Is there a Debloated 5.0.2 FTF out there for Z3v - Xperia Z3v General

Has anyone dropped a cleaned FTF for this phone NO root needed

No
It is impossible to debloat any FTF
FTF's cannot be modified in any way
You need to look for a debloated zip to flash

Doesn't the XperiFirm let you make your own .ftf? I seem to remember seeing that it does.

Yes you can make them but they have to be completely stock, you cannot edit them

Someone here said -- as long as you don't modify the kernel it will pass the bootloader test, odd.
You sure you can't? You tried and it failed?

So you could just make a debloated zip then after you install it do a full unroot. I mean what's the goal here because there are so many things you can delete it just depends on your needs are. so if I made a debloated zip you would still need root to delete the system apps you don't need so it gets dicey. I can understand the people wanting Lollipop without root. But debloated and no root I don't.

I just want to be rid of all the verizon crap. Root is not important to me any more. If I have to live with the crap so be it.

I am sure. To create the FTF you need the stock blobs downloaded from Sony.
Besides, it much easier to root, debloat then remove root.

excuse me moderator can someone clean up the z3v section or atleast the root guide it's 64 pages long and how much of that is just the same crap reapeted over and over.

Not cool. Eleven thousand posts should at least command a bit of respect. This forum needs all the help and input it can get, so let's not dissuade the more experienced members from helping.

Someone is being really aggressive... especially towards a forum moderator.

I'm trying to help you help yourself. A thread full of posters reporting no issues should be enough to show you it's a decent and safe app. The worst that will happen is you'll have to reflash, so make sure you're backup just in case, but how many users in that thread have claimed they've had to.

You're the type of person who shouldn't be rooting their phone in the first place... You didn't search very hard at all...
And no, rooting does not give you "free" apps. It suddenly doesn't make the Market free, or unlock your phone. Rooting gives applications access to the operating system. e.g. tether, Titanium Backup, etc.
Use Titanium Backup to save all your apps & data.
Ah thanks, the main stuff is more controll after rooting + themes.

[Q] New to Android - Need Advice (Rooting and Firmware)

Hi, I will be getting this phone today (i9100 unlocked) and have a couple of questions on how to proceed onwards. Any help would be greatly appreciated
1. What is the best firmware and rooted kernel for me to go on?
I want the absolute simpilest way to root my phone (total beginner) and I don't know what firmware I will have when I receive it, I also don't know if I should stay on a gingerbread firmware or go to ics? I also don't care if it is official or custom as long as I'm not sacraficing stability. If possible I would like a rom that is good for battery life. I also want to root my phone in the safest way. There are so many tutorials I didn't know where to start
2. What are some of the essential rooted apps and how do you install them? Through superuser or market?
3. What are the risks involved with a standard flashing/root because I'm getting my phone second hand I don't have warranty.
Thanks for all your help!
Edit: I just say a sticky saying not to ask what roms are the best so I'm sorry if I broke a rule. I just literally have no idea where to start, I've never even used android before. I've found so many methods of rooting and roms but most seem outdated. I would just like someone to point me in the right direction of the up to date way. Sorry if I'm really not supposed to ask!

Superuser is not used to install apps, you would either download them from the market or manually install the .apks

Rooting your phone would void the warranty anyway and bricking is probably your biggest risk.

Yes. There are dozens, if all you wanted me to do was provide a link to a more comprehensive guide, why don't you just learn how to use Google for yourself?

Most of these guides will contain everything you need to know to get started.

Believe me, I tried, but there are so many options, also, I've now decided to opt for a locked virgin i9100 bcause it was 50 bucks more for a new phone with the warranty, so what's the best way to unlock one? I think I recall a free app.

I agree with everyone else. Show some proof or quit trying to get people to erase their internal storage. Funny how after someone asked for proof you ignored the question and kept trying to assure us everything was ok. On another note, no one should have taken this OTA who wasn't prepared to lose root and TWRP, but for those who did it to test for possible anti-rollback and know what they're doing, I salute you, you brave sons of *****es.
fix?

Once again, we need some proof here man. A few screenshots would really help people believe you on this as a lot of people have reported failure when attempting to downgrade. @autoprime has said that a few people have successfully downgraded, but many have also failed, so please post a guide with photos for proof so we can be sure that anti-rollback has not been fully implemented yet.

I haven't tried it, but many people have had success downgrading or obtaining root/twrp after the OTA. There is no procedure listed though, so read the thread closely and figure it out. The flash tool is acting finicky, that's all. Keep trying until it works.
It sounds like this issue is solved now.

Please read or search the thread as it has been answered there by at least myself, and probably others. Even though it is taking longer to writ this post I feel that you need to learn to fend for your self at least a little on the internet. If you don't learn to find things that others have already written, then I hold very little hope for you.
Lol I did do a search, it was just hard to find it for Sony.... As Samsung etc is different.
I did find it answered with a simple yes, but no explanation.

Google is your friend. there are already a few threads that have nearly asked the same question.
Plus you have asked this same question basically the same questions multiple times now, with no response. which means either it isn't possible or hasn't been done.
If your device isn't the European version good rule of thumb is not to cross flash hard bricks can result.
I know in the past its not been possible. unless it has changed
