OnePlus X Stock Camera ZIP - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried no brainer today. I tried to convert the stock camera system app to user app using Titanium Backup. (I know, it's no brainer. )
The OnePlus X camera app has been disappeared now and I couldn't find any work around. Can you provide any flashable zip or any solution?

After installing go to languages and input and check Android Key board
Hope it will be useful.
Download and Install
Now, getting it on your device is going to be easy for some of you, and less easy for others. You'll need to be on Android 4.0+, to start.
If you're on a phone with a UI overlay that has the stock keyboard disabled (eg, Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Sony), you can just download the apk below- no root required. To install, make sure you have "install from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings, and after installation, go into your phone's keyboard settings and enable "Android keyboard." Then, you can switch to the new keyboard. This may also work on some "stock" Android custom ROMs - but it will not work on stock Android builds distributed by Google.
Get the apk here: http://d-h.st/XuS
If the apk doesn't work, you're running a phone that is either A.) running stock Android (as in, AOSP), or B.) running software that has the stock Android keyboard as an option, you'll need to download this ZIP file, and flash it in recovery. That also means you're going to need root. as you'll be writing to /system/apps. Before you do, though, either back up the stock keyboard (if you don't know how, you probably shouldn't be doing this) or create a full image backup, just in case. Here's that ZIP file:

Request: Original GT-I9195 camera app

Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I installed CM11 on my GT-I9195 and everything works great but I am missing the camera app that originally came on the stock ROM.
Is there an apk available with the original S4 camera app or is there a way to extract the app from the stock rom file?
Thanks
this won't work.
as an alternative you could try this camera app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657668

[APP] Motorola stock camera for any rom!

Stock Motorola camera app you can install on any rom
This is a Titanium Backup file that allows you to install your stock rom camera app on any rom, like CM and others.
The camera looks and works 100% like stock camera, the APK it self is not modified in any way.
How does it work?
Download the provided rar
Unzip it
Put the 3 files in your Titanium Backup folder
Refresh/Restart Titanium Backup
Go to batch actions, chose restore missing apps
Select "Camera" and restore
TB will freeze and show no progress! this is normal and ok!
Leave it frozen for 20sec and then restart.
You should now have the stock Motorola camera app under system apps!
(Just please make sure you have allowed unknown sources)
Tested on:
Motorola Moto E with CM11
Motorola Moto G 2014 with CM12
Might also work on non Moto devices, but with absolutely no guarantee.
Happy shooting!
PS
No, you can't just get the APK and run it on any rom, Motorola built in checks that prevent it from installing on anything else then stock rom on Moto devices, yes I could have modded the APK to remove those checks but this way I'm providing you with a 100% clean untouched app.
User @NekoNieves also made a zip you can flash if you prefer that method, thnx!

here's an easier solution! I used your backup files and made a flashable zip.
Flashable Stock Motorola Camera
Another easy solution: use SD Maid app to create .apk file out of it
BTW, why did you post this under development? This is wrong section for such threads, @Exelios

If you try to run the APK on any rom then stock Motorola rom it won't install, this way it will because it bypasses the check during installation, ofc I could have hacked the APK to skip this check during install but I wanted to provide a 100% clean unmodified APK

I see.
TB is cool for restoring. I have restored perfectly fine some apps incl app data (like Angry birds with all levels) created on Touchwiz phone GB 2.3.6 on Tablet running SlimKat AOSP
I think "Migrate system data" option might be important.

Well we are not really doing things by the book here, when on CM12 I open the app in google play it says your device is not compatible with this version, I believe you can try it on any device, I only have motos with me so can't test other devices

OK, I see... That problem could be just Lollipop related.
I don't attend to install LP on any of my devices ATM, so I am sorry that I can't try.

No it's not 5.0 related, it's the way Google Play handles which app is allowed on which rom, the camera it self can be flashed on anything 4.0 ICS or above

We dont have custom recovery or root yet

If it's in zip format, no. You'll need to install via custom recovery, unless someone has made an apk of it.

No Moto Cam can't be installed by using normal installation.. U have 2 flash via recovery to install that on you're device.
Useless post. Moto cam suppose to better than G4 Camera.
Sent from LG G3 D855
What is the point of this? We can't root, we can't install a custom recovery and the g4 camera app is probably the best camera app available.

Its to experiment, try to use different camera apps. Personally, I dont like the G4 camera app. I like Googles camera app. Its just to try different camera apps, that is all.
I appreciate the work youve done to get this camera app. Will be trying it tonight. Will try to see if itll work on my GN2
But this cannot be flashed on the g4 unless you have somehow rooted got a custom recovery for us
And we have no root or recovery yet

Yes. No. :good:
I don't think any camera app will be better than LG's own app simply because sensors like Laser Autofocus and Color Spectrum are NOT native to Android and only LG's camera app can communicate with them using internal APIs that are not exposed elsewhere. Therefore I believe while all other camera apps simply use the camera lens and save the image, only LG's app can accurately detect the distance of the object (using Laser) to focus quickly and estimate the color and lighting of the scene (using Color Spectrum sensor) and correct the image accordingly during post production.
So most of these "other" camera apps will turn out useless if you are particular about the image quality.
This would be awesome if you got the option of using the twist gesture to launch the camera. Think you can make it happen?

Stock launcher apk?

Would someone be able to provide me with an apk of the launcher from the stock rom? I know it's old but its very well optimised for tablets and would be great on my Mi Pad 4.

Hi, ibooth2004...
I managed to cajole my Nexus 9 back into life long enough to extract the stock launcher from /system, without the tablet crashing spectacularly, usually with a horrendous ear piercing screeching sound! The battery is probably knackered. I've since moved onto a Samsung Tab A8 tablet.
Anyhow, I extracted what I believe to be the stock launcher APK, from /system/app/GoogleHome, using X-Plore Filemanager. See screenshot below. I can't see any other APKs which which would likely be the stock launcher, and with a name like GoogleHome, I'm guessing it must be the launcher. You should find the APK attached below.
It's from the Nexus 9 factory stock ROM, Nougat 7.1.1, Security Patch update 5 October 2017. Also see attached screenshot.
I have no idea how successful you'll be either installing it or running it on your Mi Pad 4. It's possible it may not install at all, if you install it the same way as any other APK, because it's originally a system app, and system apps (I think) have to be placed in the system partition/folder which requires a rooted device.
Anyway, good luck and I hope it works.
Rgrds,
Ged.
