I am using the Motorola optimized keyboard since:
-is aosp enough for me, no strange colours or icons here
-is optimized for our screen, bigger keys
As a launcher I use Trebuchet from the last CM9 nightly, but the default Motorola launcher is AOSP enough, just some bigger text here and there.
If you want to use trebuchet please reply here, I will post it and a little guide for having the configuration button (Trebuchet is not meant as a stand alone application, rather is intended to be integrated with CM9 roms)

Updated first and second post.
Added link to Trebuchet (paste it in/system/app and then disable the moto launcher).
Install Hiddenapps or anycut from the Play and create a shortcut to trebuchet settings.
Added smart fw actions and LMI Rescue Security... are they crazy? That was Log Me In!

That's pretty much identical to the AOSP one. Actually it's better, has got text searching and some shortcut buttons.
I think that it would be difficult to swap, I will try with the one from CM9 port for Galaxy Nexus. The camera is better too...

[ROM] [P760] [4.2.2] [BUILD1] [01.08.2013] PolishBlood AOSP

Polish Blood Project

Android Open Source Project
for LG P760
by mikegapinski
Clean stock Android, the google way. That is AOSP. Performance and stability, no rubbish.
What I improved over cm_10.1 and AOSP itself:
System:
Fixed GPS bugs from CM, updated vendor blobs
Performance settings backported from CM with custom option to change GPU clock on the fly; #note1
Added a powerhal to do the CPU frequency autoscaling. Now it should work the right way;
Replaced AOSP keyboard with Sony’s one. It simply works better and has multiple dictionaries.
#note1 You need to change gpu clock every time you boot, not a bug - need to implement feature to save the clock.
TODO:
Add CPU and GPU voltage scaling to performance tab in settings
Kernel:
Overclocking to 1200 MHz;
Option to overclock GPU in userspace;
Backport entire wifi driver from P940 to fix power managment;
Updated interactive cpu governor code from google kernel (branch android-3.4);
Remove all not needed cpu governors, only interactive does the scaling job well.
TODO:
Add option to scale CPU and GPU voltages on the fly in userspace;
Merge more upstream patches;
Add more steps for CPU(also needs to be reworked in system power hal);
Write a little piece of code for GPU autoscaling, should result in better power management
Focus on testing the CPU and WIFI power managment, this are main things I focus on - after getting it to work like it should I will add more features to kernel. I need a great base to start making new things.

I see, then can you make a kernel compatible with other aosp or cm based roms?
I mean, I understand that this kernel would be compatible but can you make a kernel which fixes battery drain?
Just to confirm that this has no relation with cm 10.1 right ??because CM still has lot of problem
thanks in advance :good:
So there is no high battery drain like CM ?
Any chance for mirror? Cause now second time I couldn't download it (suddenly stops around 100 MB).
@mikegapinski:
Michał, could you tell me how you make GPS to work on AOSP? I'm getting RIL errors on e.g. AOSPA+, but I know only that it could be RIL problem (from other device maintainers).

Maybe but I didn't see any deepsleep state on this rom so battery is eaten quite fast. Still some optimalisation is needed, but this rom is a good start :thumbup:

Nothing wrong clean install, maybe more time is needed to enter deepsleep state on this rom much more than on others? I'll check it later.

[MOD]Xposed module to set as default increasing volume when setting a new alarm[/MOD]

Small Xposed module to set increasing volume alarms in android clock as default, and remove vibrate option also as default, both of them together, or just one.
This was only tested with CyanogenMOD's deskclock, others may or may not work.

I ll test it.
Sorry, I didnt tested.. Because I first checked my desk clock app.. It already has the features u described about.. Using mokee rom 5.1 based on cyanogenmod. I ll upload SS in next post
Here it is.
No problem. But it doesn't add that feature. What it does is set the checkbox checked when creating the alarm.
This is the app behavior:
Without that option checked.
This is how it creates the alarm with the module:
It mimics this feature from google clock:
(The option that says "Subir el volumen de forma gradual")

Wonderful mod! I would love it even more if it would work with the OnePlus Deskclock (com.oneplus.deskclock) I think it is similar.
I had a iPhone tweak once that let me configure the fade settings per alarm.
It also had the options to set the initial volume, max volume and fade time.
Any chance of that being implemented?

Notifications channels are not available

Notifications channels or categories are introduced in Android since oreo but unfortunately I can't find anywhere in poco phone. It's the standard notification like old nougat.
I checked multiple apps like whatsapp but nothing yet.

Stock 9.6.22 for me, and this build does not provide notification channels.
I use an app called 'MIUI Hidden Settings' to set channel wise notifications. Just go into 'Manage Notification' section in that app and set channels accordingly for the apps you want.

I've always used xiaomi.eu for all my xiaomi devices it's the best stock based rom out there if I might say. If you check the forum you will see what they do and optimize compared to stock Rom. I've also tried a few aosp Roms for my older phones.
They are based on Chinese weekly development ROM and are always up to date, sure a few bugs can occur but very few times have I even noticed them. Weekly works great as a daily drive.

I need to know the major difference between xiaomi.eu 8.9.20 weekly build and stock global miui 9.6.22 in terms of stability, performance, new features, bugs, battery consumption??
Does xiaomi.eu 8.9.20 have stock kernel or is it customized? would I suffer from audio quality/ wifi-bluetooth connectivity/luquid cooling malfunction/generic drivers failure if this kernel is customized?
can I restore my apps/settings and home screen made by mi cloud/local backup from miui 9.6.22 after flashing the weekly build?

Are you being serious right now?
I've given you all the answers to your questions.
What is it you don't get when I say it's stock based.
Let me put it like this instead.
Xiaomi.eu is the exact same version as the official xiaomi weekly development version meaning it's the same kernel, modems, drivers, 1 drop of fluid in the heatpipe and so on.
The only thing with xiaomi.eu is that it's better, it's, optimized/ tweaked for better use and more towards users from all of the world, minus the Chinese stuff that most of us outside of China don't want nor need.
I hope my answers helps you understanding it's the same. Also please Google some, all those questions could easily be answered if you just Google or check a YouTube video about official vs xiaomi.eu. I even bet you get like a presentation with exact differences listed somewhere I bet.
Anyways you are welcome.

Thank you for your support
I already searched everywhere but couldn't get comprehensive answers except from you.
Thank you again for being patient
If you want to know the difference between the official and the eu ROM I suggest you first check what the difference is between official stable and official developer.
Also that you check xiaomi official forum because they post all that stuff on there. They even show you what changes have been made, what bugreports people have sent in and last but not least they even post what future updates will Come every week.
So you figure first out the difference between stable and developer, after that I think you will answer your very own questions about eu ROM vs developer official.
Peace [emoji111] I'm out

I have certain apps that don't have any notification settings, I can only enable the 'dot'. It's actually only two apps: Yi Home and Mi Home, when I open the notification settings of these apps it says they haven't shown any notifications and I only get one slider (for the 'dot').

Stock 9.6.22 for me, and this build does not provide notification channels.
I use an app called 'MIUI Hidden Settings' to set channel wise notifications. Just go into 'Manage Notification' section in that app and set channels accordingly for the apps you want.

I tried with this app but both the Yi Home and Mi Home app don't show in the list when I open 'manage notification' .
Any ideas?
I use Yi Home for my camera alerts so this is really annoying. I get no sound, LED, vibration, only a notification in the status bar which I have to look up manually.
I use Mi Home for my Roborock vacuum cleaner, this one does vibrate and activate the LED but the settings are not available for change.

How to fix 16:9 18:9 native apps?

Hello, I got some old apps and since I got this phone just yesterday I wonder if there is a way to fix them on all screen, instead of seeing black empty space.. thanks.

Only if the developer updates them you can't fix them yourself
