the HyperDroidAOXP bootsplash?
- Download the bootsplash from the attachment ("bootsplash-m7.zip") and flash through CWM, and enjoy! thx to Jobo for the tool!
- How can I get dictionaries other than the included English?
- Download the addon pack from HERE, and install via CWM
- How can I access developer options and performance settings?
- Go into Settings / About Phone and tap "Build number" 7 times (this is not a joke)
- Which radio should I use?
- Use whichever you find best for your region/location. I do suggest, however, to use a matching RIL. (See below)
- Which RIL should I use?
- Whichever radio you use should match the RIL. So if you are using the radio from firmware 1.29, use the 1.29 RIL.
- What RILs exist?
- 2.17 - see in attachment
- 2.24/3.09/3.17 - already in ROM by default

Then you can just take GoogleCalendarSync.apk from gapps and either adb push it, or copy it into the ROM zip and then flash.

Which radio are you using?
I am actually experiencing the same as you, and I have updated to the latest radio from the 2.17 firmware. I think it has to do with the fact that CM10.1 still uses the previous RIL files... I will look into it.

Make sure you have performed a clean install and have not flashed anything else or restored ANYTHING!!!
If you experience a bug then boot into safe mode and see if it persists.
If bug persists in safe mode then provide me with useful info:

detailed description of bug
steps necessary to reproduce symptom(s)
include a logcat
Failure to provide ALL this information will result in me ignoring your post and laughing at you...

hey men tnx , veryyyyyy Fast rom
Nice one! @GROGG88
Could anyone confirm whether or not this rom has the Gapps backup script included? I appreciate that it comes with a minimal set of Gapps included but don't want to have to flash the full Gapps package or download the apps over and over again from the Play Store following the rom being flashed. Thanks.

There's no need since they're included. All others are in the playstore and flashing updates won't touch /data/apps... No reason you'd have to download over and over again.

Yes, WiFi and bluetooth tethering are included in AOSP. If you're asking whether I've made it possible to bypass carrier tethering restrictions, that answer would be no.
Thanks grogg. I remember you from my cliq xt days.
Has anyone tried NFC on this ROM?
All ROMs I try had NFC problem ( I can't make transfer via NFC ).

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps. Anyway to get a working system me and @-+BB+- added some changes from CyanogenMod. We added also some non-AOSP features like init.d support, @alucard_24 kernel for better performance and energy saving, STweaks for advanced kernel settings and support for Over-The-Air updates through a dedicated app (OTA Updates). Maybe something else from us might be added, but please do not ask for features to be added because we're not going to add more to keep this ROM small, fast and pure.

ROM builds are hosted on RomHut
TWRP Recovery v2.8.7.0 with F2FS management support: AndroidFileHost
Installation
TWRP Recovery v2.8.7.0 is suggested for installation
Devices supported: I9505, I9507, I9508, I545, R970, I337, M919, L720. I9515 is not supported.
First time or clean install:
Download the ROM from the link above
Download GApps package for Lollipop 5.1
Put the zip files on your SDCard
Reboot in Recovery
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Optional: convert to F2FS
Select "Install zip from SDCard"
Choose AOSP zip file
Choose GApps zip file
Reboot system
Update from a previous build:
Via OTA Updates:
Open OTA Updates app
Download the update
Press "Install"
Your device will automatically reboot and install the update.
Manual update with TWRP:
Download updated build from the link above
If you do not have the Gapps package, download Open GApps
Put the zip files on your SDCard
Reboot in TWRP Recovery
Wipe /cache and dalvik-cache
Select "Install zip from SDCard"
Choose AOSP zip file
Choose GApps zip file
Reboot system
We don't have a backup/restore GApps script yet. When you update /system is formatted, so you need to reflash GApps package too. In case you don't do it, Google Apps will fail in endless force closes after boot.
First boot after install/update takes a while, wait at least 5 minutes for it to boot.
To convert cache, data and system partitions to F2FS look in post below.

Format system->f2fs
On TWRP:

Wipe->advanced wipe
Select data->change or repair file system->f2fs (Warning: internal storage is formatted, make a backup of your personal data before doing this!)
Select cache->change or repair file system->f2fs
Select system->change or repair file system->f2fs
Now you can install this ROM following installation steps in post above

We mainly talk in the i9505 thread located here, head over for further details about development progress, bug fixing etc.
is there any requirement to go from 4.4.2 to this rom? I am on L720VPUFNG2.
Does it detect international 3g GSM Sim cards ? I have tried many AOSP roms and none of them recognize my sim. I have to use TW based ones.
does it have hotspot mod or do I need to add it?
Bt not activate on i720t
I just installed stable (v1 - 20150917) of this rom, and I have to say: Nice work! I've held off on upgrading from CM11 for way too long because of stability and battery life concerns. This rom is my new DD, and has been working great. Thanks!
Been using a few days. Only things I noticed is mms and SMS are delayed. I use hangouts so it could just be that. I get texts like way after they're sent from friends and I know because of the time stamps. Anyone else experience this?
The camera crashes for me too. I could do some logs or whatever if need be.
Rom kicks serious ass tho. Everything is going well. Def flash this if you haven't already!!!!
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Free mobile app
This rom has been running great. Came from GPE and this seems more solid.
Have been using as my dd for the past several days and will continue to use it as my dd. Great work!

Using Sprint Google Voice integration I had the same issue with Hangouts set as the default SMS app. I switched the default to "messenger" instead, and the delay went away although oddly the SMS messages still go to Hangouts and not messenger. Weird.
I have the issue as i have with the most roms, this rom is perfect but i cant use it at all with my problem. i am making calls but i am not receiving them, it beeps at the phone that calls me but it does not show anything on me.

new update to google hangouts fixed my issues with sms and mms. i am using hangouts version 5.0.104885319
so after switching back over to hangouts and merging my messaging everything is working for me again!
I'm loving this ROM it's almost working perfectly on my L720T I've only noticed one thing that is an issue. Sometimes when the screen goes to sleep and I try to wake up the phone it freezes and I have to reboot it or it reboots on it's own. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Can't wait for the 6.0 M build!

So i'm curious if anybody has tired the new 5.1.1 build that was released two days ago on their sprint S4 without issues?

Installed it using OTA Update and it broke Google Play Services. Then reflashed it from a clean wipe and working fine now although I get an occasional freeze.
Does this ROM have theme support? TIA...
Rom works great, thanks!
I just have two small issues:
1. The capacitive buttons still seems to be active even after I turn the screen off (meaning they still vibrate when you touch them)
2. Anyone know how I can turn off the LED charging light? I tried light manager but it didn't help.

[ROM] [AOSP 6.0.1_r54] noobbuilds | Nexus 6 - Shamu | MTC19Z | 2016/07/10

This is my own custom ROM for the Nexus 6 called noobbuilds. It is an AOSP 6.x based ROM with a few added useful features. I am an old retired guy who enjoys the hobby of builiding and using his own roms. I'm just sharing my rom not competing with the big the boys. I intend to add features and update ROM as AOSP updates.

awesomeness my dude,thanks for building
Thanks! I just looking for this kind of build!
I really like this ROM. Very smooth and ever thing I have checked is working. I have yet to test Android Pay. Anyhow, would it be possible to include carrier information on status bar? Right now, one has to go to the lock screen to verify that they are indeed using WiFi Calling and not data for phone call. In the past, I have noticed in some ROMs that despite the option being checked in settings, it doesn't always turn on automatically.

I have read that Android Pay only works on N6P and N5X for now. I don't use WiFi calling. I'm on Verizon. I do, however, use Hangouts for phone calls and video calls when on WiFi. I will look into including your request in future builds.
Thanks for the report.
Roms looks and feels good, will give it a working day to see whether it is for me.

From my experience contacts worked but dialer did not. Dialer only worked for me on Google img based roms.

I agree w/ @tomzefi. Most aosp roms don't include all required support for the Google dialer . I like my roms dialer and contacts because I use the dark theme rom option. If you need google dialer for Fi try this. No guarantees from me I don't use it.
This is exactly what I was looking for to serve a specific purpose on MultiRom. Thank You

This here is my personal setup and thought i'd share. Usually i test extensively before releasing to public, but if you do find something detrimental to the usage of your device that is either Force Closing or simply not working, let me know and i will in turn inform whether that is something i will tend to.
WETA is made for Music geeks like me, its main focus is stability and Audio. It is Based off latest firmware currently, and will always be using the most up to date firmware base.

Google apps, there are google apps that are avaliable on the play store that have been removed.
How to install...
The usual thing here, I use TWRP so can only recommend that recovery, but i am sure you will be fine with others.
If coming from another Version Base, vendor.img may need to be flashed.. Do this BEFORE flashing the rom!
Make sure WETA zip file is in your internal SD card, and head to recovery and flash the rom zip file. Reboot.
ENCRYPTED DEVICES - If you have your data partition encrypted, and you have set a "Device pin" you are going to have issues with system UI unless you disable device pin in security settings before flashing rom.

8.2
PLEASE READ (applies to magisk users only)- because the permissive setting is stored within the magisk.img.. if you backup data then wipe and restore data after the rom flash then you wont get permissive by default.
These are your options... 1, go into root explorer and delete /data/magisk.img before you go to twrp to backup
or 2, dont restore a backup
or 3, if you have already downloaded and installed V8.2 and a backup, you can dirty flash 8.2 over the top to fix problem
or 4, i dont usually recommend this, but dirty flashing should be fine this time around

Wiping data, cache and dalvik is recommended.
Wipe Data if you are coming from another rom or version base, have crashes or other issues before reporting.
Flashing of vendor.img should be done BEFORE flashing the rom if you want all functionality!
TWRP 3.0.2-2 is needed for Nougat roms onward.

Common Questions
How do i hide stock battery?
How do i mod NavBar?
- Both of these can be found in system ui tuner. You activate this by swiping down the notification pull down and pressing and holding the settings cog until it vibrates.
This turns on a new menu in Settings called systemui tuner, its all in there. If the cog doesnt vibrate. You may need to change your animation scales back to 1x within dev settings.
SystemUI keeps crashing
- Most likely this is a theme issue, especially after a dirty flash. Uninstall all themes and the apps. Flash vendor.img, wipe dalvik and cache, and rom again.
If its happening at boot time right when your device is asking for a password, then you need to flash stock rom and disable device boot security pin. Its a problem with encrypted devices and modified SystemUI.apks
Why is my battery life crap?
- Start by looking at your custom kernel, or by looking at user apps you use. Also simply constantly watching your battery is a battery drainer. The rom is seldom at fault with battery drain problems, and if it is to blame, then it is most probably and upstream google issue and not WETA.
Where is AdAway?
- If you flashed adblocker, then that is what you flashed, not AdAway. These are different things. Adblocker is a simple replacement of your stock hosts file that in turn blocks ads.
How do i get Stock clock back? How do i remove adblocker? How do i get stock NavBar height back? How do i Get A.R.I.S.E back?
- This is so simple and if you ask any of these types of questions... then i slappa yo face..
Just dirty flash the rom again. Select what you want
What is WETA Audio?
WETA Audio is an alternative to flashing with A.R.I.S.E. It replaces A.R.I.S.E with my own setup consisting of V4A (2.5.0.5 or 2.3.4.0, optional Dolby Atmos and drivers and effects from Sony, HTC and ALSA drivers. Its a more simplistic approach to what A.R.I.S.E offers which some people were requesting. Its my go to setup now also.
mentalmuso, can you add advanced reboot menu to power button? can you add volume skip track functionality?
- Short answer, No. This rom is built from stock prebuilt google images and is the reason why its mostly so stable. mods like this require building the rom from source code, which is something im not prepare to dive into at this stage. It takes too much time out of my life and requires a bigger SSD hard drive than i have at this time. Maybe ill have interest in this in the future, if i lose my job or something.
mentalmuso can you add CM visualizer to navbar?
- This mod requires the system to have signature check verification to be disabled. Although its a cool mod, thats one security risk i wont implement.
Why is there no SuperSU app, or Why is there no PHH superuser app?
- The root apps get installed to the /data partition at installation. This means sometimes there is a conflict as you may have left over data from a previous installation. This can be remedied by simply finding the app you need on the play store and installing it. No big deal. The Root binaries would have been installed properly.
Will CMTE be coming to this rom? What about OMS support
CMTE and OMS require a rom to be built from source so commits can be added. I'm not going to build from source.
Where are the extra fonts??!!
stock Android has no way of changing the system font. And WETA can't change that. It pre installs fonts for third party apps to use. Such as 3minit clock

Battery life should be about the same as stock build. I like the fact that Viper4Android comes pre-installed with all the convolvers

Think I'll give this a try later today. Thanks so much.
Just flashed this rom but getting FC when opening dolby app. Also, in viper, after going through the set up and rebooting, the settings aren't sticking. I mean I'm having to run the set up again and again. Did a fresh install and flashed the latest vendor image after the rom as well.
That's kind of weird, I had no problems what so ever...I tried installing it with center clock and got system ui force closes, but reinstalled with stock settings and everything is fine...can you pull a log for the dev?

Ok, now that you have flashed the Vendor image, you shouldn't need to flash it again as the rom won't format the vendor partition. So im assuming by fresh install you have wiped all data and caches? Are you using the stock kernel that gets flashed with the rom? Flashing the Vendor.img after the rom may actually cause a problem with v4a and dolby just thinking about it.
EDIT: also what rom were you previously on?
