For all we know they may be working on a root method but with the lack of success of Gingerbreak and other one-click root methods I would guess that they, like many others, are having a hard time finding a useable exploit...

Agreed, takes 10 posts to post in dev section. His 11th post is this crap!
I've been a member here for a long time, but do not speak much as most questions I would have about any of my devices have clearly been discussed.
I also understand where new members would not know much about whats going on at times, but its nothing more than a simple search. I (and all other members new/old) have to search like everyone else. Its really not hard.
Its also believed with the great devs that are doing what they can (and I THANK YOU for that) to get root available for our device. I'm SURE they will have something up (as in a new thread) that they have achieved what we have been waiting for. Its going to happen. Be appreciative that we even have devs that are making the time to find out all that they can. Without them, we'd be in a world of hurt.

Think of "development" like a business...professionalism is important in business, no? There is a job that is being done here.
If you are looking for the tavern take it to General, if you are looking for the visitors assistance center take it to Q&A. This is all spelled out in the rules. If you have no "developing" to contribute to the "development" please take it elsewhere.
Posting non-development related posts is like showing up drunk to work, and your post is like an even drunker guy proclaiming how BS the professionalism is at said business.

Basically what they are trying to tell you is to post in the correct place (General Discussion). This is the development section. To be honest, it took a mighty long time to get back to normal due to the fact that noobs and cry babies were *****ing about s-off which had everything out of whack. Now that XDA is coming back to life, I'm pretty sure members who have been around for a while would like to see it remain that way. Just be patient grasshopper. We just got root the other day. Let the developers bring you a stable kernel first then we will see SBC soon after.

I know his post isn't development but that is what he is requesting. All these stupid guides that keep on popping up in the development section aren't development either and belong in the general section also. I don't see you jumping on any of those posts and giving them a hard time.

Agreed. The OP was unarguably development-related, and this was the correct place to post it.
Those whiners who incessantly demand that such posts be removed from the dev section have grown blind to the mission of xda, and would become dangerous and tyrannical power freaks if ever given mod status, and would quickly destroy the dev forum just as thoroughly as what almost happened a few weeks ago in this very forum. Xda exists to further development of the operating systems on our devices. The OP wants devs to see his request, and that's a legitimate expectation, so I can't fault him for posting it here. How many devs ever even visit the General Discussion forum?

This post belongs in the Q&A forum and you will find what you are looking for in the General forum. Look for mpgrimm2's thread about bootloader differences and my post in that thread with many of the bootloaders, including the one you requested.
And please read the forum guidelines and post in the correct one next time.

Why help? This is a community that's built on helping and learning (at least its supposed to be). I spent months asking stupid questions and then I got to the point where I could start helping. We need to let the mods sort out where the posts belong.
If I were on vacation and went to a gas station to buy beer and I didn't see any on the shelves, I might ask the clerk if this is a dry county. They would say yes or they'd say no we're out. I wouldn't expect the clerk to say "go do some f..king research".
There is so many mods out there and I dont know if I'm missing out on any. Is there any thread thats shows a list of the best mods?

Nevertheless he is correct in the fact that you are (1) posting in the wrong thread and (2) posting against rules which clearly define: "no best whatever" threads.
Hence just have a look in the Themes & Apps section and evaluate the mods yourself, I bet you will find something that you like.

Also as I said there is so many mods and a lot are on other pages. I may have worded i wrong but what I meant was, all I'm asking is if there is a thread suggesting some good mods to get (not best).
