New xperia beta program marshmallow release in spain (23.5.A.0.486)need help - Xperia Z3 Android Development

Hi , as you read on the title. I ve been invited for the new xperia beta program in spain. In next days a will receive the new 23.5.0.486 marshmallow firmware for the z3 over the air. So I wonder if someone can tell me how to extract this firmware without root to share with the comunity. Any help will be appreciated. cheers

Without Root you cant share i think. To extract System you need Root rights, which will only work with Unlocked Bootloader if the Firmware comes with dm-verity like i expect. If you want to unlock Bootloader dont forget to make a TA Backup so you dont lose Sonys DRM Stuff like Camera Processing if you reapply on locked Bootloader.

If you can get ahold of the ftf (may be located in the OTA folder, possibly /cache/ota) then you can extract the sin file and decompile it to usable files.
After Ota download is complete but before you reboot for Ota, this is when you need to pull the OTA to your pc. I'm not sure of the exact location as I've not been using the xperia for long, but I've done this many times before on lg and moto devices. Maybe someone can verify where the OTA folder is located so you can try.

What if we have superuser pro and enable root survive by an OTA to 6.0.1 then we still have root acces ?

I've seen OTA's fail because of that. Most OTA's will fail if any of the partition checks fail so I'd assume Sony has similar safeguards in place as Samsung or lg. Best option is to pull the OTA once its done downloading and extract the sin files
