can i install INU version of firmware in INS device ???
Hello everyone,
Im currently using samsung galaxy note 4 SM-N910G running lollipop 5.0.1 version.
But i didnt like lollipop much.so i decided to downgrade from lollipop 5.0.1 to kitkat 4.4.4.so i searched for the firmware in sammobile.there i found two firmware variations for indian model as SM-N910G (INU) and SM-N910G (INS).my device is INS model.but for INS ,only lollipop firmwares are available but for INU devices kitkat and lollipop are present.SO my doubt is .....both the firmwares are for SM-N910G Indian mobiles.so can i flash kitkat 4.4.4 INU firmware in my INS device?.will there be any problem?.kindly help me....thanks in advance

I tried this few days back.
Everything works fine except 4G
The phone doesn't recognize or enables 4G/LTE
I had to install back Lollipop
Kitkat had a far better Antutu score than LP

The above apk enables 4G. I will try this sometime next week and post the update here. Hopefully it works.

i have buyed grand 2 duos last week,,,,its indian version 4.3
i want to update it to 4.4 kitkat....should i do it...
i heard that people are facing issues regarding it...pls suggest advantages and what are the issues faced by u after updating to kitkat 4.4

Just go to Settings => general->about device and click on software updates. it will show you that update is available and you can update over the air or connect your phone to Samsung Kies3 in your PC and use the option for Firmware upgrade initialisation under tools

do not update...use it as it is 4.4 version is good for multitasking only but gaming performance is bad...For good gaming experience stay on 4.3..there are no changes in 4.4 compared to 4.3 ..do not update to 4.4

thanks ....i dont know wether i should update or not,,,,,see i want a stable and fast phone with almost bug and lag free,,,pls suggest should i upgrade to 4.4

4.4 bulid has a slight better multitasking not a deal

Actually currently its very difficult and you may can brick your device... . So better wait for few days.. . Some method to downgrade may come.. .. :fingers-crossed:

Just wondering if anyone is using Lollipop on their phones yet and if there are any problems with the Gear S?

Dont do it yet, been there and done that on the T-Mobile Note 3 and ended up rolling back to 4.4.2 . There seems to be some issue with Gear Manager. Its a pain to get it installed, and if you manage that then it doesnt want to connect to the watch. Its a little early for lollipop on the note 3. I believe the only original samsung rom is for the 9005 note which wont work on LTE models.
My S5 has recently upgraded to Lollipop and there are no problems with my Gear S. After the upgrade, I'm able to compose mails with the email app, finally. Before the upgrade to 5.0, only reply was possible.

I have installed the original Lollipop on my S5 ( downloaded from sammobile ).
My Gear S works 100%

HOW TO BUILD KERNEL FOR SM-G750A_NA_LL_ATT
1. How to Build
- get Toolchain
download and install arm-eabi-4.8 toolchain for ARM EABI.
Extract kernel source and move into the top directory.
$ make exynos4415-mega2lte_00_defconfig
$ make -j64
2. Output files
- Kernel : Kernel/arch/arm/boot/zImage
- module : Kernel/drivers/*/*.ko
3. How to Clean
$ make clean
4. How to make .tar binary for downloading into target.
- change current directory to Kernel/arch/arm/boot
- type following command
$ tar cvf SM-G750A_NA_LL_ATT.tar zImage
If the Mega 2 kernel can build with previous instructions have the S3/N2 users a TW LP kernel ?? That is the question.

@Androidwizzard @vladeco Would be worth the kernel boot.img of the G800F S5 Mini 5.1.1 TW?? That it has received it since 3 days ago. S5 Mini has an Exynos 3470 1,4 GHz Quad and the same Mali MP400 GPU.

G800H is Snapdragon and G800F and G750A is Exynos but the firmware from the G800F is a better option because of AT&T bloatware and bootloader lock, if some developers like @arter97, @JustArchi and others are willing to do it.

It is stock firmware. There is nothing to be ported. You can find the firmware for A500G on www.sammobile.com
